Akk remembers his childhood best friend, of course he does, as if the last time he saw Theo was just this morning, as they went separate ways to their classrooms, and not ten years ago.
Akk also remembers the texts without replies, the emails that went unanswered, the phone calls that no one picked up. Remembers the nights spent awake wondering if their friendship ever meant anything to Theo, if he thought about Akk even a fraction of how much Akk's thought about him.
Probably not - it was Theo who broke them apart, after all.
