Work Text:

"What is this?" Tobirama asked looking at the wrapper in his hand. Uchiha Madara was in front of him, and for some reason that he couldn't understand, he seemed a little nervous.

"A chocolate," Madara said with a tone of obviousness very palpable; Tobirama rolled his eyes and sighed annoyed. Then Madara laughed a little nervously. "A gift."

He looked at the chocolate with a big suspicion. "Why would you give me something?"

"Why not?" Madara said he knew Tobirama Senju used to be very distrustful, and he would ask everything about that gift. "It's just a chocolate, take it."

Tobirama looked at him with anger. Even though he didn't know why he looked at Madara like this only for a small chocolate, he thought Madara probably wanted to get something.

"I don't mind what you want, the answer is no."

Madara raised his shoulders and smirked. "Let's see about that." and then, not even waited Tobirama's answer before he left.

Tobirama didn't know what exactly to do; he had never received a gift, at least not without reason; however, he decided to eat it; it was ok; the chocolate seemed cheap, but its flavor was good. After all, he would have felt a little worried if Madara had given him an expensive gift.

In the following days, he received other cheap gifts, simple things like candies or flowers from the park; it was the perfect fit between giving him attention but not much; and Tobirama was fine with his position; the gifts were neither uncomfortable nor difficult to receive.

"What are you doing?" Tobirama asked, looking at the flower in Madara's hand, it was a poor flower without one or two petals, and its color faded because of a cruel hand that shortened its life. "What is that?"

"A flower... are you blind?"

"You call that a flower?" Tobirama laughed. "It's an offense for other flowers."

"It is said that you must give something similar to the person... So, a flower for another flower."

"What do you want exactly to say? That is a damaged flower."

"Like you," Madara said and winked.

Tobirama had many things but patience wasn't one of them; he didn't usually tolerate nonsense, and Madara's words were like light the dynamite. Madara laughed because a flush was more noticeable on pale skin and because Tobirama wasn't happy when he said Tobirama looked like a tomato.

"Get out of here" Tobirama barked.

"I'll do it, but with a condition..." Madara said, "Give me something I want".

Tobirama snorted "What do you want?"

Then, Madara thought about many things, and he wanted to say each one, but probably it would be too much for Tobirama, so Madara decided to keep his true desires in.

"A foot massage," Madara said and ignored Tobirama's sour face. "Do you know that in Kiri do a foot massage with their mouth?"

"I prefer to stab myself," Tobirama barked; he was outraged; how dare Madara say something like that? He would never use his mouth to do a work like this. However, the curiosity was more strong than him. "Where in Kiri?"

Madara laughed. "You're interested...haha don't get angry. In the brothel.

"You should have gone to Kiri for politics not to visit a whorehouse"

"Are you jealous? Don't worry, I'll visit you next time... No, wait, calm down" Madara said between laughs and worries when he saw Tobirama with a knife. "Where did you get that from?"

"Get out of here if you appreciate your life," he said but his angry face didn't avoid Madara's laughing. Sometimes, even Madara knew his actions and words crossed the line, but he couldn't help it. There was something in Tobirama that made him feel fine and fun when he looked at his face.

Madara was sitting while Hashirama walked around the room.

"So... you're saying that you tried to conquer my little brother," Hashirama said, his own hand touching his chin, and his body was full of curiosity. "How did you do that?"

"Firstly I gave him a chocolate, then a flower..."

"Chocolate and flowers, how romantic!" Hashirama joked, but Madara wasn't in the mood for his jokes. "Ha ha ha, calm down... It is exactly the problem; you need to be more savage."

"More savage?"

"Exactly. We talked about Tobirama; if he loves any flower, can only be a cactus," Hashirama explained. "So, you need to do something savage, or you never take his attention."

Madara thought about it for a while, Hashirama was right. Tobirama could be anything but never sensitive or delicate. If he were a flower, he would be a cactus; if he were a chocolate, he would be a dark unsweetened chocolate. He had been treating him like a cappuccino when he was an espresso.

"Give me some ideas," Madara asked but Hashirama didn't have experience with cactus; his wife was a strong but soft-hearted woman; Mito was like a rose: a beautiful flower with dangerous thorns. However, Tobirama was only the thorns.

"I don't have any but I wish you luck".

Maybe it was extreme to think that Tobirama was only the thorns; he had to be more; behind his shield and his armor, there must be more. Then, Madara thought about the way the cactus flourishes in adverse conditions, they only needed a little water and very little attention to give a majestic big flower. Could be Tobirama like this?

"Knock on the door." Tobirama barked, he was tired of saying the same words all the time, but Madara just ignored him.

"Take it," Madara said throwing him a dark chocolate with liquor. "You're welcome." and without waiting for an answer, he got out of there.

Tobirama looked at the chocolate he had thrown at him, he was confused by Madara's behavior; almost it seemed that...

If he weren't Madara, I would say he was trying to court me. He said to himself
