It was a late night on the Airship and Blocky thought it'd be a good idea to explore around a bit to memorize the layout of the place. He had the day off tomorrow as well so it didn't matter if he slept in.
So there's restrooms over there, the escape pods are over there, the cafeteria is there… Blocky thought as he drew himself a map.
As he roamed the empty halls of the Airship, he started hearing voices, voices that sounded familiar.
"You know we can't keep this a secret forever right?"
"I know Right but... How do we go about telling the clan?"
What the... Blocky thought as he quietly approached the door to listen more.
Blocky at this point knew it was Right Hand Man and Reginald, the two in command, talking about something personal. He knew better than to listen in on probably confidential things but he was also genuinely curious what they could be talking about.
"The clan will understand Reg. It's not a big deal."
"I know I'm just... Afraid of their reaction. What if they overthrow us because of it?"
"If they overthrow their leaders because they're dating, we'll fight back."
REGINALD AND RHM ARE DATING!? Blocky thought.
I never would've thought-
Before Blocky could finish his thought, he heard a tumbling sound coming from the room Reginald and RHM were in.
"Oy, what's that?" RHM said before he saw a grey object shoot out of the vent.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" Reginald yelled.
DICE!? Blocky thought.
Dice hit the wall with a thud before unrolling and spotting the two leaders before him.
"IT'S A BUG RIGHT!! KILL IT!! KILL IT NOW!!!"
"Calm down Reg, I've got it!" RHM said before pulling out his gun and aiming it at Dice.
Dice froze with fear and shut his eyes tight, waiting for his inevitable end. Blocky, however, was not having it.
"STOP!" Blocky said as he ran into the room and blocked RHM from taking the shot.
"Blocky? What are you doing 'ere? Why aren't you asleep?" RHM asked as he slightly lowered his gun.
"Um, well, uh-"
"Wait. Were you... Spying on us?" Reginald asked while coming forward.
Shit. I'm screwed now.
"Uhh-"
"How much did you 'ear?" RHM asked suddenly.
"...The part where you guys said you were a couple?"
Both RHM and Reginald looked panicked before Blocky spoke up again.
"Guys it's fine! I'm not going to tell anyone! You're secret is safe with me..."
"Whew, that's a relief-" Reginald said.
"...Only if you let Dice stay."
Both RHM and Reginald turned around to talk amongst themselves.
"Well Reg?"
"You know, we could throw him and the bug overboard..."
"But his coffee is amazing Reg, the crew will be devastated."
"You know I can hear you two right?" Blocky said, causing the two to quickly turn around.
"F-Fine, we accept your deal but do note that if you spill our secret, we won't hesitate to kill you and your... Pet." Reginald said with disgust in his voice.
"He's not a pet! He's my friend!" Blocky said defensively.
"Whatever. You're dismissed now. Just make sure you keep your little friend out of sight. We don't want the clan thinking we have a bug infestation."
"Noted. Come on Dice." Blocky said as he gently picked up Dice and began leaving.
Dice, now being on top of Blocky's hat, stuck his tongue out at the two leaders as they walked out the door.
"Why I never!"
"Let it go Reg, it's just a bug."
"A very rude bug! Hhhh, if I see that twerp again I'll..."
As Blocky and Dice made their way back to the bedroom, Blocky started scolding Dice.
"Why did you leave the room Dice? You know how dangerous it is here on the Airship."
Dice stayed silent but acknowledged what Blocky said so he continued.
"I know it gets boring in the room when I'm not around but you can't just explore around like that, you could've gotten hurt or worse! I'm just looking out for you."
I'm sorry... Dice thought.
What the- Blocky thought as he stopped at the door to the bedroom.
Blocky gently grabbed Dice from the top of his hat and looked at him.
Did he... Speak to me just now? No, that would be ridiculous... He hasn't said a word since I found him... I'm probably just tired.
Dice stared at him weirdly before Blocky snapped out of his thoughts.
"S-Sorry little buddy! I thought I heard you say something just now. Anyways, let's head inside and get some sleep."
The two headed inside as Dice thought to himself.
So my parents were right then, I do have telepathy... Maybe I can use this to help out a bit...
