Distant murmurs and quiet conversations reach his ear as he regains consciousness. Still disoriented, he slips out a groan that more sounded like a wounded animal than his voice. Luffy tried to open his eyes, blinked several times to adjust his vision, and attempted to sit up from his position lying down on, what felt like, someone’s thighs. The quiet conversations stop as soon as he’s awake.
“Luffy, stop moving. I think you got concussion. You need to lie down” A voice sounds a lot like Chopper comes from his right.
A hoof pushes his body into lying down on someone’s thigh and his vision starts to take the shape of his surroundings. He expected his crew's face shoved in front of him with their signature worried looks, he expected that might be Nami or Chopper's face the most but not this.
“Huh? Sabo?” Now, he’s even more confused. He thought they were on Elbaf with Dorry and Broggy, all of the giants partying to welcome them. He thought he might be knocked out with all of the new alcohol variant from Elbaf that could make you hallucinate. The last time he knew about Sabo was that he was in Marijoa.
“Hi, Lu.” Sabo smiled so fondly, luffy thought he might be dreaming.
“Is this a hallucination? Am I dreaming? I must be” He whispered to himself, but because the room is so silent, it sounds like he said it out loud. Sabo giggled and Luffy feels the arm around him tighten.
“No, you’re not. I don’t understand myself when I’m awake but fortunately, your friends here were already awake before me and filled me in on their short investigation” Sabo elaborated and that’s the cue for Robin to explain.
“Luffy, do you remember something before you knocked out? I only remember I was with Saul in the library and the others spread out in Elbaf. No one can activate their haki when they are awake.”
Huh. He tilted his face, hands on his chin, looking like he's thinking so hard, smoke might come out of his head. He smiled at her. “I don’t. I remember we were partying with the everyone in elbaf, but I don’t remember I got knocked out and then when I woke up, I saw Sabo’s face! Not that I’m complaining or anything!” He answered Robin while pointing his finger at Sabo. Another quiet giggle from Sabo and Luffy relaxed in his brother’s arms.
Robin frowned, “Then this must be more complicated, even with the strongest force we have here, we can’t break these walls and there is a door but we can’t open it at all”
Luffy takes up his surroundings. Sanji is still walking around the walls trying to investigate it more with Usopp trailing him. Zoro is on the other side looking like he tried to find something, anything to give them clues. Nami, Chopper, and Robin are by his side. Franky, Brook, and Jinbe are conversing on the other side near Zoro. He mentally headcounts them, 10.
Luffy tried to activate his conquerer’s haki and to everyone's surprise, it worked.
“Oi Luffy, don’t flaunt your haki like that!” Zoro complained from the other side of the room and when he realised what he said, he looked at Luffy, surprised.
and that’s the cue for everyone to shout.
“Oh my god, finally some progress!” Nami said and suddenly she’s in front of his face, hands on his shoulder. “Luffy, tried your observation, you can always tell there’s something outside of this room, please” Her tone’s desperate. He nodded and out of Sabo’s arms.
He tried to activate his observation haki. It should be simple. It’s the basic, he can already see minutes into the future damn it, this should be a piece of cake! But he can’t feel anything, it feels like outside of this wall, there’s only a void. No humans outside, no buildings, not even trees, forest, or the sea.
He frowned. “I can’t feel anything at all.” He tried his armament haki.
“Sabo won’t mind if I punch him a little right?” His question makes Nami surprised that she let go of her hold on his shoulder but Sabo seems to know what he actually asked.
“Try me, little brother” then Luffy tried to punch him through his fire and it worked.
“I knew you are stronger now but holy shit that’s a punch” Luffy giggled, Nami let out a confused shriek. “Sorry. I tried my armament haki and Sabo made of fire! It works!” He explained to Nami and she was even more confused at that.
“What do you mean Sabo made of fire? Didn’t Ace made of fire?” at that Luffy's body went rigid, eyes wide, clearly didn’t expect her to say that. She just remembered what they talked on the sunny after leaving Whole Cake Island.
“Oh my god I’m sorry, I forgot! Dressrosa!” She frowned, guilt written all over her face. Luffy softens and hugs her to ease her guilt. “It’s okay, you weren’t there, ‘s not your fault Nami!” He smiled so big, her tense posture relaxed eventhough she still feels guilty. “Okay, captain”
They unintentionally made a bunch of cuddle piles while Sabo saw the dynamic of Luffy’s crew in full team for the first time. They are adorable.
“Wait, that doesn’t explain why Sabo is here?” Luffy looked at Sabo, confused why he’s the only person out of his crew in here, trapped with them.
Sabo sighed, he also didn’t have any clue of why he’s here and the wary looks from luffy’s crew for the first time he opened his eyes, the doubt looks, even from Robin and Robin had known him for two years. It's unsettling.
“I also don’t know. The last I remember was that I talked with Dragon-san and Iva-san about Marijoa's situation and then after that, I woke up in here.”
That sentence gets response immediately from Robin.
“Sabo, you’d understand that you can see wary looks from us right?” As if she could read his mind. He frowned. Yes but he doesn't know why. It's not like he did something to upset the Straw Hats personally right? This is his little brother's crew. Robin answered his question next. “That’s because of the recent news after we left Wano.” Nami and Chopper tensed up near him. He gave another confused look at Robin, pleading for another explaination.
“The news about King Cobra’s assassination.” she further explained. Understanding dawn to Sabo's face as he realised what this means.
“Shit, that explained it” He sighed, rubbed his face with one hand, and grabbed Luffy hand in another. He looked at Luffy in the eyes and met with unwavering trust. He softened.
“I won’t ask you to believe me or to believe what the newspaper said, but I will try to explain what happened.” He took a deep breath and noticed all of the Strawhats, which previously spread all over the room, were all taking seats near him.
“If we can’t get anything with the situation we’re in now, might as well listen,” Zoro said while taking a seat beside Sanji, elbowing him in the rib. “You talk smart, Mosshead.” Sanji smirked. They started fighting after that. Sabo now can look at the duo more clearly and he noticed that he didn't see the pretty blond in Dressrosa. Otherwise, he wouldn't miss such a beauty! He shaked his head, now is not the time and place to admire Luffy's crew.
“I believe you because I know you. Robin may be too, but not all of my crew know you and that’s their decision to believe you or not” Luffy answer effectively stop their fight. It shocked his crew because that’s oddly mature of him, and this isn’t just his friend. This is accusation pinned on his big brother. The one he trusted the most.
“Yeah. Vivi-chan is part of the crew. Though she didn’t continue her journey with us, but..” Sanji speak up for the first time. Sabo perked up at the blond trying to talk to him.
“But, she’s still one of us,” Luffy said with finality. Sabo nodded. “That makes sense. King Cobra said to me that you are the one who saved his life”
Luffy raised his eyebrow at that. “Wait, you talked to him?” He curiously asked.
“Yes, though I need to explain from the start.”
Then he started to explain the event that happened in Marijoa.
“Cobra wanted to meet with the Five Elders. He has questions that only they can answer” Even from the start of Sabo’s story. None of the strawhats like where this going. They just met those five monsters not even a week ago.
“I followed him inside the room called throne room, out of curiosity. Hiding my presence well. King Cobra asked something about the Ruler of Alabasta, 800 years ago. He questioned even though Alabasta was one of the founding countries of World Government, It is also the only country that didn’t agree to live with the other founding countries in Marijoa.”
Robin nodded. “Torao-kun filled me in about that information in Wano” and then She frowned. “But if it’s King Cobra, I’m pretty sure, he already knows that.” Sabo agreed.
“That’s true. King Cobra revealed when he was going through the historical documents in his library, he mentioned that the only history one can peruse there comes from documents after the void century and yet, there’s no mention of Queen Lily’s name, the Ruler of Alabasta when the void century happened.”
At the mention of void century, Usopp raised his hands. “If we heard this information, will the World Government kill us on sight?” Nami gasped, “Like when we listen to Shaka about Ohara?”
Sabo sighed. “Well, of course.”
Luffy laughed at that. “That’s a silly question, Usopp” Usopp grunted. Because yeah Luffy is right. They have been a kill-on-sight target since Enies Lobby.
Before Sabo continued, Luffy moved to cuddle against him. These stories are making him sleepy, and Sabo’s voice is so soft. He has always been a good storyteller. Luffy now looks like a kitten wanting to cuddle. Sabo looks at him so fondly and let him cuddle as much as he likes.
“King Cobra revealed that Queen Lily never came back to Alabasta after the void century ended. Which leads us to the question, what happened to her? That’s what King Cobra asked.” He continued. Robin hummed at that.
“But that doesn’t mean that he deserved to get killed, right?” Luffy asked with his sleepy voice. Sabo chuckled, look how cute he is! Just like a sleepy kitten! Even The straw hats coo at that.
“No. Five elders answered him with vague answer. Their point was, She went back to the lower world and what happened with her, they couldn’t have known. But..” At his tone, the Straw Hats tensed, even the cuddly Luffy.
Sabo tightened his arms around his brother and continued, “He asked another question, ‘What is D.?’” And that makes the Straw Hats all surprised.
“Wait, D? Do you mean the letter in Luffy’s name?” Zoro asked, gaze sharp at Sabo. He nodded. “Yes. The family of D, like Luffy’s family. The Monkey D. Family”
“Not only mine, Ace’s too.” He murmured, his tone so sad that Sabo tried to soothe him by kissing his hair. Luffy sighed and tried to hide his face in Sabo’s neck further. As if he wants to hide from everyone's eyes.
“Yes. Ace’s mother was Portgas D. Rouge, and his father was Gol D. Roger. ”
Sanji frowned, “Wait, wasn’t it Gold Roger?” Robin shaked her head at that. “Dr. Vegapunk in his last broadcast said about the Pirate King’s name and he’s in the family of D. It’s Gol D. Roger. And my giant friend is also in the family of D. Jaguar D. Saul.”
Sabo took notes of that. He knew the importance of D. Clan, he would report this to Dragon. A giant from family of D. That’s unheard of.
“And also several other names. ‘Blackbeard’ Marshall D. Teach and if you knew Great Pirate before Roger, Rocks D. Xebec, he was Kaido, Big Mom and Whitebeard’s Captain”
Usopp who already wrote the information he got from Sabo in his journal stops at that and he looks at Sabo like he has grown seven heads. “They were in the same ship before being an Emperor?” Sabo nodded. “Yes, Gramps and Roger were the ones who defeated them from What Dragon-san said”
Chopper gasped at that. “Your Grandpa is insane!” Chopper cried out to the Duo. Luffy shivered at that. Yep, insane is the right term to describe the old man.
“Torao-kun is a member of D. family, too,” Robin added. Sabo frowned, who is this Torao, and why it seems like he’s close with Luffy’s crew? An ally? Member of the fleet?
“Who?”
Luffy perked up at that and for the first time, he came out of his hiding place that is Sabo’s neck. “Robin, what do you mean?” At that, Robin is the one confused.
“Luffy, you dated Torao-kun, he never told you his real name?” She pointed out.
Sabo snapped at that question. Eyes-wide. “Whoa, hold on. What do you mean this Torao dated Luffy?” Sabo gripped his brother's shoulder and tried to look at him, only for Luffy to avoid his gaze and act like he didn’t hear Robin’s question. He can’t believe it. This is his little brother! The crybaby he and Ace always protect! “Luffy! You are still a baby!” He cried.
Luffy scowled at that. “What do you mean baby? I’m 19! I can date!” His angry pout is prominent on his face.
“Who!” Sabo now asked the whole crew, and most of them tried to avoid his gaze and be the end of Luffy’s wrath. Suddenly the Marijoa Incident explanation came to a halt.
“Torao!!” Luffy unhelpfully said. Sabo sighed and felt so annoyed. That’s giving him nothing!
“It’s Trafalgar Law” Blessed Jinbe and his patience.
“Traf- The Surgeon of Death? The Supernova? The Ex-warlord? The one you wanted to save in Dressrosa?” Now, It’s Sabo’s time to scream. Luffy excitedly nodded at every one of his questions, all bright smiles, sunshines and rainbows while Sabo is having a mental breakdown.
“Luffy! For fuck sake, can you pick someone better? If you want pirate captains, can’t you do Boa Hancock? Or see, your cook is pretty! He’s clearly a better choice than Trafalgar!” Luffy pouted. Sanji, who didn’t expect the compliment from Sabo, was shocked and couldn’t do anything more than splutter some confused words, red in the face. While Zoro snickered at that. “Shut up mosshead!” He sulked.
Jinbe chuckled. “Boa is already crazy about him” Sabo shocked at his statement. He was just giving an example and not actually mean that. “What-”
Luffy interrupted them quickly. “I only want Torao! Hancock is my friend, and I owe her so much but it's weird! Also, Sanji is pretty! But he is my cook. I can’t have him as my boyfriend. Torao would be mad!” Sanji lighted up his cigarette and sighed. Well, he also didn't want to compete with a jealous Trafalgar. He had enough of that in Wano.
Sabo groaned at his stubborn little brother, he needed to talk to Luffy about his dating choices but they needed to get back on track about Marijoa Incident.
“We will talk about this later, Lu” He will not let him go with this topic. Luffy huffed and all of a sudden, he moved to Sanji and tried to cuddle with him. The blond seemed to be surprised by his captain antics, but then relaxed when Luffy slotted himself like a Koala. Sabo glared at his brother, feeling betrayed.
“I know I said your cook is pretty, but you can’t cuddle with him. Cuddle with me!”
Nami and Chopper giggled at that. Robin looks so fondly at Sabo's interaction with her crew. She knew he fit right in, but to see this, warms her heart.
“Sabo’s mean. I don’t want to talk to him” Luffy pouted while rubbing his head to Sanji’s neck. Sabo looked so betrayed, he open and close his mouth because he doesn’t know how to reply to that. Sanji offered him a sympathetic smile. He sighed.
“Okay. We need to get back on track. So, for Trafalgar is..?” Robin smiled. “I can’t tell you myself. It’s his choice to keep it secret. I only mentioned it because I genuinely thought Luffy knew about his true and secret name. Guess they just don’t bother with formalities.”
“Yes! I don’t care about Torao’s name. I like Torao just the way he is” Luffy frowned and nodded as if to confirm that is the final decision about his feelings toward his Torao. Sanji chuckled and started stroking his hair. “Aye Captain.”
Sabo then continued, “Five Elders didn’t like what they heard. But King Cobra revealed from 800 years ago, there is a brief letter that she passed down through their line of kings, and then something unbelievable happened before he got an answer”
He explained while trying to keep his voice as stable as possible. He’s not the kind of person who gets scared easily, but this entity called Imu just feels so wrong to him. “In that throne room, there is one empty seat with swords around it which symbolizes the World Government founding countries are all standing as equal and there’s no one above them. It is called the Empty Throne. No one must sit on that, The purpose of it is being empty, But..”
“You found that there is someone sitting on that throne?” Franky, for the first time in a while, continued for him. He nodded. “Bingo”
“He was supposed to meet only with the Five Elders, though, for some reason, this entity appeared. Even the five elders seemed to be surprised, they even warned them that Cobra was still present. Which means, that no one is supposed to know about this entity. They called them Imu and this Imu mentioned Queen Lily’s name.”
Understanding dawn into the Straw Hats face. They really don’t like where this story is going and it means an even bigger threat painted on Vivi’s back.
“So you knew what that implication means right?” Sabo said and the heartbroken faces they made. It pains him. He knew they met Cobra and respected the King.
“King Cobra’s fate already met when he saw that entity in the throne room,” Jinbe said it out loud. The Straw Hats shivered at that. Sabo nodded, and confirmed it further.
“I tried my best to save him but I was alone, and the Five Elders are the highest authority in the World Government, not to mention they are kneeling in front of Imu.”
“So, you implied that this Imu is even in a higher hierarchy than those old men?” Zoro asked. He knew exactly how terrifying the haki these monsters had in Egghead. If this Imu is even higher than those monsters, just what is the World Government, and who are they?
“Definitely. King Cobra seemed sick at that time, he kept coughing and he was in a wheelchair. So, with that condition, combined with his old age and he has been attacked by these monsters. It’s an impossible mission.” He hears sniffles coming from the Reindeer, Chopper.
“Imu said there are two things they wished to say and wanted to ask something to Cobra. This also gave me information that Cobra ever heard of name Imu. He interrupted them by saying that It must be a coincidence, I didn’t know what that meant but Imu interrupted him and screamed to stop him. Later, when I talked to Iva-san and Dragon-san about this, Iva-san mentioned that there was once a country named Imu in the 100 void-year. Cobra must've noticed that when heard the name. So, this confirmed it.”
Robin is intrigued by that. “Imu is one of the 20 countries you said? Wow, Sabo. You really heard some top secret.!”
"That's my big brother" Luffy practically vibrating with excitement in Sanji's lap. Sabo grinned, proud. “Yeah, in a way I’m lucky about this information.” Then he becomes serious. “Imu explained that The family of D is the name of those who once opposed them, the World Government. However, the development of curiosity about the Family of D., relates to Queen Lily’s Great Mistake 800 years ago.”
Robin, Nami, and Usopp took interest at that. “We’re truly going to die if they know we’re listening to this but alas, I will record it in my journal!” Even with determination, Usopp’s hands are still shaking. Luffy giggled at that. “Don’t worry Usopp! I will protect you!
“Please do!”
“Imu mentioned the scholars who are curious about the history and researching the poneglyph and its contents.” Robin shivered, hands shaking. Franky moved a little bit closer to her and made her lean on him. “They also mentioned about the pirates who had been searching poneglyph for treasure.” Sabo gaze moved to Luffy. Luffy now sits calmly on Sanji’s lap, face frowning.
“They implied that it is Queen Lily’s fault that the poneglyph have been scattered across the world.” Nami gasped at that. “Wait, so it’s not a coincidence that before this mistake, Alabasta was supposedly one of the 20 founding countries, but after this incident, they were kicked out? And Queen Lily may have been killed?”
Sabo looks uncertain. “I’m not sure, they never confirmed it. But Imu also asked was Queen Lily’s doing was a simple mistake or if was it planned? To avoid the poneglyph which has the true history record of not being in the hands of the World Government, she scattered it across the whole world? The answer to that question must be in the letter that Cobra mentioned before..”
“..and then Imu demanded the real name of the sender.”
Several Straw Hats held their breath. “What do you mean the real name? Queen Lily isn’t her actual name?” Nami quietly asked.
Sabo then continued. “At that moment, King Cobra knew his fate was sealed, he would never leave the throne room alive even if he lied, and one of the five elders also confirmed it since he knew the existence of Imu” Sabo chewed his lips and tried to tangle his hands together because this event isn’t something that he can easily re-tell.
“and Queen’s Lily true name was.. Nefertari D. Lily”
The Straw Hats gasped at that. Because of all these things, they didn’t expect that one of the founding countries of the World Government was from Family of D. Their sworn enemies.
“So, Vivi’s name is supposed to be..”
“Yes, Nefertari D. Vivi” All of them were stunned at that.
“When we get out of here, we need to put a hold on our adventures and start to search for Vivi for real. This is getting dangerous” Luffy said with finality. Sanji nodded and tried to tighten his arms around his captain.
“Yeah. With how much Sabo explained about how World Government has so much hatred around the family of D, Vivi-chan being the direct heir from King Cobra will make her their main target” Sabo nodded and continued “Actually luffy, here’s the event where this includes you.” Luffy frowned. “Huh? Me? What did I do? I swear I didn’t do anything. At least not that I know of” Sabo amused at his response.
“After King Cobra said Queen Lily’s true name. I think, Imu just confirmed that somehow Queen Lily’s doing was intentional. He got attacked by Imu. I didn’t expect that, so I immediately blew my cover and tried to save him, but the attack already pierced through his body.”
Zoro tightens his hold around his swords, cursing.
“When I tried to protect King Cobra, that’s when the snail got pictured of me and that’s why the newspaper made it as if I assassinated King Cobra. They would pin this on me rather than saying it's an accident in the throne room.”
Understanding dawn into the Straw Hats faces and the sigh of relief they let out. “Makes sense” Nami murmured, she sat cross-leg with Chopper in her lap, and nodded.
“This might be difficult to believe but I don’t know if it’s devil fruit, which likely is, but the Five Elder stars transformed into some kind of diabolical monsters. A skeletal horse, a boar, a giant bird, a sandworm, and-”
“a giant bull-spider” Luffy finished Sabo's explaination. Sabo looks shocked at Luffy’s sentences.
“Wait, how do you know?”
“Sabo-bro, we just fight all of those five monsters in Egghead”
Wide-eyed, he gasped at that. “What- What do you mean you fight them in Egghead? I only saw them because I was in Marijoa, why would they come down? These people never come down, that's why we tried to declare war against them in the first place”
Robin interrupted. “We will explain it to you once you are done explaining the Marijoa Incident. Just so you know, that out of all the people in the world who read the news, we know you aren’t lying, Sabo.”
Nami nodded. “True. We’ve been fighting closely with those five monsters. We knew the bull-spider was one of the Five Elders but we didn’t know the other four were. This even explained our situation in Egghead more. We know you’re telling the truth.”
Sabo sighed, feel relief too that Luffy's crew believed him. He didn't want to be in the bad side of his little brother crew. “Okay. It seemed King Cobra immediately recognized me as Revolutionary and Luffy’s brother. So I asked him how did he know Luffy? He explained that you and your crew saved his life and I believed him because that’s so you, Lu.” Sabo said, looking fondly at his little brother.
Luffy grinned so wide and bright at that. “He’s Vivi's father, of course, I will help him!”
“Yes and then he asked me to leave him be and needed me to escape on my own. But I wasn’t giving in to that. I wanted to save him.” His voice sounded a lot like anger and regret. “He said that he needed me to not die there. He needed me to deliver this message to you and Princess Vivi at any cost”
Luffy sits straight at that. Out of Sanji’s hold, the Straw Hats become more tense.
“What do you mean? A message to me?” Sabo nodded.
“This is his message, ‘Tell them that we also bear the D. The Poneglyph.. must be protected... Bear the flag of the Dawn Against the ... World, Nefertari D. Lily’”
“I just had goosebumps.” Brook said. “not that I have skin to begin with. Yoho”
“He said he’s counting on me to tell you. I’m glad even with an uncertain situation like this. Whoever brought us together in here, I delivered his last message to you. I also hope we can find Princess Vivi before it's too late.” Sabo sighed remembering Cobra put himself between him and the five elders for him to escape.
“King Cobra put himself between me and the Five Elders. He let me escape. I intend to go find Princess Vivi after I give my report to Dragon-san. I will deliver his message to his daughter, no matter what.”
Luffy quieted at that. His gaze was shielded by his hat. “We will find Vivi after this and you will come with us, Sabo.” His words have finality in them. Sabo smiled and nodded. He will not refuse his brother's offer. He will be set sail on his own anyway, if his brother is also after the same thing as him, why not. He missed being with Luffy his whole life and he will make up for it now. “It will be a great help and also, The World Government thinks I’m dead.”
Luffy whipped his head so fast towards Sabo. “What do you mean dead?”
“They destroyed an entire island named Lulusia because they found my call transmission from there, but I was in a ship that just left Lulusia Kingdom.” Sabo frowned at that. “I don’t think It’s natural. Like some kind of Weapon from the sky and in one second, the island is just gone. The people who are saved from Lulusia was the Revolutionary recruits, they are on the Ship with me. The whole island is just gone and people there are dead. That’s how much they wanted to keep Imu’s existence a secret”
Franky tightened his arms around Robin who shivered at that, reminding her about Ohara. “That must be the last Ancient Weapon” Franky added.
“That was so scary. Oh my god, Sabo. How are you alive?” Nami whispered. Sabo grinned at her. “Because of my devil's luck, Ace’s fruit, and my super spy skill.”
“That’s not funny! Do you have injuries? It must be only a few days right? Let me check you, I’m a doctor!” Chopper hopped off Nami’s lap and began frantically searching for Sabo’s injuries.
He laughed at the little cute reindeer. “Nope. I’m all healed. The recruits treated me right away on the ship and I also got treated in our base. So I’m all right now” He ruffled the soft fur. Chopper relieved and nodded.
“So, that’s the story. I guess because we fought the same monsters, you believe my story?”
“Well, hard not to. Not even a week ago I saw that Skeleton Horse monster tried to charge at our ship before Atlas saved us. I still have nightmares about that” Nami sniffed.
“Sabo” Luffy called him, voice low and serious. Sabo was surprised at that, he never knew Luffy could be so serious, it’s unsettling. “Please don’t fight them. I knew you said you wanted to take them down in Marijoa, but please don’t before you knew their weakness.” Sabo raised his eyebrow at that. He knew Luffy has trauma about losing Ace but this is just unlike his brother to not let him fight at all.
“Lu, I know you are worried about me but I-”
“What Luffy meant is It’s impossible to fight them as they are immortals, Sabo” Sanji explained. Luffy nodded at that. “I know you are strong. You are my dad’s right-hand man! I know.”

“Your form? Luffy, your fruit is paramythia and not Zoan. You shouldn’t have any form”
Sanji briefly explained. “We thought so. Even Luffy thought so. In short, Vegapunk explained there’s no record of the Gum-gum fruit in the old encyclopedia. So, luffy's fruit might not be paramythia for all we know. It's been erased.” Eyes squinted and shaking his head, Sabo looked at Robin to demand more explaination.
“Just like what Sanji explained. Vegapunk said that there’s no record of Gum-Gum fruit in history. Luffy’s awakening form is the resemblance of an ancient God, which some tribes, Including the Giants, prayed to. The Sun God.”
Sabo whipped his head so fast to look at his little brother who, for some reason, showed how annoyed he is with that Information. “What.”
Luffy shrugged, while picking his nose. “Why people always said that to me? First Bonney! and all of the Giants too! I’m so confused. I’m Luffy!!”
Sabo scowled at that, agreeing with him. “He’s Luffy! My little brother! He’s not some god?”
Usopp suddenly tensed, his eyes wide and he spoke so fast that it was alarming to them.
“There will be a woman's voice that confirms, he is The Sun God.” He said. Taken aback even for him because he just did his future sight. That means he can activate his observation haki all of a sudden. Out of nowhere.
Well, Sabo of the Revolutionary. Unfortunately, He is.
Woman’s sound echoes around the room, and all of them tense.
Luffy, Sanji, and Jimbe are in fighting stance, Zoro and Brook have already unsheathed their swords, and Sabo pulls up his pipe and coats it with fire. Nami with her Clima Tact and Zeus already on standby. Usopp already pulled Kabuto’s trigger. Robin with her giant clone. Franky is ready to fire and Chopper is already on Kung-Fu point.
“Usopp, your haki-” Zoro said and Usopp nodded. “Yeah, It came to me suddenly. You can try yours too” Zoro tried to cover his swords with his haki and it worked. So, it is true, they have been controlled by something inside this room.
As expected of the Emperor’s crew.
Sabo was distracted by that. “Emperor?” He mumbled.
Big brother, you must have been too busy to keep up with your little brother's news. Aren’t you?
“Who the fuck are you? Where are we?” Luffy yelled.
Emperor of the Sea, Straw Hat Luffy. I’ve been wanting to see you since you awakened your fruit. Unfortunately, you have to meet those imbeciles at Egghead Island. So we have to delay it even further.
“You are an emperor?” Sabo asked. Voice high, shocked written all over his face. “Sabo, not the time!” Nami screamed.
“What do you want from me? Get us out!” Luffy yelled again. Zoro squinted his eyes, and tried to find where the voice came from but he couldn’t see anything, even a possible den-den mushi.
Now, can we be a little friendly here? I’m not hurting you and your crew. I even brought your big brother here, Nika.
“Nika?!” Sabo screeched even more. He just remembered that. Nika! That’s exactly the name. God of the Sun whom Kuma always loved to tell him about during his time in the Revolutionary.
“Shut up! I’m Monkey D. Luffy! Not Nika. Why do you people always call me that? First Bonney, then the Giant Old Man, and the whole Elbaf! I’ve been called different names these past days and no one listens to me when I said I’m Luffy!” He sulked, foot stomping.
“Luffy stop sulking!”
He pouted and crossed his hands. “Stop calling me different names. The giant robot in Egghead Island was also called me by a different name. I’m Luffy!! Not Nika and Not Joyboy!”
At that, every head in the room whipped to stare at him. “What!” He sulked even more. Robin looked even more surprised at that, though she had her own suspicions after Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast, she just never entertained that idea. She fondly chucked at her captain.
“Nothing, captain.”
Luffy pouted at that. Even his crew confused him. “Hmph!”
Wow, you are actually a child. How are you an emperor?
“Stop insulting me and come fight me, coward!”
The voice amused, and they can hear woman’s giggle on the other side.
Oh, I’m sure I will lose miserably, Nika.
“I’m Luffy!!!!!!”
“Luffy, just let her be. We just need to know how to get out of here.” Zoro interrupt him. Luffy pouted at that. Sabo snickered, he likes his little brother crew. They understood the assignment.

Nami groaned. “Surely, it’s already rude to kidnapped us to god knows where.” She mumbled.
