Work Text:
Sensei was in SCHALE, reviewing the report from Gehenna about the multiple “delinquents” coming from the school. He has been reading the report for an hour, it isn’t a long document, it’s just that it came from Makoto so he couldn’t really comprehend as to why such a president would support bad behavior from students.
“I should’ve given this to Hina and Ako instead.” Sensei thought to himself, only realizing about his mistake when it was already too late.
As he was about to go out and eat his lunch, he got a message from MomoTalk, and it was Nagisa who sent him a message saying:
“Good afternoon, Sensei. I would like to invite you to Trinity. Could you come to the tea party at around 1:00PM?”
Sensei looked at his watch and saw that the time was 12:36PM. “I can’t even get a short lunch break, but what if it’s important?”
He immediately left SCHALE and went to Trinity General School.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Thank you for coming here, Sensei.” The Filius representative and the current host of the Tea Party, Nagisa, said.
“Thank you for inviting me as well, Nagisa.” Sensei replied before looking around the large Tea Party room. “Where is Seia?”
Nagisa’s smile changed and looked like she was just doing it to not look bad. “This meeting isn’t exactly an official one, Sensei.”
His tone changed as well, he didn’t want a repeat of the entire Arius fiasco all over again. “What is this really about?”
“It’s mostly casual talk, Sensei.” The Filius representative took a sip of her tea before continuing her talk. “However, may I ask you if you have recently talked with anyone from the Sisterhood? Or the Justice Task Force?”
“Why?” Sensei raised one of his eyebrow.
“Nothing in particular, Sensei.” Nagisa replied before taking another sip. “So you must not know that there are members of the Justice Task Force that are thinking of a coup because they think that Seia and I didn't punish Mika enough.”
Sensei became a lot more serious after hearing the word “coup” but he couldn’t really believe what was really happening. “Do you have any evidences?”
“Word of mouth between members cannot be concrete evidences, Sensei.” Nagisa added. “But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t happening or being part of conversations.”
“You know I can’t take this seriously without evidences, Nagisa.” Sensei said, his tone almost threatening. “Especially after what happened with the Supplementary Lessons Department fiasco.”
The Tea Party host narrowed her eyes as the grip of her tea cup was tightening. “That was a different problem, Sensei.”
“How?” He asked.
Nagisa couldn’t answer instantly, it showed her hesitation to respond because what happened during the days leading to the signing of the Eden Treaty.
“How, Nagisa?”
“It’s because if the Tea Party is removed, then Trinity as we know it will be destroyed!” Nagisa, in a rare showcase of emotion, yelled.
Sensei didn’t want to give this win to Nagisa, however he should at least hear her. “What do you mean by that?”
Nagisa tried to compose herself before replying. “I believe you know the history between Trinity, Gehenna, and Arius, am I correct Sensei?”
“Yes.” He answered. “Why?”
“Well before all that, Trinity didn’t exist as a single school.” Nagisa said. “The many factions and academies had conflicts, devastating and costly in more ways than one. It is so destructive that they finally decided to hold the First Ecunemical Council between Pater, Filius, Sanctus, and the other academies.”
“I should’ve learned about their history more.” Sensei thought to himself. “And here I thought the history between Trinity, Gehenna, and Arius is too much.”
“The council would eventually lead up to the creation of an alliance, the Trinity General School, and the Tea Party was formed to be the group of students responsible to lead the school.” Nagisa added.
Sensei sighed and leaned back towards the railings at the back of his chair. “Thank you for giving me context, Nagisa. But I really cannot see how this connects with your problem.”
Nagisa wanted to continue, but it looked like there was hesitation with her actions, her words. This isn’t the Nagisa that Sensei knew, but to him, maybe this meant that she was growing as a character and a leader.
“I’m willing to keep an eye on you and Trinity as a whole, but until you give me concrete evidence, I can’t do anything else.” Sensei said as he stood up and stretched.
“O- Of course, Sensei.” Nagisa replied. Her usual confident demeanor gone as her eyes watched the white floor of the Tea Party room.
Sensei could sense something was still wrong with Nagisa, so he had to reassure her that he wasn’t mad at her actions from the entire Arius fiasco. “Nagisa, I’m not mad about what happened in the past, we all make mistakes.”
Nagisa watched as Sensei kneeled down in front of her to meet her gaze, which was still very much focused on the floor. “If you give me concrete evidence about these things, I’ll do everything I can to support you.”
Sensei smiled before walking towards the exit of the room. “Thank you for inviting me again, Nagisa.”
