I keep thinking about you

Summary:

“The sunset came sooner than I expected.” Leehan spoke with admiration in his words.

“Yeah, it did. Time flies fast, doesn’t it?” Taesan responded back with admiration. But this time, he isn’t looking at the sunset, he’s looking at the person beside him.

Fuck. I’m in love, aren’t I?

Work Text:

Oh girl, you’re so amazing.

I know you’re mean, but I’ll pretend I didn’t notice.

Taesan sits alone in a studio room all alone, listening to his own produced song. Taesan can’t stop clicking his pen. His paper full of lyrics and scratches makes his mind wander in its cage, trapped like a bird. He knew something was missing, but he can’t figure out what that is.

Ugh… He holds his head and looks down at the desk to curse at himself. All his motivation and creativity went down the drain. He put down the headphones from his head to the desk and walked out of the studio with frustration in his mind.

Please be by my side, ‘cause I'm going crazy.

I mean, I keep on thinking about you.

“Hey Dongmin, you look down.” A blonde boy hangs his arm over Taesan. One of his eyebrows raised in question.

“I was working on a song because I felt like something and now it doesn’t sound good.” Taesan replied drily. He then throws Leehan’s arm back to the blonde himself.

“Do you want any cafeteria food? I’ll buy you something, come on!” Leehan smiled with his eyes. It’s something Taesan always loves seeing his best friend of 4 years smile without any problems.

“Watch your steps, Donghyun-ah. Don’t walk backwards or you’ll fall.” Taesan joked and chuckled slightly.

Why are you so annoyingly popular?

I don’t want to lose you like this baby.

“Oppa! Can you help me with this?” A girl near the two gently tapped on Leehan’s shoulders and suddenly spoke with a high pitched voice yet soft vocals.

“Oh, you need something?” Leehan slightly bent down his height to match with the girl.

“Can you please get that food for me? I couldn’t reach it because I’m a little small…” She points out kimchi with her head looking down with a hint of blush on her face. Donghyun saw the blush but assumed it was from the make up they were using, so he didn’t care about the girls in other tables aweing the interaction.

Leehan quickly gets the kimchi that she was pointing at on the girl’s lunch try. “Is this enough?” He softly asked the girl. She quickly nodded and headed back to her table where others were doing high fives while others were asking how it went.

“Don’t you feel sick of seeing her everyday trying to flirt with you?”

“I’m sending her signs that I’m hard to get.” Leehan winked at Taesan who looks like he’s totally fine with the girl but deep down, he could feel his heart ache with sickness and an ugly hint of jealousy.

As the last bell rang, Leehan waited for Taesan at the school gate. Taesan with short black hair came out of the school with his bike. He looks at the usual spot for their meet up and well… the scene he saw almost made him mad. He couldn’t figure out why the hell he was feeling like this. He pushes the feelings aside and walks down to Leehan.

“Let’s go. We can’t be late.” Taesan only whispered to Leehan with two sentences and dragged him out of the circle from a group of girls surrounding Leehan.

Their usual hang out spot went out smoothly with no awkwardness hanging in the air. Leehan knows Taesan won’t talk about it unless he wants to and Taesan knows he should spend time together before any misunderstandings happen.

Before they know it, the sun sets with a bright orange hue and purple hue hanging in the sky. The two sit down on a bench in the park after playing for a while in an arcade.

Since I’m always in the cold, I’m awake for hours now.

I mean, I keep on thinking about you.

Leehan and Taesan both met 4 years ago unexpectedly. Taesan was on his way to Busan by train. He usually goes solo on vacations and likes to spend time alone aside from his little brother, Han Woonhak.

Of course, buying one ticket for himself means he would have to sit with a complete stranger. He just has to pray that a normal person sits beside him. While looking out in the window, a boy with long black hair and glasses sits beside him. Taesan declared to himself that he won’t be talking to the person next to him for the entire ride. Little did he know he would fail miserably.

The boy was extremely friendly and would check on you while you’re eating. They both had small talks but soon they ended fast. Taesan wanted to clear the awkwardness lingering near them but still, he was shy. He never had any interactions like this before in his life.

“Why did you want to come to Busan?” The guy asked with pure confusion. It’s not like he was being disrespectful, but he was just curious.

“I…” He pauses before saying the next line. He hasn’t talked about this with anyone, not like they’re gonna understand him. “I needed a break from all the pressure and wanted to see the sea before my exam.”

“What about you?” Taesan adds on after his answer. The boy thought about it for a while. Taesan’s head was filled with worries until he answered back.

“I’m visiting my parents, I haven’t seen them in a long time.” His smile was unique from others in Taesan’s perspective.

Taesan later learns that his name is Kim Donghyun but people call him Leehan, that he’s the same age as him and that he loves marine life so much that he knows almost every fun fact about his beloved fish, corydoras.

He also learns that he’s an oddball, which his close friends call him. Taesan oddly can’t remember anything about them except his fish fun facts and places to visit in Busan guide. Of course, his face too. How could Taesan forget that?

After getting off the train, Leehan gave a paper with numbers written on it and a message, ‘Text me if you want! You seems like a great person ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )’ alongside with ‘+010 xxxx xxxx’ with a bunch of doodles across the paper.

Taesan spent his vacation happily without any problems. He made sure to text Leehan a ‘thank you’ message once after the days in Busan were over. From that day, their friendship bloomed quickly and soon enough, Leehan would be changing school to Taesan’s.

The first day of school was nervous for Taesan as he hasn’t felt like this in a while. His little brother Woonhak has to keep on reassuring that it’ll be fine and to not worry if you mess up. The two brothers stand outside of the school gates and Woonhak faces Taesan with both hands.

“Hyung, you’re weird. You were nonchalant about the first day at school and now you’re shaking like crazy!”

“Woonhak-ah, will I be okay? I won’t stutter when introducing myself, right?”

“Ah, hyung! I’m not in your class, how would I know!?”

“Come on Woonhak! You’re supposed to comfort me or something.”

“Dongmin hyung, don’t worry about anyone else. Just pretend they’re jealous of you.”

His brother’s words definitely did not help him, that’s for sure. Taesan arrived in front of the class while holding onto his backpack. He takes a breath and goes inside, hoping no one is eyeing on him.

Once he scans the available desks, he finds a familiar face. He quickly sits down to the seat beside him.

“Hey.” Taesan waves his hand in front of the boy who was gazing from the window. He turns his head around and bursts into joy.

“Dongmin! I haven’t seen you in a while.” Leehan hugs Taesan with too much force but Taesan doesn't mind. “I still can’t believe my eyes that you’re in the same school and changed just for me.” Taesan spoke with excitement filled in his conversation.

The bell interrupts the moment for just the two of them. Students ran in the classroom and soon, everyone was seated in their seats. Leehan subtly smiled towards Taesan, and Taesan did the same.

After countless days of spending and hanging out together in each of their houses, taking a late night walk together in the neighborhood, cooking food for both, sharing childhood stories and writing songs together, their bond deepens after years.

Although there’s one problem with Leehan, he’s undeniably handsome for both genders. He would receive love letters and gifts from numerous students, and it’s suffocating for Taesan. He can’t go a day without having to answer questions about Leehan’s favourite dessert or whatever Taesan heard.

Leehan knows it’s a problem for both of them, however he can’t stop all the students from putting their letters in his locker. They would still put even after Leehan announced that he has no interest in dating and that he would chase someone after instead of being the one getting chased if he’s interested in someone. Leehan locked his locker and wrote ‘DO NOT PUT YOUR LETTERS HERE, I DO NOT LIKE ANYONE. AT ALL.’ with capital letters and a black sharpie. Taesan feels relieved for no reason but at least there won’t be people who keep on asking about Leehan anymore.

Last year before they both were seniors, Leehan dated a girl. She was like a word for perfect, from looks to academics. Like a good friend Taesan is, supported their relationship at all cost. Leehan was taken aback that Taesan wouldn’t be sulking after announcing the news to him. By the time Leehan and his girlfriend were still dating, Taean felt the urge to write songs about chasing one after. However, he couldn’t bring himself to actually produce the song, so it stayed in the back of his mind for the whole junior year.

After 7 months, Leehan and the girl broke up on good terms. Soon after the break up, Leehan would be on the bathroom floor, ranting about how he fucked up their relationship by ignoring his girlfriend. From that day, Taesan felt like something new was going to happen one day.

Both of them are in Taesan’s room. Taesan is writing lyrics while Leehan is using his phone. “Do you think these lyrics are good enough?” Taesan asked and to his no surprise, Leehan was giggling and texting the boy he met a week ago. Taesan doesn’t remember the name exactly, Kang Hyunbin? Kang Yumin? He’s too tired to deal with them. Leehan didn’t respond back. Taesan has no choice but to ask him “What’s going on between you and him?”

This time, he finally looks Taesan in the eyes. His fingers fidgeted with his rings. He quietly answered “We’re sort of in a talking stage… I forgot to tell you about it.”

“You could’ve told me about it."

“It’s none of your business.”

“We’re friends, Donghyun. I’m happy for you but still, I need to know about him.”

“I’ll introduce him to you once we’re in a committed relationship.” And just like that, Leehan stopped talking and walked out of Taesan’s room.

Taesan felt like he’s fucked up. He looked at his lyrics again, and it felt like they were mocking him. That day, he sobbed alone on his bed while holding the lyrics sheet and cried to sleep.

How inferior am I?

You’re drawn to that unpleasant beast?

You said it’s none of my business, let it go if it is now.

But my head is filled with you.

Days went by and their friendship is hanging onto the thread. Leehan wouldn’t bring up about him and the boy and Taesan would avoid the subject. He mentally noted himself to not mention it again, or he would’ve really fucked up for real.

Some weeks later, Leehan finally introduced his boyfriend to Taesan. Taesan knows he’s a good guy and wouldn’t hurt a fly, and that’s what makes his head dizzy and his heart ache whenever both of them are lovey dovey in front of him.

"How about other girls besides me?”

What do you mean how?

I’m going to wish you don’t work out well with him,

I can’t love anyone else.

Leehan still hangs out with Taesan, though this time his boyfriend, Kang Hyunbin comes along with him. Taesan sometimes tch under his breath to this day.

Their study hang out is always a duo, never a trio. Leehan only talks about his fun facts to Hyunbin and not to Taean anymore. And Taesan admits he misses his silly fun facts with Leehan but ever since he’s got a boyfriend, Leehan doesn’t seem to tell and can’t make plans for their hangouts anymore.

“Donghyun, are you free? We need to study for the upcoming test.”

“Hm? Yeah I’m sort of free, but can I invite Hyunbin too?

“Yeah, you can.” Taesan hangs up the phone and sighs under his breath.

At the cafe they usually study, Taesan was seen overworking with a laptop and about four books. Leehan walks into the cafe with Hyunbin and some books. He saw Taesan wearing glasses that Leehan gave on his birthday. They both sit down at the table near Taesan as his table is messy with all the paper.

“You should find a girl, you look like a lonely nerd right now.” Leehan jokes. Taesan knows he’s joking but every since that day, his feelings have become more complicated for Leehan. He knows he shouldn't push and ignore them but he can’t help it.

“I don’t need a girl right now.” Because I can’t love anyone else but you. His mind speaks out, thank god it’s only in his head. It would’ve been a bad time to talk about it.

Why do you keep pushing and pulling me?

Don’t treat me like a fool, babe, oh, oh

“Dongmin! Are you free on Saturday? We could go to the cinema for a movie or something.” Leehan says over the phone call.

“I could be, what movie is it?”

“It's a horror one, it just came out recently. I haven’t been spending time with you so I ditched my boyfriend for this weekend just to hang out.”

“Oh, right. I’m not really free, I have to accompany Woonhak for his friend’s birthday party. We could go next time?”

“Alright then…” Leehan hangs up first for the first time in their 4 years of friendship. Normally, Leehan wouldn’t hang up first unless there’s something important but now, he hung up first without any explanation. Taesan knows he shouldn’t overthink but the ignorance is starting to eat his heart alive.

The blameless diary keeps being my target of anger.

Now I’ll throw away all the pictures we took together.

“Hey Woonhak, are you free right now?” Taesan’s voice trembles but Woonhak doesn’t seem to notice it.

“I am, why? Do you need anything?”

“Just come home fast, I need someone to listen.”

Ding dong! Taesan’s doorbell rang twice, then a door opened sound followed.

“Hyung! I’m here!” Woonhak happily opened Taesan’s room, and chaos erupted.

“Taesannie hyung! Why are you crying? What happened?”

The room was messy with him and Leehan’s pictures taken at the beach, at the park for their picnic, some photos were seen torn apart while some were in the garbage, lyrics sheets of him and Leehan’s works pulled apart, computer screen opened with both Taesan’s and Leehan’s own produced song in the trash bin, Taesan's music posters hanging just by one pin while some were ripped apart and Taesan holding a picture of them together when they first met and crying like a baby in the middle of all the mess.

“Woonhak… I can’t move on..” Taesan’s voice shakes with misery and despair. “No matter how much I try, I can’t do anything but suffer…” Taesan rises from all the mess and cries on Woonhak’s shoulders.

“Is anything okay between you and Leehan…?” Woonhak askes with caution. When getting a sign that his brother isn’t going to talk about it, he has to investigate it for himself.

“Alright hyung, you should skip school tomorrow, I’ll help you out with it.”

“No Woonhak, you can’t-”

“I will. For now, just take a rest. I’ll clean up all these later.” Woonhak pleads rest for Taesan then he goes to the kitchen to cook some dinner.

One word to describe Taesan right now is hell. He blocked Leehan’s number knowing he wouldn’t call him until next weekend, he tore apart their memorable pictures, he deleted every single song except his work in progress song, Woonhak having to take care of him, he feels like shit. He always wanted to be a strong sibling for his brother, not to be crying over some stupid feelings.

Why am I like this?

Oh, I’m going crazy now.

Okay, I won’t bother you.

The day after Taesan’s breakdown, all the flu symptoms start to attack like crazy. Taesan has no choice but to stay at home, at least it’s better than seeing Leehan and Hyunbin kissing on the cheeks with each other.

“Hyung, I’ll feed you. Say ahh ” Woonhak excitedly does the airplane move to make Taesan eat.

“It’s childish, I’ll eat it by myself.” He gently pushes the spoon in front of him and giggles slightly.

“That’s boring! Plus, I have not once fed you in my life, so this one should count!”

“Is that your intention?” Taesan is now laughing with his gummy smile that he once hated. Flashbacks of him and Leehan at the Hangang river flooded into his mind.

“You look cute with that smile.”

“No, not really. I hate it very much.”

“I’m serious, you look… warm with that smile.”

"... Yours too.”

Taesan stopped smiling and turned into a cold face. Woonhak immediately notices it and stops teasing Taesan.

Woonhak’s phone rang loudly, interrupting the train of thoughts in Taesan’s mind. Woonhak looks at Taesan and he nods. He then puts the call on the speaker.

“Hey Woonhak, is Taesan there? He isn’t picking up my phone.”

“He’s with me, I think his phone battery ran out.”

“Oh thank god, can I ask something?”

“What is it?”

“Why didn’t he come to school today?”

“He’s sick right now, I’m taking care of him.” Immediately after, Taesan snatched the phone from Woonhak’s hands and spoke for himself.

“I’m fine Donghyun-ah. Don’t come here, I can take care of myself.”

“You sure? Normally you call me when you’re sick…”

“I’m alright dummy, now go hang out with Hyunbin.” Taesan hangs up and gives back to Woonhak who’s looking like he’s about to punch Taesan. “You know lying isn’t going to do anything, right?

“At least it buys more time for me to be ready.”

Hey, I’m okay with being friends with you,

I’m alright if you’re just by my side,

I don’t like it one bit, but you like it so that’s all I need.

Once after the sickness is gone, Taesan goes back to school like normal, but now Hyunbin isn’t here with Leehan anymore.

“Isn’t Hyunbin coming?” Taesan asked with a confused expression written on his face. Leehan ignores what he asked and keeps on doing homework.

After a silence, Leehan spoke up. “We broke up.”

“Don’t mind it, I’m fine. Can we talk about something else?” Leehan suppresses the emotions coming like a tsunami towards a city.

Taesan thinks it’s selfish to feel happy that Leehan broke up with Hyunbin. “Right, do you want to listen to the one I’m working on?”

“Sure!” Leehan replied with enthusiasm. He takes the wired headphones from Taesan and clicked play.

Leehan’s expression turned from excitement to confusion. Taesan knows he’s focusing on lyrics rather than melody, Taesan knows him the best.

“Do you have someone you love? The lyrics are showing your emotions.” He deadpanned and asked Taesan who looked like a mouse trapped in the corner.

“I do actually, I’m still dealing with my feelings now so I’ll tell you later.”

“The Han Dongmin having a crush? Okay but I’m your friend! I should be the first one to know if you figure it out!” Leehan picks up his bag from the table and there he goes to the library. Little voice in Taesan’s head tells him that he should make a move now or never.

I keep coughing,

It happens to rain outside,

When you’re feeling lonely or bitter,

Then come to me.

Today is now Sunday. Taesan wakes up from the gloomy sky. He looks at the weather app, saying it’ll rain today. He doesn’t have any classes so he can rest without any problems. Taesan unblocked Leehan’s phone number a day before, he hopes he can finally make a move. But one thing, he doesn’t know how to flirt.

“So you’ve come to me for flirting advice.” Woonhak moves his eyebrows teasingly. Taesan grabs a cushion near him and throws it at Woonhak playfully.

“Ya, Han Woonhak. I’m not joking!”

“I know hyung! I’ve never seen you this serious before.”

“Just use your kdrama knowledge or something…”

“Don’t disrespect my interests like that!”

“Ugh fine… How do I get his attention.”

Woonhak’s ‘guide on how to become a gentleman and how to flirt’ got him rethinking his decisions.

(“What do you mean I have to like- physically touch him? I’m bad at that, you know it the best!”

“It’s easy! Don’t you two hug and all?”

“...”

“I’ll take that as yes.”)

Taesan arrived at Leehan’s doorstep. He hesitated to ring the bell or not, but without ringing, Leehan would think it’s a robber breaking in, right?

The sky started to rain and after, it became heavy. Taesan makes a decision to ring the bell.

Taesan rings once, then twice, until he hears nothing back. He takes out his phone and calls Leehan.

“Donghyun, where are you?”

“Come pick me up in front of the school.” Leehan’s voice shivers with coldness.

Taesan hangs up the call and immediately gets an uber. When arriving at the place Leehan told him, he saw the boy he loved sitting on the stairs with his whole body drenched in rain. He took out the umbrella he thankfully got from his house and ran towards Leehan.

Taesan nudges Leehan and covers him with his umbrella. “Come on, you’re gonna catch a cold.” Taesan helped Leehan with soaked clothes at home and made a warm dinner for Leehan. After Leehan came back with pyjamas that Taesan bought, the view almost made Taesan faint. Leehan showing just a tiny bit of his collarbone than usual could make Taesan go to cloud 9.

Taesan quickly gets a grip of himself and plates the food. The dinner went without any problems. While washing the dishes, Leehan came behind Taesan and hugged him. “Thank you for coming to save me in the rain.” Leehan spoke in a raspy voice that Taesan only gets to hear once a blue moon.

They stay in position till Taesan is finished with washing. He moves to see Leehan with his eyes, but Leehan’s grip was too strong.

“Donghyun-ah, you need to sleep to make sure you won’t get cold from the rain.” Taesan ruffles Leehan’s hair and holds his waist for the first time.

Leehan jumped a bit but calmed down after getting used to the new pose. Taesan realised that Leehan isn’t going to move so he has no choice but to slowly drag him into the bedroom.

Taesan closed all the lights in the house and whispered “Good night, baby.” to Leehan who’s already in the dreamland. That night, Taesan thanked Woonhak thru texting and sent him lots of heart emojis.

(“Okay hyung, the next step is important!”

“I get scared whenever you say that…”

“Let’s say, you both are hanging out, right? If he’s explaining or focusing on something, you have to show interest in it.” Taesan nods after Woonhak, smiling.

“Then you slowly but surely… move inch by inch towards his face to show that you want to kiss him.”

“Isn’t it too early for that…?”

“Remember, now or never!”)

Taesan is now playing games on his phone while Leehan is watching his fish in the fish tank. Taesan sometimes wonders why he’s so interested in the fish tank, then he remembers Woonhak’s words.

He ditched the game and walked towards the tank. “What’s got you so focused here?”

“Sannie, I love my fish, of course they make me focus.” He said without batting an eye to Taesan while Taesan was caught off guard by the sudden nickname.

Taesan quietly sits down on one of the chairs and looks at the fish. They’re somehow mesmerising, maybe that’s why Leehan likes them.

“Woah, you got a new fish?”

“You noticed! Yeah, I got another one because that little guy seems lonely without any friends.”

“What about your shrimps?”

“They’re here, but they aren’t eating their food. They’re stealing the fish’s food.” Leehan points out the shrimps swimming near the rocks.

They stay silent and watch the sea animals swimming around. Woonhak’s voice echoes in Taesan’s head, telling him ‘ now or never ’ over and over. So, he does what he’s told to.

He moves his body inch by inch until their shoulders are touching. Then, he tilts his head little by little and now, Taesan’s head is on Leehan’s shoulders, watching the fish tank together.

“Do you want to go to an aquarium tomorrow?”

Leehan turns his head around and his eyes spark with joy when Taesan mentions the aquarium. Taesan knows Leehan hasn’t been at the aquarium since he was young. Ever since school work occupied Leehan’s free time, he hasn’t had time to visit the aquarium.

“Do you think I wouldn’t accept that? Of course, I’ll go!” He giggled with his mesmerising smile. If fish got Leehan mesmerised, then Leehan’s smile got Taesan mesmerised for eternity.

After arriving back at Taesan’s house, he ran into Woonhak’s room and announced what’s up with him and Leehan.

“See! I told you my method works!”

“It’s not the time for celebrating, I need you to help me with what to wear for tomorrow.”

“No… not that one.”

“You think black will fit an aquarium date?”

“Hyung, you should wear something bright!”

“Let me fix your fashion sense, I’ll just dress you up.”

Woonhak gets impatient with Taesan’s choice of clothes and finds one for himself. Woonhak came back with a bunch of beige clothes and started to assemble the clothes one by one.

After minutes of denying and accepting which clothes to wear, Woonhak pulls out an ultimate date fit he called ‘for stylish date’.

Taesan walks out of the bathroom with white and beige jacket on top, blue jeans with his favourite glasses.

“You look a thousand times cooler, hyung! You look more like an ideal boyfriend now!” Taesan got embarrassed at the compliment, hoping that Leehan will be more handsome than ever tomorrow.

Taesan anxiously waits for Leehan in front of the aquarium they were supposed to meet. His foot uncontrollably tapping on the floor and having the urge to bite his nails. Just in time, Leehan arrived at the aquarium. Taesan felt like the whole world stopped and that he’s in another universe.

Leehan slowly steps in front of him. “Hi.” said Leehan, who was looking up and down at Taesan. He responded back with a small greeting to Leehan.

“Are you ready?”

“I always am.”

The two went into the building, hand in hand. At first, Taesan was hesitating to hold his hand or not, but Leehan grabs Taesan’s hand by accident but Taesan doesn’t seem to mind it. So now, both of them are watching fish swimming and Taesan is busy searching for the right song for the mood. He knows Leehan loves Taesan’s cover songs, so he opened reality cover by himself.

He unconsciously puts one headphone in his ear and one in Leehan’s ear. Leehan was off guard by the action but didn’t care that much.

After walking around for a while, Leehan is finding a good spot to take pictures. Taesan saw what he was doing and offered to take pictures. Cute . He thought silently in the back of his mind.

The sun paints the sky with blue and orange colours, Taesan feels like he has won in life after their successful date. Unfortunately, this also means they have to go back home. Leehan, also like Taesan, doesn’t want to go back home and let the day end.

“Thank you for taking me back home, I appreciate it.” Leehan stands outside of his house, holding tightly to his phone.

“It’s alright.” Taesan nonchalantly replied, knowing he’s excited inside.

Taesan was about to step back until he heard Leehan’s voice. “Can I ask something?”

“Yeah?”

“You didn’t tell me this was a date, right?

There it goes, Taesan getting caught alive. His brain goes into panic and stutters what he was about to say.

“Was it too… uncomfortable for you…?”

Leehan chuckles and walks towards Taesan. “You idiot, I loved it. What I mean is do you like me?”

Taesan feels like collapsing on the spot but he can’t, Leehan is in front of him. Taesan takes a moment to nod slowly. Leehan then beams a smile at Taesan and hugs him out of happiness.

“I like you too! No- not like, love you!”

“Are we both idiots?” Taesan mutters while hugging Leehan. Leehan shyly nodded. Taesan broke the hug to look at the time, it’s already dark outside.

“I’ve gotta go, see you then…?”

Leehan didn’t answer back. Taesan got confused with what he did. Then he gets the hint.

Taesan slowly marches towards Leehan and takes his hand to cup his face. Before he knows it, Leehan’s lips are on his.

At first, they were just testing out the water, but the kiss got so intense that Taesan is now fully covering Leehan’s body by the doorstep.

Taesan’s brain chanting Donghyun Donghyun Donghyun while kissing, it almost made him lose his mind. They both pant after the practical make out in front of Leehan’s house.

“I’ll go now… haha! See you at school, then.”

Then the door closed with a shut, Leehan’s heart beat in sync with Taesan who was standing outside alone.

(Taesan came back home with a cheerful scream. He hopes his neighbours aren’t mad about that.)

Taesan and Leehan continued their time at school. Except this time, their status changed. Both of them are in music room, testing out instruments.

“Hey Han, do you wanna listen? I just finished the song.”

“Let’s give it a shot, then!” He played the demo song that Taesan made.

Oh girl, you’re so amazing.

I know you’re mean, but I’ll pretend I didn’t notice.

Please be by my side, ‘cause I'm going crazy.

I mean, I keep thinking about you.

Why are you so annoyingly popular?

I don’t want to lose you like this baby.

Since I’m always in the cold, I’m awake for hours now.

I mean, I keep thinking about you.

Taesan's voice soothes Leehan’s eardrums. His voice is like a lullaby to Leehan, he could never get tired of it.

How inferior am I?

You’re drawn to that unpleasant beast?

You said it’s none of my business, let it go if it is now.

But my head is filled with you.

“How about other girls besides me?”

What do you mean how?

I’m going to wish you don’t work out well with him,

I can’t love anyone else.

Why do you keep pushing and pulling me?

Don’t treat me like a fool, babe, oh, oh

Leehan looks over to Taesan who’s all blushy and giggling. He tries hard to focus back on the lyrics again.

The blameless diary keeps being my target of anger.

Now I’ll throw away all the pictures we took together.

Why am I like this?

Oh, I’m going crazy now.

Okay, I won’t bother you.

Hey, I’m okay with being friends with you,

I’m alright if you’re just by my side,

I don’t like it one bit but you like it so that’s all I need.

I keep coughing,

It happens to rain outside,

When you’re feeling lonely or bitter,

Then come to me.

Leehan puts down the headphones from his ears. He spins Taesan’s chair to his direction and looks him in the eyes. “Did you write that song about me?” He tilts his head afterwards.

“What do you think?”

Leehan just snickers. Without a word, he lightly pressed his lips on Taesan’s cheeks.

(Woonhak came back in the evening. The scene he saw was probably the worst thing he could possibly imagine.

“Get out of my favourite couch!”

Just like that, the couple moves to Taesan’s bedroom. Woonhak takes a sneak peak right after and he thinks he’s gonna have to move to his friend’s apartment because they’re sickeningly in love.)
