“Well enough,” Colin said, and he meant it. There was something enjoyable about watching one’s friends fawn over women well out of their league. And the dancing was quite entertaining for his own benefit, too.
“You might like this next act,” Fife said with a knowing, mischievous grin. “I’ve seen her before. She’s quite something.”
“This is a high-quality sort of place,” Colin retorted, trying not to roll his eyes. “They’re all quite something.”
The first upbeat notes of “Maneater” by Nelly Furtado began to play over the speakers. “Just watch,” Fife directed, his smile widening.
