Work Text:

Charles had been looking forward for the weekend. His friends were all busy with their own plans in which Charles was much grateful for. Ciel was going all the way to Momosu to meet Gina for a hangout, which he was very excited about but the moment he picked up the phone call from the girl, he acted like he was dilly-dallying. Albert went home to England to spend time with his grandparents. They had missed him terribly so. Leon and Felix didn't have any plans and Leon much preferred staying inside but when Charles shared with him what he wanted to do with Alexis, he understood immediately and booked a whole book cafe for him and Felix to spend a whole day at.

Now the blonde really was alone with his beloved boyfriend.

Now, they can make a mess in the kitchen and be as cringey as they both wanted. No one was around to judge them.

"Cinnamon cupcakes recipes." Alexis browsed through the articles Charles had sent him throughout the entire week. He let out a soft chuckle before looking at Charles who just walked into the kitchen with an apron on. The blonde walked over to Alexis whose apron was still untied. Charles took the ribbon strips and tied them for him as he listened to Alexis' read out more of the recipes he's sent. Charles only realised how many he's sent after hearing Alexis read out every title of the recipes he sent.

“Why did you send me so many?"

“It's always good to have backup recipes."

"Yeah but which one should we use? Do we even have the ingredients?" Alexis placed his phone on the kitchen counter after picking one recipe randomly. The brunet turned around to find the ingredients need in the kitchen cabinets. Charles leaned over the phone, looking at which recipe his boyfriend had chosen. He swiped through the recipe once then made himself useful by reading out the ingredients they needed. Alexis moved around the kitchen swiftly as he gathered the ingredients Charles read out. Most of the time it's in a spot he can reach but the ones he couldn't, he would call for his boyfriend's help.

"I can't reach the cinnamon." He called out. Charles turned to help with a wide smile on his face, walking over to where Alexis was. He reached up to grab the small cinnamon jar, trapping Alexis in the spot. The taller looked down at his boyfriend and leaned forward to steal a kiss. Alexis let out a soft scoff at the cheeky act before pushing Charles away and get back to baking. They don't have all day. Once they had every ingredients on the kitchen counter, they were ready to start baking.

"Alright! Let's start!" Charles beamed.

The couple had minimal knowledge in baking but it really can't be that hard, right? They had Alexis' phone up on the counter for them to reference the recipe back every three seconds. Charles joked about how they will definitely depend on the recipe like it was a bible, and Alexis laughed at the little joke. Alexis was genuinely hoping that this little baking date was successful in every way. Sure, the main reason they're having this date was to have fun and just spend time with each other, chatting and baking and goofing around. But it would be a lot better if they ended up with a beautiful batch of cinnamon cupcakes for them to eat. Something about being able to make something good with his beloved was just so sweet to him.

Charles took out his phone and put on a playlist of songs he compiled for Alexis. The brunet heard the first song and a smile came up on his face immediately when he hears his favourite song. He watched as Charles started to shimmy towards him with a block of butter in his hands, making him hold back a laugh. The blonde placed the butter into a small bowl for them to melt it in the microwave. He pressed a few buttons before turning around just in time for a chorus, singing it out loud for Alexis with his arm extended towards the brunet. Alexis laughed but he still took the others offer to dance. The two twirled in the kitchen even after the microwave had beeped. Alexis was in good spirits right after, having high hopes for the cupcakes to turn out great. The two communicated pretty well through the entire baking process, telling the other what was happening and letting them know if they have added an ingredient into the mix. Making a baked good from scratch was actually pretty hard. They might've overestimated their skills for baking. Even so, everything was going pretty well.

Alexis mixed the ingredients together after combining both the dry and the wet mixture into a big bowl. He felt Charles snaked his arms around his waist and rest his chin on his shoulder. The blonde watched as Alexis mixed the mixture and hummed in content. He pressed a kiss behind Alexis' ear before nibbling the shorter male's earlobes. The nibble earned him an annoyed tongue click before feeling Alexis elbow him in the stomach.

"Stop that, I'm mixing."

"Okay? Then just mix. Let me do my thing."

"You know I get ticklish when you do that to my ear. I don't want to spill the mixture."

Charles raised his brows and stopped nibbling, settling for just a backhug. He knew better than to push Alexis. Boundaries exist to be respected.

When it came to pouring the mixture into little cups, they both stared at each other.

"Charles."

The blonde gulped as he stared at the greased cupcake pan without any cup in them.

"You did buy the cupcake cups, right?"

Charles let out a soft curse under his breath. He had thought of going out to get them from the store earlier that morning but he was just so eager to bid all of his friends goodbye as they left through the door. The second Felix and Leon left, the thought immediately left his mind. Charles let out a long whine as he slowly crouched down to the floor, getting on his knees to make himself look smaller in front of Alexis. It was something he always does when he knows he has done something wrong and was scared that his boyfriend might either sulk or nag. He scooted over to Alexis and hugged his legs while looking up at the brunet with a sad puppy face.

Alexis let out a soft huff when he sees Charles' trying to suck up to him before he scolds him. Alexis can't be mad, it's not going to solve much. The brunet then came up with a solution on the spot, “Get a normal cake pan. Maybe we can just make a cinnamon cake."

"Right away, babe."

Charles stood up immediately, a little too fast and his head hit the bottom of the bowl Alexis was holding. The bowl flew out of Alexis' grip, the contents spilling over Charles' face and splattered on his apron. The shorter male gasped and immediately checked on Charles, "Oh my god! Charles! Are you okay??" He cupped the blonde's cheeks, scrunching his nose at the wet feel of cake mix on Charles' face.

"Fine!" Charles answered and tried to shake the cake mixture off of his face. Alexis turned his head to a side when Charles just shook his head without warning. There were cake mix everywhere in the kitchen now. Alexis let out a soft laugh as he scraped the excess cake mixture off of the taller male's face with his hands.

"Well. Now we don't have anything." Alexis says softly as he tried to wipe more of the cake mixture off his boyfriend's soft cheeks.

"We can redo it."

"We used up the butter."

"Ah shit."

A soft and slow laugh came out of Alexis, making the blonde look at him. The laugh slowly turned louder with every passing second, Alexis bursting into a fit of laughter in just a few moments. The shorter male shook his head before he calmed down a little. "Oh god, I just think it's so funny how I was being so worried I might mess up this date but now that this happened, I think I should've been less tense about it. This is kinda funny."

"Hey, my face is covered in cake mix and you're laughing?"

"Yes. I am." Alexis replied without missing a beat. The blonde giving him a little playful frown in response, getting Alexis to laugh again.

Charles stared at his boyfriend, a smile carved on his face when he sees Alexis' pearly whites, his two bunny teeth at the front making him resemble a hamster so much. Alexis kept scraping off the cake mixture off Charles' face before the taller male leaned forward to steal a kiss. He stood there, a little dumbfounded. Charles smirked, "It's not fair I'm the only who ended up so messy."

"Hey, I'm pretty messy here!" Alexis laughed as he pointed at the mess on his apron. Charles shook his head and wrapped his arms around Alexis. "Nahhh, that's not even the same type of mess, babe."

"Charles. Don't you dare. Cha-" Alexis couldn't even finish his words, he felt Charles wrap his arms around his waist before rubbing his cheeks against his. He let out a disgusted little noise at the wet feel of the cake mixture's texture on his face, unable to flee since his boyfriend had such a strong grip on him. Alexis cackled when Charles smothered his face with more cake mixture, feeling ticklish when Charles' hands keep a firm grip on him. The blonde then paused for a bit, looking at the mess he made on Alexis' face. The brunet looked adorable even when he has cinnamon cake mix on his face, it's honestly infuriatingly adorable.

"Now that's unfair. How come you look cute even when you're a mess?" His words made Alexis cackle again and Charles couldn't help but smile at being able to get him to laugh at his humour. Charles' hands around Alexis' waist tightened as the taller leaned forward, capturing Alexis' lips in a kiss.

Alexis was quick to reciprocate the affection, his hands that were covered with cake mixture softly grazed the taller male's neck. Despite being covered in cake mixture, the two didn't seem to mind it much and kept a good rhythm. Both boys had their eyes closed as Charles leaned forward , pressing against his boyfriend. He was getting pretty needy when Alexis' hands started playing with his hair. Alexis let out a soft hum as he kissed back, matching the pace that his boyfriend had set. His fingers tangled up in his hair, unknowingly smearing the cake mix into his soft blonde locks.

"Getting back at me, I see." He whispered softly, teasing as he parted just a bit from Alexis.

"Is that how you see my affection? I'm a little hurt."

"Then let me kiss your ouchie. Tell me where it hurts." Charles could never be this embarrassing if his friends were in a hundred meter radius from them at the moment. Alexis would tease him more for that embarrassing use of word, but he would really much rather use the remaining time that they had properly. Alexis felt Charles lift him up, putting him on the kitchen counter. The brunet sat on the flat surface, going with the flow. "I guess here is a good start." Alexis answered, tapping his right cheek.

Charles let out a soft scoff before leaning back close, pressing his thin lips on Alexis' right cheek. The smell of cinnamon was strong in his nostrils as he kissed the brunet, he couldn't help but give the bit of mixture on Alexis' cheek a little lick. Alexis laughed at the sensation, pulling his face away to look at Charles. "What are you doing?" He laughed, noticing the blonde licking his lips.

"It's such a waste. It tastes so good."

"Yeah?" Alexis raised his brows. "Mind if I get a taste?"

Alexis' question was responded with a smirk. Charles wouldn't mind it if Alexis licked his cheek. The blonde leaned forward to show Alexis his cheek, awaiting to feel his boyfriend's lips on his skin. Unexpectedly, he feels both warm hands cupping his cheeks and pull his face to make him look at Alexis straight. The brunet pressed his lips on Charles', surprising him for a split second before he reciprocates the action. Eyes closed, hands tightening around Alexis' waist, Charles feels himself melting into his boyfriend's soft and sweet kiss. The blonde tilted his head to deepen the kiss, finding himself needing a little more, getting bolder with each passing moment. Alexis feels his boyfriend trying to take control and pulled away when Charles was just about to part his lips. Alexis hears a soft groan from Charles and let out a chuckle.

"You're right." Alexis softly grazed his thumb over Charles' soft lips, a smile on his face. "It tastes sweet."

"Oh you're such a tease." Charles furrowed his brows before he leaned back in. Alexis had no complaints as he places his hands on his shoulders, he's teased the blonde enough.

Charles' kisses were always fast when he's impatient after being denied or teased, coming in the forms of short pecks on the lips as he tried to build back the momentum he lost. His hands on Alexis' waist finds the apron's strips, playing around with it, debating on pulling them, untying the knot. His focus was mainly on Alexis' plush lips kissing back, trying to keep up with his needy kisses. The blonde then let out a soft satisfied hum when he finds his rhythm, hands finally untying the knot as he slips his tongue into Alexis' inviting mouth. The brunet's front teeth being the first thing he feels when his tongue slips through, Charles can't helo but internally scream at how adorable his boyfriend was. Every part of his boyfriend was adorable and it was giving Charles so much cuteness aggression. Alexis furrowed his brows as he feels the other start exploring, making his hands grip on Charles' shoulders tight. His reactions were just as adorable. Charles really was going to bite his cheeks off after this.

Charles' hands gripped on Alexis' waist as his tongue swirled around in the brunet's, feeling every part of his mouth. Charles slowly tried to slip a finger under the shirt Alexis wore, letting the other feel him first. He wanted to see if Alexis would deny him, and seeing that Alexis had a positive reaction to it, Charles slipped other fingers under, his whole hand coming into contact with Alexis' bare skin. Alexis hummed at the contact, tilting his head to a side to get comfortable.

Charles pulled away after a little while, looking at Alexis' face, scanning his boyfriend for his next target. A hand softly takes Alexis' glasses off of the brunet, putting them aside. As planned, he goes for Alexis' cheeks, eating up the brunet's soft, chubby cheeks. There were still some cake mixture on his face, providing Charles more sweetness. As if the cinnamon cake mixture alone wasn't already sweet, licking them off his boyfriend's cheeks made them taste ten times sweeter. A sweetness that would get people sick from just one bite. Thank god other people wouldn't ever get to taste it. Charles smirked at his own thoughts as his lips left Alexis' cheek with a faint 'pop'.

"Oh.. oh shit." Charles bit his lower lip, looking at the faint bite mark on his boyfriend's cheek. He tried not to smile but seeing the slight panic and confusion on Alexis' face was just too cute not to react.

"What?" Alexis asked, looking at Charles for answers.

"Nothing. Nothing. I promise." He lies, wanting to continue making out but of course his words weren't convincing enough. He felt Alexis push him away for him to get off the counter. Charles bit his lower lip and muttered a curse under his breath. He watched as Alexis looked at his reflection on the microwave's glass door, his eyes widening immediately.

"Charles!

Alexis turned to look at his boyfriend with a little frown. The blonde stuck out his tongue innocently, shrugging. Alexis punched his arm out of frustration and went back to looking at his reflection. "Damn it. I let you have fun for a bit and now you're trying to jeopardize my image. How dare you,"

"Hey, it's not my fault you're so irresistible. I needed to have a bite of my sweet little cupcake." Charles says as he tries to wrap his arms around his boyfriend to apologise. Alexis rolled his eyes and puts his glasses back on. He shook his head at Charles' attempt at an apology before feeling a soft kiss on his neck. He glanced back at the blonde, seeing his pleading blue eyes. The shorter couldn't help a smile on his face, shaking his head. He pushed Charles face away and finally starts to clean up the mess in the kitchen.

"So... No more-"

"No more biting my cheeks."

"Damn it." Charles muttered under his breath before going to help Alexis with cleaning up. Albert should be home pretty soon and they wouldn't want to hear his nagging. Charles picked up the empty bowl and looked at the remaining mixture inside. Curious, he swiped a generous amount with his finger and puts it into his mouth. He smacked his lips a little as he processed the taste, finding them less sweet. A smile slowly carving on his face as he glanced at his boyfriend who was now mopping the floor.

Charles pouted for a bit as he glanced at the clock. One of their friends would be back soon and he was praying it wouldn't be Ciel walking in and seeing the mess they made. He let out a sigh.

No more cheek biting for him.
