    Thirty year old Lila Pitt's is looking for a change.
    For her entire life she has lived under her mother's thumb, only managing a bit of escape when she moved from London to North Wales, taking a job at the University of Bangor. But unfortunately, her boss is a close acquaintance of her mother's and so the word "escape" is subjective at best. Not to mention, her girlfriend of three years recently broke up with her, and the dating scene in Bangor is rough.

    So when she is presented with a career opportunity that will take her to a small island off the coast of Maine State, America, of course she is tempted! Even if it means she has to stay with the introverted lightkeeper while she is there.
