shadow the hedgehog assassinates jfk and then changes his mind and jfk gets assassinated by someone else
shadow scans the dealey plaza, looking for his target. he hides in the bushes, his rifle on hand and fully loaded. this is what maria would want, shadow thinks to himself.
“there he is.” he finally spots john fitzgerald kennedy and his wife driving down in their car with no roof. “you’ve gotta be kidding me, jfk! this is like taking candy from a baby, which is fine by me.”
he aims his gun at jfk. suddenly, he starts getting visions of maria.
don’t do it, shadow…
“agh!” clutching his rifle even tighter, shadow groans as the visions flood his cranium. all he can hear is maria’s voice. he glances back at jfk and all he can think of is her. he looks so happy, just like maria. he sighs and puts down his gun. “i’ve changed my mind… i will spare you, john fitzgerald kennedy.”
just as shadow is about to leave, he hears a gunshot.
“what the hell?” he looks over to where it came from and sees lee harvey oswald sneak away from a few bushes down. shadow looks back to jfk, who is bleeding out in his car.
shadow makes his way back to the space colony ark. he greets maria, who is staring at the television screen.
“shadow, did you hear? jfk was just assassinated! oh, how terrible…” she sulks and watches more of the video footage.
“yeah, that’s bad.” shadow is relieved that he didn’t end up going through with it. it wasn’t what maria wanted after all, and thanks to lee harvey oswald, he knows that.
