Ahhh! Imagine starting at U.A. the same year Hero Deku-sensei starts to teach!!! I was so excited I threw up in the middle of class but Deku-sensei sensei was so kind and helped me to infirmary.

Deku-sensei sensei is a wonderful teacher, but it’s pretty clear he’s nervous about teaching (you can tell by the fact that he was shaking so much that he kept dropping every piece of chalk he used to write on the board) so its a little hard to hard to understand him at times.

Deku-sensei is such a wonderful teacher that truly cares about each and one of his students. Everyone at U.A. is so fortunate to have Deku-sensei as a potential teacher on their road to becoming a Pro. A few times I stayed on campus for club meetings and I saw Deku-sensei asleep at his desk. It seems like he either stays at U.A. afterhours to work on lesson plans or stays up late planning his classes.

Just to reiterate the previous rating: I really appreciate that Deku-sensei always makes time for me outside of regular class time. I often miss class due to issues with my quirk so I need to do a lot of catching up. He’s always found time for me. I’m also just really dumb and need topics to be re-explained to me several times.
My one complaint is that Deku-sensei cries over literally anything and that also takes up a lot of time too. I was just explaining that I couldn’t make it to class on time for a month because of a family issue and that it took like 30 minutes because Deku-sensei started tearing up and I felt bad and decided to wait for him to finish blubbering. I ended up 15 minutes late to my English Class.

Deku-sensei provides each student with a customized analysis of our quirks, strengths, weaknesses, tells, and really anything that we wouldn’t normally realize about ourselves. It’s a really useful resource since it helps us understand what we can do better and what Deku-sensei is trying to achieve via the exercises he plans. Everyone in the class passed their provisional license exams and these customized analyses definitely helped.
But I recommend telling your parents about the analysis ahead of time because Deku-sensei adds A LOT of extra details in his analysis like exactly how many times I fall asleep in his class, how many times on average I twirl my pen while thinking, what I have in my water bottle even though I’ve never told him. My mom found my report one night and thought my teacher was stalking me. Authorities got involved and we all had to go to court to explain the situation.

So like, I love the guy, he saved the world and I’m grateful for being alive. The nicest member of U.A. 's faculty. He’s also not a nervous wreck teaching anymore. But like, I can’t for the life of me understand him when he mumbles during lecture and it goes on for an hour sometimes and I can feel my whole life slipping away in the process.

Also just a heads up for those expecting Deku-sensei to be easily available outside standard regular school hours based off previous ratings: halfway through the semester Dynamight started showing up at the end of the school day to drag Deku-sensei off campus so he’s not as accessible as he was during his first year of teaching.

Just to add to the previous rating: Yes Deku-sensei isn't available anymore outside of class but every time Dynamight showed up, he and Deku-sensei would straight up start brawling over Dynamight forcibly dragging Deku-sensei off campus. Our class made bets on who would win each week and who would win the most times by the end of the semester. I won so much money betting on Dynamight.

^ Adding to the rating above: Listen I didn't do well in this class but I won ¥78,000 ($500) because I bet one day Deku-sensei was going to lose his patience and take it out on Dynamight's motorcycle. Not only did Deku-sensei yoink Dynamight's motorcycle keys, but he rode off speeding into the sunset on the damn thing while Dynamight frantically chased after him.

I’m not gonna lie, Deku-sensei is a phenomenal teacher. I’m just too busy simping for him in class to pay attention properly, so like, if you’re also a degenerate: you should probably pick a different teacher so you can graduate on time.

So, a great teacher overall. Probably the best teacher I had all year. But he gave me a C in his class and I think it was all because I wrote one critical essay on Dynamight.
He didn’t really leave any edits on my essay. He just highlighted most of my essay and wrote one essay length comment at the end about how I’m wrong. If it wasn’t so funny I would be more pissed. Anyway, for anyone considering Deku-sensei just avoid talking about Dynamight.

To add to the previous rating: I wrote an essay that praised Dynamight’s ability to release super powerful but condensed explosions that limit infrastructure damage and Deku-sensei asked me to stay after class to talk about my analyses. That conversation was so long that it was completely dark out by the time I left the building.
But hey I got an A in the class and he gave me a pack of Dynamight themed stickers so whatevs.

I love Deku-sensei with all my whole heart and would gladly give up a kidney for this gift to humanity.
But I would also give up a kidney for Deku-sensei to stop inviting Hero Shoto and GEMG Dynamight to be guest instructors. He always invites questions to make the class more interactive.
Except all Dynamight does is insult us for like half an hour for how stupid our questions are and Hero Shoto gives us blank stares and 3 word answers. Then for class exercises the two proceed to beat the living shit out of us. My jaw has never worked the same since.

Genuinely such a fun person to be around. Deku-sensei is basically a friendly broccoli floret in a clean pressed suit with the vibe of a cinnamon roll desperately trying (and failing) to not make eyes at guest lecturer Dynamight even though everyone but them knows they should date.

I love Deku-sensei sensei!!! And you can tell the people around him also adore him because his former classmates like Uravity, Ingenium, Froppy, Hero Shoto, Dynamight, and Red Riot always make time for him and come to our class to guest lecture or help with class exercises (also a lot of us get signatures!!!)
I would also like to offer my sincerest condolences to Hero Shoto. I don’t know how he handled the neverending sexual tension between Dynamight and Deku-sensei. God made him genetically gifted to compensate for all the verbal edging…and probably his abusive father.

Honestly I thought this class was hard as hell and sometimes the grading criteria wasn’t always super clear to me, but when Deku-sensei rejected Hero Grape Juice’s request to guest lecture in this class that was an automatic perfect score for me.

I’m not gonna lie I don’t understand anything Deku-sensei is saying when he talks about quirk theory and application in class, but watching Dynamight break into the classroom through the window just to drop off lunch for Deku-sensei, only to get chased out of the school by Vlad King-sensei for destroying school property again was the highlight of each of the 36 weeks of the school year.

It is with a heavy heart that I report after another academic year has ended that Deku-sensei and Dynamight still aren’t together.
Great class exercises though, I learned to perfect a complex electric webshot attack through them.

There’s something really heartwarming reading about how nervous Deku-sensei used to be when teaching to witnessing him absolutely in his element as a teacher today. You can tell that Deku-sensei really loves heroes and quirks, and even though he isn’t in active duty anymore and doesn't have OFA, his eyes shine with genuine admiration and encouragement for his students.
His class has also become more challenging as a result though so be prepared to work hard.

Taking a class taught by the greatest hero ever is a really interesting experience because Deku-sensei acts like such a cinnamon roll most of the time: he leaves kind messages on our exams, he gives out hero trading cards for Christmas, he always says hello if you pass him in the halls.
But when a villain snuck into campus during training Deku-sensei broke both of the guy’s legs and the whole time he didn’t stop lecturing while doing it.

Deku-sensei has genuinely changed U.A. for the better in the 6 years he has been teaching here. When I first started at this school there was only an informal system that existed to help students with quirks that didn’t naturally lend themselves to combat. Shortly after I spoke to him about my concerns in my second year he spoke with Recovery Girl and Power Loader and they established a new subsection of the support course that trains rescue and recovery students that focus on healing victims of disasters.
Also he gives you All Might stickers when he returns your exams!!!

Deku-sensei has become more established as a teacher and started leaving campus more often to give talks and lectures at schools, conferences, community programs, etc which shows just how great of a teacher he has become. Sadly, it also means he’s not on campus as much and is generally harder to track down, but you can tell he does his best to make time for his students.
Just be careful because Aizawa-sensei substitutes for the class quite a bit and he is a scary, scary (soft hearted deep down) scary yellow caterpillar. The trick is to have cute cat photos ready to ward off his deadly aura.

I know I applied to U.A. because I believed in my ability to be a hero, at least enough to take the entrance exam. But it was ultimately having Deku-sensei as my hero course instructor that helped me realize how exactly I could be a hero that protected others. Having a sensei that truly believed in my potential to be a good hero and knowing how he became the world’s greatest hero despite not having a quirk got me through the toughest exercises at U.A. I feel like I’m going into my third year more prepared compared to my peers.
But Deku-sensei lost 3 points because he broke my spine during a training exercise. He gets one back because he gave me an A for the class.
