Summary
Bucky did what he had to do, what he always did. He left. He left his husband, daughter, and unborn son with the knowledge that he may very well not return. This mission was particularly dangerous, but Bucky didn’t really have an option. He feared what he may come home to, or what he may not come home to. He prepared himself for the worst but hoped for the best. A sense of uneasiness settled over him the closer he got to their home at the thought of Steve possibly not being there. He didn’t want to think about it but there wasn’t much else to occupy his mind.
