I x V: Mother of Cyborgkind

Summary:

Motherhood was something V never expected, but like so many other unexpected things in her life, it happened. But as she brings new life into the world, time goes on and it waits for no-one…

I X V: Mother of Cyborgkind

“V. You’re pregnant.”

Silence deafened the room after that statement by Recovery Girl, Izuku and V too stunned to say anything. Power Loader was about to ask Izuku if he was okay when the father-to-be’s eyes rolled back and he slowly tipped backwards, the teacher barely catching Izuku as he fainted.

Power Loader gently laid Izuku on the floor as Recovery Girl moved to check on him. “Poor boy just fainted.” She said. “The news must have been a big shock to him.”

“I’m just surprised V hasn’t moved.” Power Loader said as he looked over to see V in the exact same position she had been when Recovery Girl has broken the news. As if prompted by the comment, V began leaning to the side before toppling over, clanging to the ground without even the slightest change in position.

Power Loader gave an exhausted sigh as he got back up. “I’ll go get J.”

“Of all the stupid, idiotic things you could have done!” J ranted at V once the latter had recovered from her impromptu system crash. “You find out Izuku had a quirk when you decided to let him dry hump you and in doing so, find out he has a quirk that lets him shove his… thing inside you and instead of being careful, you decide to go all in.”

V was sat down as J walked back and forward ranting at her, the pregnant robot opting to stay quiet until J had finished. “And at no point did either of you consider that Izuku’s robot fucker quirk might let him do other things like, oh I don’t know, GET YOU PREGNANT?! What in JC Jenson’s name were to two thinking?!”

“Well, I’m sorry that I wanted to make Izuku happy.” V snapped back. “I’m sorry that he caused me to feel things I’ve never felt before and I’m sorry I never asked for your approval over what I do with my boyfriend!” J and V stared down each other for a moment, looking like they were about to tear each other apart.

And then J relented.

“You’ll be great parents.” The disassembly drone said with a smile on her face, catching V off guard before J turned away and spread her wings. “You know N’s going to be over the moon for you right?” J flew off before V could respond, V simply smirking as she imagined her friend’s reaction.

As it turned out, while N had been ecstatic about the news, even begging V if he could be the baby’s uncle, he was not the one who would be most excited.

“OH MY GOODNESS, YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE A BABY!” Tessa James Elliot squealed as the human-turned-disassembly-drone swung V around, the latter’s torso noticeably wider than it normally was around the waist as a result of V’s nanites modifying her in order to accommodate her precious cargo. “Oh my gosh, you have to tell me how it happened. I’d have never thought it was possible. Is the baby a boy or girl? Do you know yet? I should get something for-.”

“Can you calm down and breathe, please?” V asked the woman who had rescued her from the scrap heap. “Doc’s told me I can’t overexert myself.”

“Oh right. Sorry.” Tessa said as she put V down, the two noticing that the former human was actually taller than V. “Also, don’t need to breathe anymore.”

“Riiiight.” V said as she rolled her eyes before turning solemn. “I honestly thought you were dead… I missed you.”

Tessa then pulled V into a hug, careful not to press against V’s torso. “I missed you too.” Tessa said. As the two held each other, they heard a single person approaching.

“Hey V, uh, and Miss Elliot.” Izuku said as he waved softly, the two parting to let Tessa get a good look at the father-to-be.

“So you’re the lucky one, eh?” Tessa said. “I’m not sure who scored more between the two of you.” Tessa then gently punched Izuku on the arm before giving a slight laugh. “Oh, and please, call me Tessa. ‘Miss,’ or ‘Mrs’ Elliot was the biggest bitch this side of Cyn.”

“Not wrong there.” V said before looking at Izuku. “What’s up?”

“Remember All for One?” Izuku asked, sending a chill down both V and Tessa’s spines, the latter having been told just who had been responsible for All for One’s death. “His closest confidant, Doctor Garaki’s been found.”

V flexed a hand before looking at her stomach, aware she was in no state to track down and kill the man herself. “What’s the plan?”

“There isn’t one. He’s dead.” Izuku said to V’s surprise. “The WHA sent a team after confirming his location but when they arrived, they found that he’d drowned after falling over and getting his head stuck in a toilet bowl.”

There was silence for a moment before both V and Tessa began to laugh. “I’m sorry, but that’s hilarious. I know All for One was the most dangerous man on the planet and the last part of his legacy dies in a freaking toilet…” Tessa then started laughing again, not helped by the vestiges within One for All laughing as well.

Izuku himself began laughing before V stopped abruptly, her laughter cutting off so suddenly drawing the two’s attention. “Are you okay?” Izuku quickly asked. “What’s wrong? Is there something I can do?”

“I just felt the baby kick.”

V’s statement silenced Izuku before he looked at V’s face, a blush on her visor. “I felt the baby kick.” She repeated before Tessa squealed, Izuku embracing his girlfriend who wrapped her own arms around him. Right now, nothing could ruin this moment.

It had been a couple of months since Tessa’s arrival and the hero students of U.A were finally able to go on their first trip since the war. There had been some concern for V given she was due, but with so many people on hand ready to help, including several teachers, V was in good hands as 1-A and 1-B travelled to Nabu Island.

It had been a largely uneventful trip, largely due to the fact that just a couple of weeks ago, a WHA team led by Hawks tracked down the villain known as Nine, who had been planning to attack the island.

The villain, believed to have some sort of association with the now-dead All for One, had been in hiding since the war had ended. The resulting battle had been short and what followers he had were quickly subdued with no sign of Nine himself. It was believed that he had fled and left his men behind to cover his escape.

Then a search of Nine’s hideout found him. Dead. The man had been in the restroom when the attack started and in his haste, Nine had tripped and got his head stuck in the toilet, drowning before he could free himself.

Because of this, the whole trip to Nabu was largely uneventful. Right up until V started ticking.

“V. You’re ticking.” N said from next to her, the first to notice as J, Momo and Kyoka approached in concern. Looking round, V tapped the side of her head as Izuku went up to her with concern.

“I guess I am.” V said in confusion, right before a loud ‘PING’ rung from her and the eyes on her visor were replaced with a single message.

BIRTHING SEQUENCE ENGAGED

“The baby’s ready.” N said before realising just what he had said. “THE BABY’S READY! THE BABY’S READY! SOMEONE CALL FOR HELP! GET SOME-!”

N’s head did a full 360-spin, twice, as J struck him, Izuku and Momo already helping V to lay on her back. “Pull it together, idiot!” The pigtailed drone snapped.

“Thanks J.” N said before he rushed to V’s side, Izuku’s eyes catching sight of a problem.

“There’s nothing here.” Izuku said with slight concern.

“Pervert.” V said with complete calmness. “Fancy looking there at a time like-.” Then she realised what Izuku meant. “Wait, how do I give birth?” J then deployed one of her blades, causing V’s eyes to wide. “Oh no, you are not risking slicing my child apart!”

“Hey V?” Kyoka spoke up from next to her. “Was that seam in your casing always there?” Everyone present looked at V where her torso had been modified by her nanites to safely contain her child, Izuku moving her clothing up to fully expose a faint seam that most certainly had not been there before. Slowly, V moved a hand to the edge of the seam and once she made contact, there was an audible ‘click’ and the part of her casing surrounded by the seam raised just high enough for her to grab the edge and pull what was now a detached panel clear from her.

Exposing underneath a transparent sack and the precious cargo within. Carefully, Izuku reached in, and the sack easily parted, allowing him to place his hands around his daughter and with absolute care, remove her from her mother’s womb. The child gave a slight cough before breathing normally, Momo already using her quirk to make a blanket for the newborn baby. “She’s a girl.” Izuku said with tears in his eyes. “Our girl V, she’s our girl, our baby.”

Even as she reattached the panel to herself, V was already getting up to look at her baby. The two new parents too caught up in the moment to acknowledge Momo contacting the teachers.

“You know.” Kyoka said as she looked at the happy parents and their child. “I can’t help but wonder just how many mothers will be jealous of V when this gets out.” J looked at the human for a moment before she remembered just how humans gave birth and shuddered.

“My guess is: a lot.”

“Strange.” Inko Midoriya said as she sat at a café with one of her oldest friends. “I’ve just been overcome with a sense of joy and murderous envy.”

“I felt it too.” Mitsuki Bakugou said as she stared at the cake in front of her. “Weird.”

V and Izuku sat nervously in Nabu Island’s medical facility as Recovery Girl and a number of doctors she had called carefully examined their newborn daughter, both flinching more than once as V had to restrain herself from overreacting to the doctor’s examinations. After a few more minutes, the doctors finished their work, and V immediately scooped her child up. “Well I suppose congratulations are in order.” Recovery Girl said as she sat down in a nearby chair. “Your daughter is an entirely new species.”

“I’m sorry, did I hear you right?” V said with a serious tone, slightly undercut by the drone looking at her daughter a second later and cooing over her.

Recovery Girl gave a sigh before speaking. “Your daughter’s biology, even in this age, is like nothing seen before. Her skin isn’t of the same kind of flesh typically found on a human, it’s more like an organic version of the material that forms your casing. She also appears to be developing wings and you can see that her hair isn’t like Izuku’s.” Recovery Girl gestured to the child’s head, silver-grey hair covering her scalp. “And given the origins of your hair V, that’s something I can’t explain. What me and the doctors can say is that your child is ‘bio-synthetic’ and is unlike anyone before her. So I say again. Congratulations V, Izuku. The two of you are parents to an entirely new species.”

V and Izuku looked at their daughter, the child asleep in her mother’s arms. “Do you have a name for her?” Recovery Girl asked. V looked towards the medic, a proud smile on her face.

“Taylor.” V said. “Her name is Taylor.”

Tessa James Elliot held the newborn child, positively beaming as she sat next to the new parents, the rest of 1-A gathered nearby. “She’s beautiful.” Tessa said as she handed back Taylor to Izuku. “I’m so happy for you two.”

“Yeah. And for the next few years you’ll have to wake up every night, change diapers every few hours at best, put up with constant screaming…” Uzi said rolling her eyes before smiling. “And yet I doubt you’ll ever regret doing any of that.”

“Not for a second.” Izuku said as the varying members of 1-A took care as they saw Taylor Midoriya for the first time.

“Got to admit, she’s adorable.” The shortest member of the class said, everyone else holding their breath for a long moment before said class member spoke again. “What? Did you all think I was going to say something perverted? I’m trying to grow past that and be a better person thank you very much.”

J’s response was immediate. “So, the fact that V threatened to castrate you had nothing to do with it?” From where she was sat, V extended one of her claw hands, a vicious smile on her face as Minoru Mineta audibly gulped at the sight.

“That… may have been a factor, yes.”

There were a few chuckles from some of the gathered students before Recovery Girl ushered everyone away, leaving V and Izuku with their child. “Any regrets?” V asked the father of her daughter.

Izuku looked into the eyes of the mother of his daughter with a proud smile. “None whatsoever.”

“Congratulations!”

Everyone in 1-A cheered, or rather, everyone in the soon-to-be 2-A. The class had finally broken up at the end of the school year and had come together for a small celebration.

“It’s strange.” Momo said. “After everything that’s happened, going up a year in our education seems so… normal.”

“Yeah, tell me about it.” Rikido Sato mused as he held a cup of orange juice. “After the USJ, summer camp and the war, it’s hard to believe that next year’s going to be so normal in comparison.”

“Don’t be so sure about that.” Uzi called out, cup of oil in her own hand. “We’re still here after all.”

“Not all of us.” Jiro Kyoka said silently before rising her cup. “To Kaminari.”

Mina Ashido raised her own cup. “To Kirishima.”

Minoru Mineta raised his cup. “To Sero.”

Toru Hagakure raised her cup. “To Ojiro.”

And lastly, Izuku raised his cup. “To our friends.”

Silently, the gathered classmates downed their drinks before N spoke up. “Who’s up for changing the subject? I vote for playing Rummy!”

A number of the students couldn’t help but laugh at that before Momo created half a dozen packs of cards for them to use and as the students all got seated ready, V found herself looking at Izuku as the two sat down, side by side.

“Something wrong?” Izuku asked. “You think we should call Mom and see if Taylor’s okay?”

“Nah.” V said. “Her and Tessa were ecstatic to look after Taylor for us tonight. I just wanted to get a good look at my man.” This got a few chuckles out of the gathered students before V turned to look at her cards but the game was not what her mind was focused on.

Izuku had always been shorter than V, not by much, but enough that when the two stood near one another, Izuku would have to look up to make eye contact. Now, Izuku had grown so V had to look up at him and she had heard the slight disappointment in his voice when he’d made that discovery. There was also the fact that V’s body had been altered by her nanites when she had been pregnant with Taylor and while they had reverted her body back to its previous state afterwards, V had no doubt that her body would need altering again if she ever wanted another child.

With silent resolve, V made a decision. ‘I think it’s time for a change.’

It was now just over a week before the new school year started and Izuku found himself being called down to Drone Maintenance. Upon arriving, his curiosity as to why he had been called became concern when he saw Tessa waiting for him. “What’s wrong?” Izuku asked.

“Nothing!” Tessa said a little too quickly. “We just, actually V wanted you down here before anyone else could spoil the surprise.”

“What surprise?” Izuku asked. “Is something wrong?”

“Nooooot wrong per se.” Tessa said as she glanced to the side. “But you do remember how V’s body was altered after you got her… you know?”

“Yeah, I remember.”

“Ah, good. Well, V had a thought and decided that she wanted to be better prepared for the future, just in case.” Tessa said. “Among other things.”

Izuku was silent for a moment before responding. “What? What do you mean?”

“Oh for crying out loud.” V’s voice cried out from behind the doorway. “Just let me show him!” V then pushed Tessa out of the way and Izuku’s eyes widened at the sight.

V had changed. Her hair had been extended, now reaching down behind her to the base of her spine. Her hips appeared thinner, but that wasn’t the case as her waist itself was thicker, giving the impression that her hips were thinner when that wasn’t the case.

Finally, as V walked towards the father of her child, Izuku saw that she was taller. He had noticed that, while V had been taller than him before, towards the end of the school year, his natural grown had caused Izuku to become slightly, but still noticeably, taller than V was. Now V was about two to three inches taller than Izuku was and roughly an inch taller than Tessa.

“Surprised?” V asked as she wrapped her arms around her man, a smirk on her face as she looked down into Izuku’s eyes.

“Er….. yeah.” Izuku said once his brain finished rebooting.

“Yeah. Had a long thought about this.” V said as she swished her now-long hair behind her. “Given the changes that happened to me when I had Taylor, I thought I had best mod myself to be better prepared if we decide to have more children.”

V then smirked mischievously. “Plus, I know you liked it when I was taller than you.”

Izuku could only stammer in response, much to V’s amusement as Tessa rolled her eyes with a smile. “If the two of you want to head to my home on the grounds, just remember to lock the door behind you.” Izuku didn’t even get chance to respond before V spread her wings and took flight with him still in hand.

“Really hope they remember to use my spare bed.” The cyborg mused as she reentered maintenance and turned on the television.

“…And in other news, the leader of the terrorist cult Humarise, Flect Turn, was found dead this morning during a WHA raid. Sources confirm Flect Turn died as a result of drowning after getting his head stuck in a toilet.”

“Heh, how ‘bout that?”

There were cheers all round as Class 3-A officially graduated. They were no longer students. No longer in training. They were now heroes.

Most of them anyway. “Shame that V got held back.” N said as he held his brand new hero license in his hand. “I mean, we were all going to try and graduate together.”

“Yeah, well that was before someone found out he could reproduce with her and then did so, twice.” J said as she looked at Izuku before a smirk appeared on her face. “And I bet neither of you regret it.”

“Not a bit.” A voice said from behind J, the pig-tailed drone turning to see V, the taller drone holding the hand of Taylor Midoriya who was stood next to her mother. And in V’s arms, was Nathan Midoriya, the second of her children born just over a year ago. “Happy you got your license?” V asked Izuku.

The Helpful Hero: Emerald smiled as he looked into the eyes of the woman he loved. “Yeah. Just wish you got yours with me.”

“Meh.” V shrugged as she handed Nathan over to J, the JC Jensons Hero doting over the young cyborg. “I can wait a year. If it’s as uneventful as the past two years-.”

“Relatively speaking compared to our first year.” Uzi interrupted, The Worker Hero (shortened from Badass Super-Sick Ultimate Worker Hero) now carrying Taylor on her shoulders. “Aside from that All-Might wannabe drowning himself in a toilet on television, the only eventful thing that happened was Nathan.”

V was about to speak before stopping herself. “Did anyone ever find out why there was a toilet there when that knock-off made his declaration?”

Everyone present was silent for a moment before Izuku spoke up. “You know, I don’t they ever did.”

It had been two years since his graduation and Izuku had never been so nervous. It was taking all of his effort not to panic. This was something he absolutely could not afford to mess up. He had to remain calm.

“Hey, you okay?” N said from near Izuku, causing the young man to jump in shock. “Hey, relax.” N said before pointing finger guns at him. “You got this.”

“You wouldn’t be saying that in my position.” Izuku said before forcing a smile. “Come to think of it, it won’t be long before you are in my position.”

“We’llllll cross that bridge when we get to it.” N said before he looked over to where Uzi was, the repair drone’s black boots clashing with the dress she was wearing. Izuku was about to say something when the doors at the far end of the room opened, allowing entry for those on the other side. Including one person in particular.

Said person wore a beautiful white dress, golden bands on her arms and legs and a veil over her face. Blushing slightly, Izuku couldn’t help but marvel over how beautiful V looked as she approached.

“You ready?” V asked softly, reaching to hold Izuku’s hands.

Izuku nodded with a smile on his face. “Ready.”

An hour later, with her new husband in her arms and to the applause of every attendee, V Midoriya flew out of the church.

And several months later, Jack Midoriya was born.

At twelve years of age, Jack Midoriya sat in the vice-principal’s office. The man was currently in charge of the school with the principal off sick and was thus the one Jack’s teacher had taken him to following his… altercation.

“Now Jack. I have to say, this isn’t looking good for you.” Vice-principal Theodore Galloway said with a smug grin. “You assaulted a prominent student unprovoked and you refuse to take responsibility. I must say, I wish I could say I’m disappointed.”

“I’m sorry sir, but none of that is true.” Jack said as calmly as he could manage. “Savoy was the one to strike me first and he struck me while I was on the ground and called me things I can’t repeat.”

“We both know that’s not true boy!” The teacher, Harold Attinger sneered. “I witnessed you striking Savoy before you physically accosted him. I suppose I should have expected such violent behaviour from someone like you.”

“I’m sorry sir, but what do you mean, ‘someone like me’?” Jack asked calmly.

Before Harold could speak, Theodore interrupted him. “What Attinger means is that someone with your… nature would be jealous of someone more accomplished, more capable of fitting in with others.” The vice-principal then sneered himself. “Of course, we can’t have someone so inclined to acts of violence remain in this prestigious school now, can we?”

Jack clenched his hands before there was a knock at the door. After a moment, the school’s secretary entered. “I’m sorry. Mr Galloway? The person that Midoriya requested I ring? She’s here.”

“Ah, the supposed hero?” Theodore asked. “Yes, let’s see just who Midoriya here asked to impersonate a popular hero shall we?”

“Impersonate nothing.” A female voice declared before its owner forced their way into the room and both Theodore Galloway and Harold Attinger paled at the sight of Momo Yaoyorozu. “I trust you have a reason to have begun this meeting without a trusted adult by Mr Midoriya’s side?”

The vice-principal and teacher both stammered in shock before Momo continued. “Furthermore, a colleague of mine has done a quick background check on this school and has found that the quality of care for its students has declined since you were hired six months ago Mr Galloway. I have contacted Principal Lennox and he shares my concerns over your actions, especially as he told me Mr Midoriya here is a model student.”

“I’m, i’m sure there has been a mistake.” Harold said. “Midoriya here is a significant troublemaker. Always disrupting others. Causing trouble for no reason.”

“The teachers at one of the schools Midoriya’s father went to also made such accusations.” Momo said. “The same school that was shut down for corruption, racism and other criminal actions that I don’t have time to list.” Momo then gestured for Jack to get up. “I have already received permission to acquire copies of this school’s CCTV, rest assured, if I find any evidence of illegal activity, I will be taking action.”

As Momo and Jack walked out of the office, heading for the main exit, Momo raises her hand to the earpiece on her head. “Have you got it?”

“Sure do.” The voice of Tessa James Elliot said over the earpiece. “And I think it’s safe to say the principal ain’t going to be too happy about what his vice-principal has been doing in his absence.”

Momo allowed a satisfied smile on her face before looking at Jack. “Let’s get you home.”

Taylor Midoriya laughed as she flew through the training grounds, her wings propelling her at speeds that were impossible to match on foot (a handful of speed quirks aside). She was going to clear the exercise, she could do it, she was going to-.

A foot slammed into Taylor’s back, sending the First of Cyborgkind into the ground. After skidding several feet, Taylor spat the dirt out of her mouth only to realise that there was still something pressing against her back. “It seems someone forgot I can track heat signatures.” J’s voice said from above Taylor. “Sticking to cover to avoid visual detection until you reached a point where you had to leave said cover was a good idea, but I was keeping track of you every step of the way.”

“This was payback for me cutting your leg off by accident last exam, wasn’t it?” Taylor said as Heroics Instructor, the JC Jensons Hero: J, helped her up.

“I can neither confirm nor deny that.” J said with a smirk that indicated that her actions very much were payback. As the two returned to the rest of class, Taylor couldn’t help but think of something her comment had brought up in her mind.

“There’s something I’ve been wondering.” Taylor said as J turned her head to look at her. “You’re capable of regenerating like Mom and Uncle N and yet all the times you’ve lost a leg, you’ve needed to have them reattached or rebuilt. Why is that?”

J was about to speak before her eyes went wide in shocking realisation. “I don’t know.”

It had now been just over a year since Taylor had graduated from U.A, Principal Nori proud of the Cyborg despite the misgivings a few people had regarding Taylor. Those misgivings had been quelled when it was pointed out that quirks had been looked upon with concern in the past and what few people didn’t stop were already known to have narrow-minded views.

Right now, V and Izuku were meeting with Nathan and Tessa, their second-born child having been concerned when he’d called his parents from U.A, the boy currently in his final year at U.A himself.

“Are you okay son?” Izuku asked Nathan as V hugged Tessa before sitting down on one of the chairs in her son’s dorm room.

“I am Dad.” Nathan said with a touch of nervousness in his voice. “It’s just, I have something to say.” Izuku then saw his son glance at Tessa, the human-turned-drone smiling softly before she saw how Nathan was becoming more nervous.

“You know that your son likes older women, right?” Tessa said, causing Nathan’s eyes to narrow in shock at the blunt statement as V and Izuku turned to look at her.

“Wait, are you two an item?” Izuku asked, Nathan giving a silent, little nod in confirmation.

“I’m sorry!” Nathan then cried out. “I know Tessa’s older than you and that it’s weird to be with someone old enough to be my mother and that you’ve known Tessa since before I was born, but I like her and I think she’s fun to be around and I enjoy her company and I kissed her first without thinking and then one thing led to-.”

“Hey hey, no one’s blaming you or thinks you’re at fault.” V said before turning to Tessa. “Though I thought you knew better. You were there when Nathan was born after all.”

Tessa scratched the back of her head awkwardly. “It’s not like I spent the past few years intending to start a relationship with Nathan.” Tessa said awkwardly. “It’s just something that, well, happened.”

V frowned at Tessa before smiling. “Well, if you’re both happy, who am I to argue? I fell in love with a meat bag after all.” That got a laugh out of Nathan and Tessa as Izuku stared at his wife before Tessa scratched the back of her head.

“Ttthat’s not the only thing we wanted to say.” Tessa said. “Nathan and your other kids, Eri excluded, don’t have quirks because of their nature, right?” Izuku nodded in response. After Taylor had been born, tests had revealed that it was impossible for her, or anyone of Cyborgkind, to have a quirk, all their abilities simply a result of their bio-robotic nature (wings included). “Yeah, turns out, quirk or no quirk, Nathan inherited something from his dad.”

V tiled her head to the side. “What do you-.” Then her eyes went wide just what Tessa was referring to.

“You’re going to be grandparents.”

V and Izuku were silent for a moment, sitting still right before Izuku fell off his chair, Nathan catching his fainted father even as V toppled in her rigid position, her body clanging as it hit the floor.

Jack looked at Tessa who stared awkwardly at V’s body, the latter’s visor now displaying the words ‘SYSTEM CRASH.’

“They took that better than I expected.”

Several years had passed since Izuku and V’s time at U.A. While the married pair had kept in contact with their old classmates, few events had them gather in significant numbers. This was one of those events and everyone in attendance clapped as Nathan carried his new wife out of the church in his arms, Tessa Midoriya giving a cheerful laugh as she threw her bouquet into the gathered crowds.

“Mom’s happy.” Jay Midoriya, the eldest of Tessa and Nathan’s children said from next to V, the grandparent disassembly drone looking at the pre-teen with a smile.

“She deserves it, especially after everything she went through.” V said before looking back towards the newlyweds, the woman who had rescued V from the scrap heap so many years ago now her daughter-in-law.

Looking round, V saw Uzi and N, the two drones themselves married for four years now and though they had yet to have children of their own, they were happy to look after their friend’s children. Something Thad appreciated, given the seventeen repair drone children he’d had with J (V still had the photo of the two surrounded by pill-babies with J laughing manically among them).

“You okay V?” The Mother of Cyborgkind heard, V turning to see her husband looking at her with a soft smile.

One that V returned. “Never better.”

Three hundred years.

More than three hundred years had passed since V had come to Earth and so much had changed. Humanity had started reaching out to the stars and had begun colonising space. Already, there were colonies on the moon, a few in orbit and just recently, a colony had been established on Mars.

Cyborgkind was thriving and not only because the species was now several generations in, but because they had far longer lifespans than humans. While they now had traits comparable to humans in their late fifties, V’s own children were still around.

But to live so long had a cost and there was no exception for V. V Midoriya loved her husband and cherished every day she’d had with him.

And at one hundred and twenty-seven years of age, Izuku Midoriya had died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.

V had mourned him, heartbroken and struggling to continue. It took her children helping her accept that Izuku would want her live, for V to continue living again, though she would make sure to keep his grave maintained along with the small shrine V had made of her husband to ensure he would always be remembered.

Another name had been added just a few years after Izuku had died, and it had been just under twenty years ago when a third name had been added to the shrine.

Eri Midoriya, like her father had died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. After her first attempt to use her quirk to de-age herself nearly resulted in Eri going into cardiac arrest. V’s adopted daughter never attempted to de-age herself again and thus Eri died, having lived a long and fulfilling life.

Tessa James Midoriya Née Elliot on the other hand, did not die of old age.

After over two and a half centuries as a human-turned-disassembly drone, Tessa’s brain, the only part of her that was still human, developed a fault. One that the systems that maintained her brain could not fix and it was a fault that was going to get worse over time. Upon learning this, V, N, J and especially Tessa’s husband, Nathan, had practically fallen apart in grief, but Tessa herself had remained composed, and V could remember what she had told them.

“I’m still me and I’ve lived a good life, first few years aside. I’ve been with my best friends. I’ve married. I’ve had kids, something I didn’t think possible until it happened, and I’ve accomplished far, far more than I ever thought I would back in that mansion, or that factory.”

Rather than wait to become a vegetable and with the blessing of One for All’s vestiges, Tessa had chosen to go out on her own terms and together upon Tessa’s request, all three disassembly drones triggered an EMP pulse each that shut down Tessa’s life support, leaving the centuries-old former human smiling as she passed on in Nathan’s arms.

That was not the last ordeal the drones would face. By this point, V, N, J and Uzi all had descendants that were Cyborgs, V herself treated with the utmost respect by all of Cyborgkind by simple fact of being the one to give birth to the first generation of Cyborgkind and now, there were more than ten thousand Cyborgs of all ages.

And there were some humans who had taken offence to that.

The War for Cyborgkind had started without warning, a faction of humans who saw Cyborgkind as a perversion of nature to be wiped out. The war had been brief but the humans intent on murdering V’s descendants had built a final super weapon. One that V, Uzi and Taylor had just infiltrated.

The path to the weapon’s control room had been a fight every step of the way, with multiple defence turrets, combat mechs and genocidal humans fighting the trio. V had taken point, Uzi and Taylor right behind her as the three burst into the control room.

“Damned drones!” The leader of the anti-Cyborgkind humans snarled as he drew a gun up at the trio. “There is no future for you!” Before the man could pull the trigger on his weapon, V had fired her own rifle, three bullets tearing his head apart.

Taylor was already moving for the controls before the body finished falling to the ground. The first of Cyborgkind, now bearing resemblance to a healthy woman in her late fifties, began checking the screens on the control console as she quickly studied the controls. “That damned idiot.” She snapped before turning and kicking the body. “He’s already started the firing sequence, the blast’ll wipe out the entire city.”

“Is there anyway to stop it?” V asked her daughter as Uzi used a solver symbol to destroy a defence turret that had deployed.

“Yeah, there is.” Taylor said as she checked the controls. “The cannon’s drawing power from the reactor to fire. Disrupt it and the whole weapon goes up.” Taylor was about to continue before stopping herself.

“Taylor?” V asked her daughter.

“But there won’t be enough time to set up any kind of time bomb and escape before the cannon fires.”

V and Uzi stared in silent shock. They knew what this meant.

V looked at her daughter and recalled that Taylor, Nathan and Jack were the first generation of Cyborgkind and through them, had come so many more. The city below was home to more than half of all Cyborgkind, thousands who would die if the weapon aimed at them wasn’t destroyed on time.

Forced to choose between herself and her descendants, the Mother of Cyborgkind found it to be the easiest choice of her life.

“Get out of here.” V told Taylor.

“M-mom?!”

Without hesitation, V grabbed her daughter in a tight hug. “No matter what, you live your life to the fullest.” V told Taylor. “Tell your brothers that I love them.” V then turned to Uzi. “Tell N that I want my name added to Izuku’s shrine and to take care of it. And tell J…” V couldn’t help but smile. “Tell J she’s not getting that oil can I owe her.”

V pulled away from her daughter, Tears falling from Taylor’s eyes. “I love you, Mom.”

“I know.” V said before spreading her wings and flying out of the control room.

“Come on Taylor!” Uzi said, using a solver symbol to tear a hole in the ceiling and allowing the two entrance to the next floor, Uzi and Taylor flying up before racing to find the exit, Uzi ripping open another hole to reach the next floor and then the one after that before finally finding an exit. Both Repair Drone and Cyborg escaped the weapon, Uzi looking back to watch the hexagonal craft, VTOL engines on each of its sides, aim a thick barrel down at the city below, the barrel tip already starting to glow.

Metal screeched as V tore the door off its hinges before entering the reactor room, the core of the super weapon glowing with generated power. Wordlessly, V deployed a laser rifle from each arm, increasing their power to well beyond safe levels.

Taking aim, V thought of her children. Thought of her grandchildren. Of the thousands that had descended from her and Izuku.

She thought of her long-gone friends from her time at U.A.

She thought of Uzi. Of N. Of J.

She thought of Tessa.

She thought of Izuku Midoriya.

V fired at the reactor.

There was a blinding light and then everything went dark.

V Midoriya opened her eyes.

“What?”

She should be dead, right? Where was she?

“Mom?”

V looked round and saw what looked like a blonde human behind a pedestal next to golden gates and standing next to the blonde was…

“Eri?”

“MOM!”

V and Eri didn’t waste time rushing each other, mother and adoptive daughter wrapping their arms around each other as the blonde human grabbed a white and gold object from his pedestal and began speaking into it.

“You’re here!” Eri cried as she held her mother. “We’ve all missed you.”

“I missed you too Eri.” V said softly. “But where are we?”

“Heaven Mom.” Eri said softly. “We’re in Heaven.”

That single statement made V freeze. Heaven? As in actual, divine Heaven. That Heaven?

“Is-is your father here?” V couldn’t help but ask her adopted daughter, silently hoping that he wasn’t far. Eri was quiet for too long a moment. “Eri..”

“He did come here when he died.” Eri said with slight hesitation. “But he spends most of his time working… elsewhere.” Seeing something behind V, the horned girl gave a smile. “They can explain better than me.”

V turned round to see a pair of people (?) exiting a fire-edged portal before approaching her. One of the pair looking like a dark-skinned woman with white hair and wearing a white and blue dress while the other was wearing a mostly red suit and had blonde hair and pale-white skin. “Oh, my father. You must be V.” The blonde said before approaching V, grabbing and shaking her hand excitedly. “Izuku’s told me so much about you. I’m so happy to meet you. Well not happy you’re dead, but happy, well, you know.”

“Wait. Wait. How do you know Izuku.” V asked as she pulled her hand back. “Who are you.”

“Oh, sorry.” The blonde said. “I’m Charlie and this,” ‘Charlie’ then gestured to the white-haired girl that V now noticed had a halo around her head and was bouncing excitedly, like she was meeting a celebrity or something. “Is Emily. High Seraphim of Heaven.”

Unable to restrain herself, Emily took hold of V’s hand and began shaking it vigorously. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.” The young-looking girl said happily. “Your husband has said so many good things about you.”

“Wait, wait, WAIT!” V cried as she pulled her hand away. “Where is Izuku?”

Charlie looked at Emily before looking back at V. “First thing you need to know… is that since my dad decided to go into retirement, I’m basically the Queen of Hell.”

“…What?”

“And I run a special place down there and-.”

“-Know what?” Emily said. “It’ll be easier to show you.”

V stepped through the portal after Eri, Charlie and Emily and entered a large room, off to one side was a bar with what looked like a winged humanoid cat tending it, stairs leading to another floor at the back and windows on different walls. “Where are we?” She asked.

“My pride and joy.” Charlie said with a smile. “The Hazbin Hotel. The first, and so far only, place in Hell for rehabilitation.”

“Wait, did you just say Hell?” V replied, Charlie nodding in response and V felt dread build up inside her. “Why, why is Izuku in Hell?”

“Oh, he wasn’t sent down here or anything.” A voice said from nearby, a red and black clad woman with long grey hair walking into the room with another woman following her in. “Once he learnt of the hotel, he volunteered to come down and help rehabilitate people. He’s quite good at it as well.”

“That’s hardly surprising from him.” The second woman to have entered the room said, V noting that this white-haired woman was wearing a black and grey business suit which lacked a left sleeve, exposing what looked like an arm made of gold metal which currently held a clipboard. “Charlie made him Head Reformist because of his success rate. Over the past near-two centuries, he has reformed over two hundred thousand souls.” The woman paused in slight hesitation before continuing. “Not including Heaven or Hell born.”

V took the woman’s words in before smiling. “He’s helping people. He always wanted to help people.”

“Yes. His drive to help others is… admirable.” The metal-armed woman said with admiration. “Even helped me get out of a particularly… toxic mindset. I’ll always be thankful to him for that.”

“And by that Lute means she want to ride your hubby until her pelvis breaks.” Someone from the landing called out teasingly. “Only reason she won’t do it is because of how devoted Izuku is to you.” The person in question, a white furred, four-armed person, would have likely continued had the metal-armed woman, Lute, not pulled a spear out of nowhere and impaled it in the wall next to him.

“What are you doing here Angel?” Lute growled. “Did you get kicked out of Heaven again? I swear if you started another mass orgy…”

“Whoa, whoa, chill.” Charlie said. “I’m sure Angel has a reason for being back here, but Izuku will be here soon… right Vaggie?”

The woman, ‘Vaggie’, who had entered the room with Lute nodded. “Yeah, he’ll be here when his current session’s finished. Didn’t want to spoil the surprise. And just so you know V, your old classmates? They’re in Heaven as well. Some of them do volunteer work here, others have been helping out Emily when she took over as head seraphim after Sera retired. And if you’re worried at all about some of the idiots you know of that deserve to be in Hell, some of them got killed, some got their souls bound to overlords and others… well…”

It was a that moment a well-dressed man with red hair and a sharp smile walked into the room before sitting at the bar. “Oh, don’t mind me.” The man said with an electrical-static-sounding voice. “Please carry on.” As the man turned away towards then bartender, V could have sworn she heard Katsuki Bakugou crying in pained anger.

“Okay, not touching that.” V muttered.

“Yeah, best not.” Eri said. “Alastor’s pretty much on the short list of people you don’t mess with down here.”

“Something that quite a few people from Izuku’s time should have read.” ‘Alastor’ said. “I’ll be sure to let you know the details another time.”

Before V could say anything, a door opened and even before she could see who was entering, she could hear voices she had not heard in a long time.

“All things considered, I wouldn’t be surprised if those two ascend by the end of the week.” A memorably female voice said. “They’ve really come a long way.”

“If I hadn’t seen it for myself, you wouldn’t think they were the same people that they were when they came here.” A very, very familiar voice said. One that made V gasp as the two saw here and even after so many years, V easily recognised them.

“Izuku. Tessa.”

“V?”

Upon hearing her husband speak her name, V rushed forward and embraced him tightly. Even after all these years, V and her husband still recognised each other.

Still loved each other.

And now they were together again.

XXXXX SOMETIME LATER XXXXX

Ever since V had reunited with Izuku, the two were inseparable.

She had met with her old friends on occasion, most of them coming to help with work, others she went to visit. Her children had yet to pass on and as much as they wanted their family together again, Izuku and V Midoriya were in no rush for their children’s lives to end.

Charlie and the rest of the Hazbin Hotel’s staff had become good friends, Tessa herself all too happy to tell stories about them to V.

V was not oblivious to the fact that Lute was in love with Izuku although it was clear the former exorcist was unwilling to make a move on V’s husband and content with simply being a trusted friend.

Now, V was sat on top of the hotel’s roof with Izuku by her side. “You okay?” Izuku asked his wife.

“Yeah.” V said. “Just thinking how much I love you, dork.”

Izuku gave a slight laugh. “And I love you.” The two then shifted closer together so they could press their mouths together, the two kissing as they wrapped their arms round one another.

Had someone told V back on Copper-9 that she would fall in love with a human, she would have laughed.

But she had fallen in love with one, borne his children and had been reunited with Izuku in death.

V loved Izuku far more than a single lifespan would allow.

Fortunately, they had eternity together.

And V and Izuku Midoriya would love each other forever.

END OF STORY EXTRA NOTES

The drones all got homes on U.A after their arrival, though since then, some got homes elsewhere. Tessa got her own home on U.A after her own arrival.

Nori killed Shigaraki at the USJ (he’s the corpse seen there in the first I x V)

The void sphere that appeared in front of Tessa in Adventures of the Ninth was connected to the one that All Might barely avoided in Absolute Cyn, teleporting his blood and resulting in it being ingested by Tessa.

Tessa regretted letting V and Izuku break V’s new modifications in in her home.

V’s body sealed up any holes Izuku made with his quirk.

Nezu was succeeded by Nori as principal of U.A after the war, J joining U.A’s staff two years later.

Anyone who is Cyborgkind technically does not have a quirk but they are naturally stronger and faster than most people and have wings, enabling them to fly. It’s not clear if their ability to reproduce with drones is a quirk or not. Also, should a member of Cyborgkind mate with a human, then the resulting child will be a Cyborg.

All for One thought he could take over Hell, Lucifer barely had to use any effort to beat him senseless before having All for One enslaved to Satan forever.

The HPSC and MLA leadership are irrelevant, unable to claim any of their former power and forced into servitude under varying overlords just to survive.

Aizawa is Valentino’s bitch. Enough said.

Cyn got transferred to another Hell. She is currently in HFIL sharing a room with Cell, much to each other’s annoyance.

Izuku’s convincing of Lute to change her ways was preceded by seven hours of the two beating the crap out of each other to the point of exhaustion.

Notes:

IT’S DONE! I x V has come to an end and I really, REALLY struggled to get this done. There was so much I would have liked to do but wasn’t able to. I would have like to do more with V and Izuku’s children but I couldn’t get through the writer’s block to do more.

Nonetheless, I kept going because I know I had promised this finale and was going to keep that promise. I don’t know if I’ll ever come back to this little series of mine but if anyone wants to make their own contribution then they are more than welcome to. I also want to give a big thank you to whoever made the Tv Tropes page for this series and it makes me happy to know that people out there thought highly enough of this series to make such a page.
