    Jayce was not a jealous man.

    He had never been. It was against his nature. In the few relationships he’d had in the past, he’d never been possessive or overbearing or controlling. That would mean he thought he held some ownership over his partner, which could never be true. They were free to talk to and befriend whoever they liked, and he would trust that they would come back to him. That was who he was. Jayce didn’t get jealous.

    So whatever emotion he was experiencing now, it was absolutely not jealousy.
