“Joanne and I bought this place when the kids were still young,” Paul says, outstretching an arm and bringing Tom closer. His thumb swipes along the underside of Tom’s wrist. “Whenever we needed to get away for a weekend or throw a party without them underfoot.” He laces their fingers together and presses a kiss to Tom’s knuckles. “Fuck out in the open.”
Paul’s scuff scrapes against Tom’s skin, leaving goosebumps in its wake. Shaky, Tom says, “So you bring all the girls here?”
Paul grins with too many teeth. “Only the ones I like.”
