10:47 PM. It had been freezing out, almost pitch black outside. Paisley opened the door, Rex following in after her. Worn out, she almost fell back but quickly regained her balance. Almost instantly Rex reached out to catch her, letting out a sigh. “We should get to bed-“
“No..no it’s fine..I’m just..” She cut herself off, thinking of what to say next. “You’re gonna pass out Pais..come on..” Rex gently put his hand on Paisley’s shoulder, holding her close. “Please?”
He looked down at Paisley, who was glaring at him through half-lidded eyes. A quiet sigh came from her, crossing her arms. “Fine.” Rex softly smiled and picked her up bridal style. Paisley didn’t even protest as he started walking up the stairs.
Reaching the bedroom in just a couple of steps, Rex opened the door as he whispered to Paisley. “Okay..we’re here..” She looked up at him, mumbling something incoherent. He sighed and walked over to the bed in the corner. He then lowered her onto the blankets..she grabbed his arm gently, whispering..”Don’t leave..”
“Oh! U-uh..I wasn’t ha-” Paisley pulled him down onto the bed, surprising Rex. “Okay..okay..but you know what that means?” “..Mm?” Paisley wrapped her arms around Rex as he grinned. He started quickly planting kisses onto her face, making her cheeks turn red.. “Ah!..Rex! Stoppp…” “Hehe..fineee…” He kissed her forehead one last time before chuckling a bit.
Paisley then yawned, looking at Rex. “Mm..” Rex changed his position, laying next to her instead. He turned to her “You going to sleep now Pais?” “Come hereee..” She pulled him closer, her arms wrapping around his chest. He smiled softly down at her, his fingers going through her hair. “Night Paisley..” “Mmh..night..” She mumbled, burying her face into his shoulder.
She eventually fell asleep in his arms, snuggling up in them. Rex smiled once again, yawning as he had been starting to get tired too. He closed his eyes, eventually falling asleep too..
