    Hunter knows, no matter where the war takes him, no matter the state of the galaxy, he'll always have his teammates by his side. He'll always have Crosshair.

    Until Crosshair joins the Empire.

    In the aftermath of the Rise of the Empire, Hunter and his squad struggle to adapt to the new normal: raising Omega, and living without Crosshair. Hunter struggles more than anyone else. When Crosshair is finally returned to them, Hunter notices that something deeper continues to pull him toward Crosshair, and it's been there for much longer than he originally thought.

    A hope for a better future, together, requires both Hunter and Crosshair to leave their mistakes and their past behind, but will they do it in time to save themselves from the Empire?
