“So, Master Diluc,” Kaeya drawled, his voice carrying over the quiet. “A rare sight to see you so relaxed. Isn’t it past your bedtime?”
Diluc glanced up, his hands pausing briefly as he wiped down the counter. “Someone has to make sure you don’t drink the place dry,” he replied, his tone as dry as the wine Kaeya favored. “Though I’m surprised you haven’t already started another bottle.”
Kaeya chuckled, the sound rich and teasing. “And here I thought you kept me around for my charm, not my thirst.” He stopped at the top of the stairs, leaning on the banister as he watched Diluc ascend. “Or is it both?”
