I’m writing a fanfiction about Mae and Malachy, two characters who couldn’t be more different, both in personality and life circumstances. Mae, from The Circle, is a working woman, structured and ambitious, deeply embedded in a corporate world that thrives on control and technology. Her personality reflects her idealism and drive, though her decisions often lead to moral ambiguity.
On the other hand, Malachy, from Cherrybomb, is a rebellious teenager navigating the chaos of youth in Belfast. Impulsive, emotionally raw, and living a life driven by thrill-seeking and peer pressure, Malachy’s “bad boy” persona starkly contrasts Mae’s composed, ambitious outlook. Their age difference and clashing worlds add a layer of forbidden tension that makes this project both exciting and challenging.
Mae is played by emma watson and Malachy is played by Rupert Grint obviously.... ( My romione )

To authentically portray these two characters and create a believable connection, I’ve started with extensive research, including rewatching their respective films to truly understand their motivations, traits, and arcs.
Mae’s idealistic but morally complex nature and Malachy’s reckless yet vulnerable personality will be key in developing their interactions. I’ve also begun drafting detailed profiles for both characters, including their backstories, emotional struggles, and what might draw them to each other despite their differences.
And the biggest problem is their age difference....Mae is a working woman around 25 to 30 and Malachy is a about 20 years old.... So I need to check that up too.....
This project will take a lot of effort, from exploring how their personalities would clash and complement each other to carefully addressing the taboo elements of their dynamic, such as their age difference. I’m excited to dive deeper into their worlds and bring their unlikely story to life.
