Summary
Every ten years a ceremony is held where Valentino, a revered God, chooses someone He will impregnate with a child that will help the townspeople prosper. Alastor is one such Chosen. The only problem is, the Chosen is meant to be a woman, for obvious reasons, and Alastor is not, though he intends to carry out his duty and bear a powerful child. He knows it will be a challenge and meets it head on.
He doesn't expect the bigger challenge to be leaving the God behind once the deed is done.
