Today was a cold day in hell, as unrealistic as it sounds. No one expected some petty demon that somehow had ice powers to have an outburst and make it snow all over the pride ring like a knockoff Elsa, temporarily putting out every fire. Just for the sudden change, part of you wished Alastor would kill them on his weird radio show yet half of you did miss the cold weather from Earth. But, this was a problem for Lucifer or Charlie to solve if they even bothered—or whoever at this point. Taking a step outside all bundled up in a big coat and seeing people having violent snowball fights instead of gun fights, maybe it wasn't that bad.. You only felt bad for those that happened to be cold-blooded demons. Like Sir Pentious. Your boyfriend who was probably freezing.
It took you a second before you realized it, rushing inside to go find him. The hotel members and staff were either playing outside or staying inside with blankets and hot cocoa that Charlie made for everyone as she was planning something, either about hotel activities for the day. She was definitely happy today. As you walked, you accidentally bumped into something small, an Egg Boi. "Sorry!" You apologized and helped the little guy up, the egg not caring one bit but gently tugging at your hand. "Boss needs you!" He exclaimed and ran away, tripping over something before running again into his boss' and your lover's room. You were already on your way there, but now you were worried. Was he okay? You made a quick stop to your own room, grabbing the blanket from your bed and the few extra smaller ones Charlie kept in the closets, just in case. Then, you decided to stop and get some cocoa for the two of you as well, thanking Charlie before very carefully trying to balance everything, blankets held to your chest as you shakily gripped the mugs.
Walking out and picking up the pace to follow where the egg went, "Pentious?" You called, popping your head into his room. He was curled up in his pajamas and looked pathetic, clearly not enjoying the circumstances as a minion of his brought him a blanket and two more gathered his pillows to get him comfortable. "Ye- Yesss, my dear?" Sir Pentious was shivering, hesitantly sitting up with a smile once he saw you. The hotel didn't have any heating, unfortunately, never exactly needing it since the pride ring was usually already warm a lot of the time. This was probably something to bring up to Charlie and Vaggie once you were able to, getting emergency heaters for anyone who may need them. You frowned at the sight, shutting the door behind you with your foot and making your way to his bed. You let the blankets drop and handed him his cup before putting yours to the side, sitting down bedside him and kissing his forehead as you set aside your coat. His tail shakily wrapped around you to pull you closer, and you started putting the blankets over him once he shivered. "Are you okay?" You asked softly with worry, cupping his face and feeling how his skin was like ice. You knew he wouldn't freeze to death, not like a regular smaller snake might, but it definitely wasn't a nice feeling for him. "Why didn't you get me earlier?"
"I'm okay, beloved, ssssurprisingly this- This isn't the first time something like thisss has happened during my time here in hell," The snake sighed dramatically and put a hand to his forehead, "I just woke up ssso lonely without my darling beside me thiss morning!" He feigned a sniffle and looked at you with puppy dog eyes, getting a giggle out of you as you pulled him closer. "Fuck, I love you." You kissed his cheek, Pentious taking a sip from his cup as he snuggled into your warmth. The eggs joined the two of you into a big pile of cuddles, and you lifted each one at a time to press a kiss to their foreheads, feeling extra affectionate.
"I love you too, my dearest." He kissed your lips and his fangs got in the way as usual, something that was so adorable to you. "I love you more than any machine I could ever make," He then leaned in to whisper in your ear. "And a little more than my Egg Boiz, but don't tell them that," The oblivious critters blinked at him, Pentious laying his head on your chest as you pet his head, feeling him warm up. You kept one hand holding him to you, reaching out to get your own cup and take a sip, both of you setting them back down and shifting to lay down instead. He kept his tail wrapped around you comfortably and held onto you like a teddy bear. "Mm.. Do you mind if I rest a bit longer, dear..?" He asked and yawned quietly.
"Not at all," You pressed a kiss to his chill forehead, Pentious and his Egg Boiz shutting their eyes and quickly drifting off to sleep once more as you hummed a soft lullaby, trying to keep Pentious warmed up as he rested with you and so many blankets. Definitely something to bring up to Charlie later.
