Summary
Yosano spent her early life preparing for the day a local wizard would come and choose a new apprentice. It meant leaving her coven, her friends and her mother, but it meant a fresh start, and somewhere she can freely practice what she enjoys, magic.
But as it turns out, this wizard guy isn’t all that great. And even her mother would be a welcome change.
She learns to accept that her worth comes from her magic. That she is only useful so long as she is powerful.
Her kindness, compassion and bravery are insignificant because all she needs to be is strong.
But once she escapes it all, she comes to learn that maybe, just maybe, she’s worth more than her power. That she has no obligation to be anything and that even if she were to be rendered powerless, without magic, she’s still loved.
