Chapter 1: Felix

Summary:

After too many hours scrolling on TikTok, Felix has a genius idea.

Chapter Text

Felix has an idea. Too many hours scrolling on TikTok and one too many ship videos sent by Innie–mostly of JeongLix, strangely, which he didn’t even know was a ship–and Felix is determined that it’s a GREAT idea!

“Siwoo-hyung,” Felix calls, trying to get their manager's attention.

“Yes, Bokkie?”

“Can I stay and speak to you and Jia-noona, after the meeting? I want to discuss a TikTok idea.”

“Of course you can Lix~ah,” Jia, their social media manager responds, smiling warmly. “Your ideas are always a hit across our platforms; I’d love to hear it.”

“Did you want one of the members to stay, Bokkie?” Siwoo asks.

It had become customary for another member to attend all meetings with him regarding work; it was a rule Chan had enforced after he returned after his elimination. Chan had wanted to ensure that he wasn’t taken advantage of because he didn’t understand all the conditions and legalities of what was being asked of him. It was usually Chan who stayed, since he could translate the more difficult words for Felix, though he had sent Seungmin in his place when 3racha were busy.

“I would actually prefer to speak to you alone, please.” Felix shifts nervously, voice smaller than before.

“WHAT?!”

Felix doesn’t have the courage to look over at the others to find out for sure who just screamed, but if he had to guess, he would say it was a combination of Jisung, Hyunjin, and Jeongin.

“Of course Yongbok~ssi, we can do that,” Siwoo answers formally, trying to placate any misguided anger from the members that might have stemmed from his request for privacy. It was unusual but it was necessary; he needed the element of surprise to make his plan work, so he’d just bake them “sorry brownies” later.

“Thank you, I just really want to hear you and Jia-noona’s opinions first, before I share my idea with the members.”

“BUT WE ARE TWINS, WE SHARE EVERYTHING WITH EACH OTHER!” Jisung whines.

“It’s okay Sung. Lix wants to do this on his own, we have to respect that; let’s go and give them some space,” Chan reasons, ushering the others out the door.

“Channie-hyung…” Felix calls, worried he had offended their leader. He’s almost afraid to make eye contact, in case the hurt in his eyes makes him change his mind. But he didn’t need to worry.

“It’s okay, little one, you will tell me later," Chan reassures with a small smile as he exits the meeting room, herding the others into the elevator as Jisung continues to protest.

He waits a little longer to ensure that none of the others are loitering before turning his attention back to Siwoo and Jia.“So Lix, what ideas do you have?” Jiwoo asks with an encouraging smile

“Well, I…” Felix hesitates. He swallows nervously before spitting it all out in a rush. “I want to do the ‘surprising my best friend with a kiss’ TikTok challenge.”

“Oh,” both managers manage simultaneously. The awkward silence that follows does nothing for his nerves.

“I can explain,” he blushes. “It's just that I see so many tweets about how we are always almost kissing, and I don’t think that Stays realise we are just joking and this would be a good way to end those speculations, because obviously the others will panic and push me away; it will be cute and funny.”

Siwoo and Jia give each other a knowing look.

“And you are sure that they will push you away, Lixie?” Jia asks, a strangely knowing tone to her voice.

“Of course. We are just friends.” He laughs awkwardly.

“And you would be okay if they push you away, Bokkie?” Siwoo questions gently.

“I–of course, why would anyone want to kiss me? I expect it. It will be funny.” He avoids eye contact with his managers, not sure if he indeed would be okay, but knowing he should be.

“Then I think you should do it,” Siwoo answers.

“You do?” Felix looks up in shock.

“I do, too,” Jia agrees. “Like you said, Stays expect you to kiss anyway, so it can’t hurt, right?”

“Okay! I will start filming straight away.” He smiles brightly, excited at the thought of making a new video for Stays. “Thank you hyung! Thank you noona!”

“Let me know if I can help in any way, Lixie,” Jia offers as he rushes out the door.

“I will!!! Thank you noona,” he yells back as he rushes to the elevator, already plotting who he should try first.

As the elevator dings, he is hit with a moment of clarity and pulls his phone out to message his first victim. His twin, Han Jisung.

💜

“Did we just set him up for heartbreak, oppa?” Jia looks at Siwoo with worry, her face falling at the thought.

“No. Not one of those boys will push him away. Hopefully this is the push they need,” Siwoo answers firmly. “At least, I hope it is: none of us can deal with the pining anymore.”

“Agreed!” Jia laughs.

Siwoo snorts as he watches Felix press the elevator button repeatedly.

“Honestly, if I catch one more ‘almost’ kiss, death glare when he talks to just about anyone other than them or us, or have to find him one more time after a member has stolen him away from production, I will lose my mind. I am not paid enough to constantly be playing ‘how to avoid a scandal’ with these kids,” Siwoo sighs.

“I have always just leaned into it,” Jia laughs. “The more you sell it, the less fans believe it.”

“If it was just the fans I had to worry about, my job would be much easier. But every day I have to worry about the set crew disappearing from this earth for looking at Bokkie the wrong way.”

“Let’s hope this works then, oppa, for their sake and yours,” Jia sympathises.

“Let’s hope; otherwise I need a raise,” Siwoo laments.

“Do you think he genuinely doesn’t know they are in love with him?” Jia adds thoughtfully.

“I think loving is like breathing for our Yongbokkie,” Siwoo answers after some time. “He knows they love him, I just don’t think he knows what kind of love. Hopefully this will open his eyes.”

Chapter Text

Jisung is furious; he cannot believe they left their sunshine alone to have a meeting by himself, and he voices his opinion on the matter freely.

“I cannot believe you let him have a meeting alone!” Jisung fumes, glaring at Chan.

"Sung, it is hardly a meeting, and Siwoo-hyung and Jia-noona love Lix and will look after him," Chan reasons. "He deserves independence, and professionally speaking, we do get the most views from his video ideas."

It’s not that he doesn’t trust his twin; he trusts his life in those adorable little hands. It’s just the universe that he doesn’t trust with Felix.

The last time they had left him alone in a meeting was with Park Jinyoung himself during the survival show. Their PD-nim had said he just wanted to check in on how Felix was settling in. None of them could have known it was actually to see how well Felix could hold a conversation in Korean, or that the meeting would lead to his elimination.

None of them had known, and none of them would ever forgive themselves. Especially Chan, who had stormed into an executive meeting the following day, stared JYP dead in the eyes, demanded he bring Felix back like a threat, and walked straight back out.

It had worked, somehow; Felix was back within the week with little to no repercussions for Chan, other than JYP sending YoungK down to check on his well-being. Pre-debut Jisung had been impressed, if not a little scared. He hadn’t gone with Chan, choosing instead to stay and sulk in the studio; but Changbin had, and he has likened Chan’s demeanor that day to a hellhound out for blood.

Felix’s return had come with a new set of rules, and he was never without another member. He was utterly too sweet and naive for his own good. Unlike Minho, who could hold his own, the team had decided collectively to protect Felix and never to let him out of their sights again. If they wanted to take him, they would have to go through the whole team.

And boy, was there a list of people lined up to take him! Modelling agencies, directors, brands, other companies. Their baby was a superstar, and he was wanted; incredibly so.

The rule stayed in place throughout the years, despite the attention having turned largely for the positive. But now–selfishly–it was more a matter of keeping Felix to themselves. The world may want Lee Felix, but no one would ever want or need him more than Stray Kids.

"What if he is talking about collabs," he huffs. "Some hot, muscular man who will whisk our baby away?"

"Wait, what? That’s a possibility?" Innie jumps to his feet

"Everyone needs to calm down.” Changbin pulls the youngest back down into his seat. “Chan has to approve all collabs, so if that’s what it is, we will know soon anyway.”

“I will not be calm; what if he is asking for another collab with Twice?” Jisung insists “Nayeon-noona and Momo-noona have been trying to steal him for years!”

“Sit down, jagi, no one is stealing our kitten,” Minho insists, voice low, gaze piercing.

“But-”

“The only butt you should be worried about right now is your own, Han Jisung,” Minho threatens, which both scares and excites Jisung.

Jisung thinks better of acting like a brat and turns his attention to the silent parties in the room.

“And you, lover boy! I was expecting more assistance from your possessive, overprotective ass!” Jisung points an accusatory finger at Hyunjin, who raises a snarky eyebrow. “You practically–”

He doesn’t get to finish his sentence, because he is distracted by his phone buzzing and Felix’s cute little freckled face flashing across his screen.

“Hi baby,” he answers, voice softening immediately. “Oh, you want me to come over to film a TikTok? Of course I will.”

He hangs up and finds everyone staring at him, their expressions varying degrees of bemused and annoyed. He admittedly skips over Hyunjin and Innie, who he can feel burning holes in his head with their gaze.

“Well, I guess I am the hot, muscular man Lix wants to collab with,” he laughs, rubbing the back of his neck.

He continues to avoid Hyunjin’s murderous glare as he backs towards the front door of their dorm to head to the cutie dorm.

“Anyway, off to help my baby,” he says as he opens the door. After a moment of debate with himself, he turns to poke his tongue out at the others before he slams the door shut and runs off.

He will deal with those consequences later.

💜

Felix has just finished setting up the camera when hears the unmistakable sound of the security pad for their front door. It didn’t take long for him to decide that Jisung was the right member to start with; after all, his self-professed twin is who he was most often accused of almost-kissing on stage. Surely, this is the best bet to put an end to the rumors once and for all.

“I am here, my baby,” Jisung calls. “Where are you?”

“My bedroom,” he yells in answer, just managing to keep his voice steady.

He sits at the end of his bed and nervously squeezes one of his plushies as he waits. He doesn’t have to wait long, because soon, Jisung is standing in the doorway.

“Hi, my baby. What are we filming today?” Jisung smiles at him, his round face lighting up sweetly. “You look cute, is that Minho-hyung’s hoodie?”

“I am borrowing it,” he answers, looking down at the black hoodie with an angel kitty on the front that he had sequestered from his hyung’s room.

He places his plushie down and pats the space beside him, indicating for his twin to take a seat.

“I am sure he won’t mind, he will happily share anything with his kitten,” Jisung assures as sits down beside him. “So, what new trend has the TikTok master discovered? Should I have stretched before I came? What’s the plan?”

Felix doesn’t give himself time to overthink. “This,” he breathes, before he launches himself at Jisung and crashes their lips together, grabbing the front of his best friend’s shirt to brace for the expected push back.

Only it never comes; Jisung is frozen for a split second before he giggles–he freaking giggles–and then moves his hands to Felix’s face and kisses him back.

WHAT THE HELL?

The kiss is tentative at first, like Jisung isn’t sure whether to push or pull, but soon there are soft, persistent lips on his and he is being moved–gently but assertively–to lay back on the bed as Jisung moves to straddle him.

By the time he pulls away, Felix is breathless. Woah! Jisung was an excellent kisser. He would have to be though, right? He was dating Lee Minho.

Fuck, Minho-hyung! He has just helped Jisung cheat on his boyfriend. It takes less than a split second for the realization to bring Felix to tears, and suddenly he is hiding his face and bawling into the sleeves of the hoodie owned by the very man he had just betrayed. So much for being an angel like everyone claims.

“Hey! hey! hey!” Jisung exclaims, hands moving to pin Felix’s own down to stop him from hiding. He sounds angry, and Felix begins to cry harder. Surely he’s realized what Felix just did, and is getting ready to yell at him.

“I will have you know that I am an excellent kisser. The Amazon reviews on my lips are a solid five out of five stars, so I am going to assume you are crying from how overwhelmingly good that was,” Jisung protests.

“What?” Felix questions while looking up at the other man, confused.

“Jagi, why are you crying?” Jisung moves to wipe some of his tears away. His hands are gentle on Felix’s face, but that only serves to make Felix feel worse.

“Because I am a bad person,” Felix sobs.

“You are the kindest person I have ever met, baby,” Jisung answers, pulling him closer. “Where is this coming from all of a sudden?”

“Don’t lie to me. I helped you cheat on Minho-hyung, I am a horrible person.”

“Is that what this is about?” Jisung lets out a relieved laugh. “Baby, Minho-hyung isn’t actually the jealous type; I have a pass to kiss all members whose surnames start with letters from the first half of the alphabet. So Ang Jeongin, Bang Chan, Hwang Hyunjin, and Lee Felix.”

Despite himself, he can’t help but let out a laugh. “I am pretty sure it’s Yang Jeongin, and you forgot Minnie.”

“I value my life too much to ever attempt to kiss Kim Seungmin, and the maknae is always the exception, right?” Jisung defends, his cheeks puffing out in indignation.

“I am still confused.”

“Minho-hyung and I are definitely more than friends, but that doesn’t mean I can’t love you, or that he can’t love you; in fact, I promise that if you try to kiss him, he will absolutely kiss you back. I meant it when I said he will happily share anything with his kitten,” Jisung assures him again, squeezing his hands between his own.

As if the universe is testing him, they hear the front door of the dorm open and the distinct sound of the maknaes bickering, with Minho telling them off.

“Let’s get your face cleaned up, because I love you, but I don’t want to die by Minho’s hand when he sees you’ve been crying. I will absolutely be blamed,” Jisung reasons, already reaching for the make-up wipes on the side table. “And then, we will go out there and you can ask him yourself.”

Felix gives a small nod as his twin wipes his face.

“But just know that once Minho-hyung confirms it, I will be expecting more kisses! No more of this gay chicken game we have been playing,” Jisung warns. “I have waited far too long for kisses to ever be just ‘platonic twins’ ever again.”

“Sungie, twins are supposed to be platonic,” Felix giggles despite himself.

“Not in this household! Or mine!” Jisung insists, sneakily planting a kiss on the younger's nose as he finishes wiping his face.  “Now, let’s go and get you Minho-hyung’s permission so that we can make out.”

Felix’s heart clenches with dread.

“I am not ready,” he mumbles.

“Okay baby, there’s no rush, take your time. I do think, though, that it would be better to do it today; rip it off like a bandaid, so that you don’t get too lost in your head about it,” Jisung reasons, wrapping his arm around his twin.

“Okay, today, I promise; just let me find the courage.”

Courage is definitely what he would need to face Minho. After all, he had kissed, and now it was time to tell

Chapter Text

Minho stands at the fridge door, trying to decide what to cook. He could grab the leftovers and throw together a quick fried rice, or he had the ingredients available to make his kitten’s favorite kimchi-jjigae from scratch. The other two aren't fussy, but his kitten is. He tries to think back to today’s meetings to recall if he had seen Felix eat, and immediately starts to pull out ingredients for the stew when he realizes that no, he hadn’t.

It had been a little too quiet when he had gotten back to the dorm with the maknaes. He half-expected that the Sunshine Twins would have rearranged the furniture in the living room to practice whatever dance trend Felix wanted to film, but not only were they not there, but there was no music coming from Felix’s room. Jisung’s shoes by the door were the only clue that they are both still here, at least; but like overly mischievous toddlers, silence from any combination of the Dragon line was a concern.

It had only been a half hour after Jisung had left before he had decided to take the two youngest members home, as the news that there was a list of people requesting to collaborate with their freckled fairy had agitated their youngest. Jeongin’s over-possessive posturing had started to break Hyunjin’s resolve to behave, and it had taken one final look from Chan before Minho was dragging the youngest out by the ear, Seungmin in tow.

Having raised cats, Minho was a firm believer in letting them explore and give them independence, so he hadn’t checked on the twins since he arrived. Instead, he had called dibs on the shower, threatening Seungmin with starvation if he didn’t yield. Then, he headed to his room to watch an episode of an anime before starting dinner.

He couldn’t help the little smirk that escaped when he had found the brand new kitten hoodie he had strategically left on his bed for wandering blonds to steal already missing. It was a known fact that Felix preferred the other members' clothes; he loved to be drowning in pilfered hoodies and sweatshirts. He had purposely worn his new hoodie yesterday, and he felt his kitten’s eye follow him everywhere he went in the dorm. He knew then that the hoodie wouldn’t be his for the rest of the week.

He looks up at the clock and sees it is 8 pm; they have been home a while now, and yet still no sign of Felix and Jisung. He continues to cut the vegetables and adds them to the pot, resolved to check in on the two once he can leave the stew to boil.

He is mid-mixing when he hears a door open and assumes it’s their maknae coming to put a movie on, in hopes of luring his favorite hyung out of his room.

“Ohhh jagi, it smells so good in here. What are you making?” Jisung calls out.

Surprised, Minho turns to find Jisung heading towards the kitchen, with Felix in tow.

“Kimchi-jjigae. Are you staying for dinner, jagi?” Minho responds, returning his attention to stirring the pot.

“Yes please!” Jisung answers enthusiastically. “Look, baby, hyung is cooking your favorite.”

He hears the grating screech of a chair being pulled out, followed by another, but no response comes from the youngest in the room.

Minho turns to see Jisung smiling up at him, but Felix has his sweater paws gripping the table’s edge like it is a lifeline, and he’s staring down at his hands as if they’ll disappear if he looks away.

That is odd, he thinks to himself. His kitten is usually the brightest person in the room. He gives Jisung a questioning look, but when all he gets is a small shrug in response and then his jagi moves to rub circles on Felix’s back, his concern deepens.

“What is wrong with my kitten?” he asks the room, turning his back to the pair again to return to cooking, knowing Felix gets intimidated easily and wanting to ease the burden of eye contact from him.

He hears quiet whispers, and then a chair being pushed out and the unmistakable sound of Felix’s socked feet padding along the floor, and he sighs, assuming the blond has run back to his room.

Instead, Minho is caught off guard, letting out a small oof when someone crashes into his back and arms circle his waist. He looks down and sees the same sweater paws that were just holding the table now locked around his torso.

“Jagi, who do I have to fight?” he asks. He doesn’t have to clarify who he is speaking to; he has never had to, with the twins. Though his question could apply to both of them right now, they both know he is asking Felix. He has always used kitten and jagi interchangeably, just like Jisung uses baby or jagi when he refers to Felix, because he is their jagi, too.

“Me, hyung; you need to fight me,” Felix murmurs, resting his head on his shoulder. “I kissed Jisung. I am so sorry.”

                                  💜

Felix feels the moment his hyung stiffens in his arm at his confession. His eyes begin to water, knowing that this would be the beginning of the end; he has ruined everything with this stupid TikTok idea.

Minho moves to lower the heat on the stove and grabs the lid from beside him on the bench to place on top of the pot. It is only then that Felix moves to back away; he has held on slightly longer than is maybe wise, knowing this might be the last chance to hug his hyung like this. He tries to pull his arms back, but Minho’s hands come down and grip his wrists, holding them firmly in place.

“Where are you going, kitten?” he asks, turning to face Felix with a smirk on his face.

Felix is so dazed by the reaction that he freezes, hands clenching at the fabric in their grasp.

Minho places his hands on Felix’s shoulders and begins moving them backwards, until Felix is pinned between him and the small kitchen island across the stovetop. Then he places his hands on either side of Felix, caging him in.

“Seems a little unfair that you are wearing my clothes,” Minho says, eyes traveling down to the hoodie he is wearing, “and yet, here you are, kissing Jisung.”

“Well–I…um….”

“Use your words, Yongbok-ah,” Minho demands, looking at him very much like a predator would his prey. Felix is terrified; his hyung is toying with him, and there is nothing he can do because he deserves this.

“I–ah. I am sorry I betrayed your trust, hyung,” he whispers, eyes turned downwards. “Please don’t be mad at Jisung.”

“Aww kitten, I am not mad,” Minho assures, one hand moving to gently grip his chin and tilt his face upwards to face him.

“You’re not?” Felix questions, eyes starting to water.

“Jealous, maybe. Curious, definitely. But not mad.”

“But I kissed Jisung,” Felix says, doubling down. “I’m a bad person.”

“Yes, you did kiss Jisung, and I am very curious as to why. But, I am sure Jisung told you that I’m okay with you kissing him,” Minho says, looking over his shoulder at Jisung.

“I DID!” Jisung insists. “He won’t listen to me.”

“Well there you go, Yongbok-ah. Jisung already told you, and he is right; I don’t mind,” Minho reassures him.

Felix turns his head to look back at Jisung, who gives him a small nod of reassurance and a wink for good measure. He then turns his attention back to his hyung and sees the sincerity in his eyes and slumps in relief, head resting on his hyung’s shoulder. Minho wraps his arms around him and pulls him into his chest.

They stand there for a minute, as Felix lets a few tears of relief fall and Minho holds him, hands stroking through his hair. After a while, Felix once again tries to pull away, but Minho doesn’t let him go. Instead, he pins him back against the island gently and wipes away the few stray tears still staining his cheeks.

“I am going to ask you again: where are you going, kitten?” Minho questions with a smirk.

“I was, umm.. gonna let you go back to cooking.”

“The food is on a low heat and will be perfectly fine.” Minho moves himself ever so slightly to the left, to allow Felix to see the stove. “However, my question from earlier still stands: you are wearing my hoodie, kissing our jagi, and I get nothing, is that it?”

Felix is very confused.

“I’m sorry, hyung, I can take it off.” Felix tries removing the hoodie, but Minho cages him back in.

“I don’t want you to take it off. Well, at least not in this context.” Minho eyes him hungrily, making Felix’s skin break out in goosebumps. “I just think I am owed something for being so generous, don’t you think?”

“Of course! What do you want me to do?” Felix complies immediately, innocence laced in his question. “Would you like a massage? I can make brownies for you. Do you want me to buy you another hoodie?”

“Can I kiss you, kitten?”

Felix looks at Minho wide-eyed, all his thoughts coming to a screeching halt. Minho laughs, brushing a stray strand of hair out of his eyes.

“Is that a ‘no’, jagi?” he asks, pressing Felix slightly more into the counter with his hips.

“No. I mean, yes. I mean… kiss me. Please.”

“Well, since you were so polite about it…”

A hand slides into his hair and Minho’s lips are on his own in an instant; gentle, commanding, confident. Minho takes his time, kisses him like there is nowhere else he needs to be, like there is nowhere else he wants to be, and Felix’s heart tightens at the feeling. A hand slides down his back and squeezes his butt, making him gasp, and that is all Minho needs to deepen the kiss, pulling Felix further into him and allowing him to melt into his hyung’s arms.

When Minho pulls away, he is lightheaded and giddy. He can hear Jisung’s squeal of joy in the background and the way his twin is kicking his feet under the table with delight. It would be embarrassing in any other context, having your best friend in the room when you have all reason and logic kissed out of you, but when it is Minho and Jisung, somehow it just makes sense. Minho is still holding him and pressing gentle kisses from the tip of his nose to his forehead, so he can’t bring himself to think past this moment.

“Yah! Han Jisung, are you filming us right now?” Minho yells, and that is enough to bring Felix back down to earth.

“Well you see, jagi, it's for Lixie’s TikTok,” Jisung defends.

Felix turns to face his twin, tilting his head and scrunching his nose in confusion.

“You little perv, you and I both know that we could never post that! That video is for you and we both know it!” Minho is resolute, ears turning red with how loudly he’s shouting.

There is the sound of a door opening down the hall before Seungmin appears in the kitchen.

“What is going on? And do I even want to know?” Seungmin sighs. “Innie and I were playing video games, and then suddenly we could hear screaming despite our headsets!”

“Minho-hyung has gone crazy!” Jisung is quick to accuse, scrambling up and throwing himself behind Seungmin, using him as a human shield. “Minnie, save me!”

“I knew I shouldn't have asked,” Seungmin complains, already trying to get Jisung to unhand him.

“Play stupid games, you win stupid prizes, jagi,” Minho warns ominously. He ruffles Felix’s hair before turning back to the stove. “It will be dinner time soon; grab Ayen-ah, Seungmin. And Jisung, help Felix set the table.”

Everyone begins to move, not wanting to incur Minho’s wrath. When the table is set and everyone is sitting down for their meal, Felix gives himself a minute to go over the events of the day and decide what to do next.

He catches Seungmin staring at him from across the table, eyebrow raised in question, and Felix smiles. Well, the filming might have gone awry today, but he’s still got several hapless victims he can go after next.

Chapter Text

Felix paces the length of his room, running nervous fingers through his hair. Jia had texted him earlier this morning, asking him how the TikTok filming was going, and he hadn’t been sure how to respond. Obviously, the video he filmed with Jisung yesterday was not something that fit the trend, and he certainly isn’t going to ask Jisung for whatever he captured between himself and Minho after that. No thanks, he doesn’t need to see that in third-person, 4K video.

But like an idiot, he’d told Jia that everything was fine, and that he should have a video ready by the end of the week. He’ll have to worry about the implications of what happened with Minho and Jisung later, maybe when he stops feeling the ghost of their lips on his every time his mind wanders.

He feels his face flush even now, remembering the way Jisung had cradled his face, and Minho had cornered him against the counter…

Wait, not the time. Where was he?

Right, his TikTok video.

Maybe Jisung was actually a bad choice for it, he’s willing to admit that now; they’ve “almost kissed” too many times for it to be truly shocking, anyway. So, he has to pick someone else, someone who will react strongly and push him away, just like the guy in the original video he saw. The only question is, who?

The most obvious candidates are Jeongin and Seungmin. Innie has always been a very vocal opponent of skinship, so surely he’ll balk spectacularly if Felix attempts to kiss him. But considering how much Innie truly does detest skinship–and the fact that Felix doesn’t want to genuinely make him uncomfortable–maybe Seungmin is the better bet. Seungmin doesn’t usually pull away from hugs with the same vehemence Innie does, but he’s still cagey on a good day. Surely if Felix goes to kiss him out of nowhere, he’ll react properly, right?

Decision made, Felix walks over to his desk and sets up his camera again. This time for real, he thinks. The first time was a fluke (and he’s pointedly not thinking about Minho), but now he’ll get his TikTok.

His roommate had arrived home from a singing lesson about ten minutes ago or so, according to the messages on his phone, so he should still be out in the main area of the apartment. Definitely in hearing range. Showtime.

“Seungminnie,” he calls out sweetly. “Can you come here, please?”

He can already imagine the mildly disgruntled face Seungmin is surely pulling, because he hates when they yell through the door instead of coming out to talk “like a normal person.” Well, if this goes according to plan, he’ll have other things to be grumpy about, anyway.

Felix hides just outside the frame of the video, bouncing on the tips of his toes in anticipation. He hears rustling down the hall, then the door to his room opens carefully. Seungmin shuffles in and looks around the room before spotting him, a slight frown on his face, and Felix almost feels bad that he’s about to make that expression worse.

Almost.

“Is there a particular reason you hollered for me like a heathen, Lixie?” Seungmin asks, clearly gearing up for a lecture. “For the third time this week, I might add.”

Without a word, Felix crosses into the path of his phone camera and reaches up to put his hands on Seungmin’s surprisingly broad shoulders. He’s expecting to be pushed away any second, especially once he starts making a ridiculous kissy face. That should be enough to clue Seungmin in on his intentions and garner a reaction.

And it is; just not the reaction Felix had been prepared for.

Two hands come up on either side of him, and Felix braces to get pushed back. He’s not worried that Seungmin will be too rough, but he’s light and it’s easy for the others to shove him harder than intended. Since he’s braced for the backwards push, he’s taken entirely off guard when those hands continue their upward path, land gently on either side of his face, and then pull him forward.

Before he can register what’s going on, a pair of warm, soft lips meet his own. On an instinct he doesn’t understand, he moves further into the kiss, hands dropping from Seungmin’s shoulders to wrap around the wrists on either side of his face.

He loses track of time for a minute or two; Seungmin is a surprisingly thorough kisser, lips firm and knowledgable in the way they move against his own. Felix could easily lose himself in this, could give himself over entirely to the way Seungmin tilts his head just right and takes over what was very much supposed to be a non-kiss prank.

And for a long moment, he does. He doesn’t know how long they stand there, kissing in the middle of his room on a random evening. The only thing that finally brings him out of that warm, hazy feeling is the sharp sensation of teeth digging into his bottom lip.

“Hey,” he yelps, rearing back and snapping his eyes open.

Seungmin smirks down at him, completely unfazed by the petulant glare Felix is giving him. He breaks Felix’s hold on his wrists easily, turning and walking to the door without a single word of explanation. Just as he reaches the doorframe, however, he pauses.

Turning to glance over his shoulder, he says, “You may want to stop the recording on your phone soon. Otherwise, it could get embarrassing for you.” With that, he smirks and leaves the room.

Felix stands there dumbly for a second or two as he processes the words, and then abruptly curses, voice echoing off the walls of his empty room. He has no idea what the fuck that was about, but he does know that he still doesn’t have a usable video.

💜

Seungmin closes Felix’s door gently behind himself, laughing silently at the colorful English cursing he can hear on the other side. So that’s what had him all tied up in knots during that meeting, he thinks.

He pulls away from the door, intent on retreating to the sanctuary of his own room before anyone (meaning Minho) catches him and puts him to work, when a wonderful, awful idea strikes him. He whips out his phone immediately.

*Seungmin added Chan, Minho, and 3 others to the group chat*
*Seungmin changed the group chat name to “A kiss, but down under”*

Jisung: okay, I’ll bite. What is with this group chat name?
Minho: Kim Seungmin, did you defile my kitten?
Chan: I may regret asking this, but what the hell is “a kiss down under?”
Innie: head
Changbin: dftydugk
Changbin: Yah, Yang Jeongin, where did you learn such things??
Innie: I know you old people may not be familiar with it, but we have this crazy thing called the “internet” nowadays. You can find all sorts of wild stuff on it
Minho: Ayen-ah, you better watch who you’re calling old
Seungmin: *ahem*
Minho: oh, he speaks
Seungmin: just here to let you know that the kitten has left the nest. You may brace yourselves accordingly
Changbin: why are we speaking in code?
Jisung: counterpoint–does Seungmin EVER say anything in a straightforward manner?
Seungmin: you wanna test me, Han Jisung?
Jisung: oh no. full name treatment
Seungmin: fine, if you all must INSIST on being boring
Chan: I’m okay with being boring
Seungmin: apparently, the TikTok Lix is trying to film is the trend where he attempts to kiss one of us, expecting to be pushed away. Obviously that’s not happening, so prepare yourselves
Jisung: oh yeah, that’s what he called me for the other day.
Changbin: what
Innie: WHAT
Jisung: 😏
Seungmin: ANYWAY, look alive, and be prepared
Seungmin: and for the love of all that is holy, do NOT add Hyunjin to this chat
Seungmin: I’m looking at you, squirrel boy
Jisung: do I look like I have a death wish??
Jisung: absolutely not, Jinnie knows nothing of this chat or this TikTok until he’s been kissed stupid
Jisung: well, stupidER
Jisung: and therefore is no longer a danger
Changbin: I don’t know if I’d ever qualify him as “not a danger”
Changbin: maybe just “less likely to eviscerate every one of us and take Lixie for himself”
Seungmin: alright, now that we’re all agreed
Seungmin: shut the hell up. It’s too late for this level of nonsense
Innie: YOU brought US here
Seungmin: and now I’m sending you away. Go forth and be productive
Seungmin: or not, I really don’t care

With that final message, Seungmin drops his phone on his nightstand, fully intent on ignoring the way it continues to buzz angrily. He hadn’t been kidding when he said it was too late for this nonsense–he has a whole evening routine to get to, after all, before Minho calls them out for dinner. A routine that just so happens to start with his allotted journaling time.

He’s been journaling for so long by now that he usually doesn’t have to think too hard about what he’s going to write. Keyword: usually. Today, all he can seem to think about is how Felix melted under his touch as he kissed him, soft and pliant just like he’d imagined. The little sighs Felix had let out were enough to make Seungmin eager to see what other sweet noises he could pull out of the other man, especially ones of a less…innocent nature. It had been all he could do to pull away and leave Felix alone with his thoughts, the way he knew he had to.

It was too early to try and push him. Seungmin was patient, he could wait, unlike certain other individuals.

Sighing, he attempts to clear his mind of the last few minutes. He can’t write about the kiss without sounding like some lovesick teenage girl writing about a crush in her diary.

He tries for another few minutes to come up with something else–anything else–to write about. And yet, he’s drawing blanks.

Ah, fuck it. It’s not like anyone else is ever going to read these.

Today, I kissed Lee Felix for the first time…

Chapter Text

Changbin grunts, dropping the heavy deadlift bar (carefully, of course) as soon as his rep is done. It’s a heavier weight than he’s done in weeks, but he’s clearly gotten lazy with his routine if Kim Seungmin beat him out for a kiss from Felix.

Sure, it’s Felix’s choice at the end of the day, but what does Seungmin have that Changbin doesn’t? He knows that Felix loves muscles, loves his muscles specifically. That’s why he’s always running his cute little hands down his arms, squeezing sweetly whenever he gets the chance.

And how could he ever forget that out of everyone he could have said, Felix had called him his ideal type during an interview? Sure, everyone had mostly assumed it was a joke, but there had to be some truth in it for Felix to have said it, right? Felix isn’t the type to say something like that for no reason, despite the way they all tease each other.

But then, why had Felix decided to try and kiss Seungmin first, before coming to Changbin (a betrayal of the highest order)? Had he changed his mind at some point? Is Changbin no longer his ideal type? The horror!

He groans, burying his face in his hands. Maybe he hasn’t been obvious enough about his admiration; he’ll have to fix that. But how?

The clock was ticking, and surely Felix would be moving down the list soon, to find someone else for his TikTok. So how could he convince his dongsaeng to come to him next?

Maybe instead of Felix always giving him a massage, Changbin could give him one instead. Felix had certainly seemed to enjoy himself on those days where he returned the favor, especially that one occasion while they were waiting to film their “My House” performance.

Sure, the ass-slap might have been a little self-indulgent, and something more in line with Minho’s usual shenanigans, but he can’t say he regretted it. And the way Felix had groaned as Changbin worked his muscles lives in the back of his mind, twenty-four/seven. Despite the camera trained very closely on them, he’d wanted nothing more than to reach forward and grasp those hands, the ones scrabbling for some kind of purchase on the padded floor, and maybe–

A buzz from his pocket cuts off his train of thought, and he both thanks and curses whoever just texted him. The thanks are for the fact that it gets his mind on something else and he doesn’t have to worry about hiding a boner in his loose gym shorts. The curse, because how dare they ruin his reminiscing about his sunshine.

His tune changes abruptly when he sees who the text is from, however.

Felix:
Hey hyung, can you come to my room, please? I really need your help with something

Felix:
It’s urgent

Changbin:
Of course, Bokkie, I’m on my way!

Changbin pockets his own, a massive grin spreading across his face. Looks like he might not have to work too hard to prove his intentions, after all. Though just to be safe, he prepares to plead his case on the off chance Felix is actually requesting him for a different reason. Maybe he really does need that back massage, after all? He’s been looking a little stiff lately.

Grabbing his duffle bag, Changbin races out of the gym, intent on making it to Felix’s room as quickly as possible. You know, just in case he changes his mind.

💜

Okay, so Seungmin was also a bust. Now what? Maybe he should have seen that one coming, because Seungmin always seems to find a way to be a menace. Though he’s certainly never been a menace like that.

Felix could still go to Innie for the video, since he’s pretty much a guaranteed rejection. But now he has a better idea, and he’s honestly shocked he didn’t come up with it sooner.

Technically, he’s gotten a kiss or two from Changbin before, but they’ve all been under duress and given with a lot of vocal disapproval. Surely his reaction will make for good content, especially because he’s always so loud.

On second thought, maybe that’s why Felix hasn’t gone to him yet. Because the others are sure to hear every word of his vehement denial of Felix’s affections. Which is only to be expected, he supposes.

No matter. Felix is running out of viable options, and Changbin is his next best bet. He just has to hope that his hyung will be gentle with him, even while rejecting him. For the first time, he wonders if maybe–just maybe–this TikTok was actually a bad idea.

He shakes his head, trying to rid it of the anxious thoughts. His Binnie wouldn’t be cruel to him, even as he pushes him away. That much he’s sure of. It just might end up being a little embarrassing.

Felix knows Changbin is at the gym currently, had heard him grumbling about needing to be even bulkier than he already is before leaving. Frankly, he didn’t understand why, considering the man was already plenty huge. Felix couldn’t even wrap both hands around one of his biceps at this point. Not that he was complaining, in any shape or form.

He pulls out his phone, typing up a message to Changbin before he can second-guess himself any longer.

Felix:
Hey hyung, can you come to my room, please? I really need your help with something

He goes to set down his phone before he realizes that it might be a while before Changbin even sees the message. And even if he does, he might be too busy and decide to keep going with whatever drawn-out routine he’s doing right now. So, maybe Felix should push a little harder. He hesitates, then types out another message.

Felix:
It’s urgent

He doesn’t even get the chance to lock his phone before the reply comes in, startling him. He didn’t think the other man would already have seen it, but he can’t deny the little thrill that runs down his spine at the thought that Binnie is taking him seriously.

Changbin:
Of course, Bokkie, I’m on my way!

While he’s waiting, Felix sets up his phone again, just like he had for Seungmin. It feels a little bit like déjà vu, but he shrugs it off–he knows he’s going to get a different outcome this time.

Surprisingly, it doesn’t take all that long before Felix hears someone thundering down the hall, and he has to bite back a giggle so he doesn’t give himself away too early as he presses “record” on his phone. Changbin bursts into the room in a flurry of movement, already talking a mile a minute.

“Yah, Yongbokkie, how can hyung help?” Felix moves in quickly, using his slight height advantage to lean in close to Changbin’s face. He closes his eyes and purses his lips, expecting a strong hand to stop him at any moment, despite the fact that he’s still talking. “Is it your back, do you need a–” To Felix’s utter surprise, Changbin’s sentence is only cut off when their mouths meet suddenly.

Strong, muscled arms wind their way around his waist, and Felix’s knees go a little weak with the way those arms squeeze him against Changbin’s firm body. When Changbin tilts his head to deepen the kiss, sliding his tongue carefully along the seam of Felix’s mouth, Felix parts his lips to grant him access. He accepts it graciously, coaxing Felix’s tongue to slide against his in a way that makes fire run down his spine.

Since his hyung has evidently lost his mind, Felix can’t help the way his hands come up to massage gently at his massive biceps. He won’t look a gift horse in the mouth, that’s for sure; he’ll take full advantage of the collective loss of sanity.

He doesn’t know how long it is before Changbin finally pulls back, though thankfully he doesn’t loosen his grip around Felix’s waist, because Felix is pretty sure that’s the only thing keeping him standing.

“Well, you certainly know how to greet your hyung properly, don’t you?” Changbin’s teasing words pull Felix back down to reality, and his cheeks flush immediately.

“I thought you were going to push me away, not kiss me back,” he protests.

Changbin’s eyebrows furrow. “Now why would I do that? Who in their right mind would turn down a kiss from you?”

“You, for one. You acted like the world was ending that time you had to kiss me on the cheek. Why wouldn’t I think that?”

“Ahh,” Changbin sighs. “That was on camera though, and in front of all those staff members. It would have looked weird if I was too excited about it.”

I was excited about it,” Felix grumbles. Changbin just grins at him, looking ridiculously fond.

“I’m sorry, Yongbokkie. Hyung is very willing and happy to kiss you. And I bet I’m not the only one, either; there’s a dramatic ferret and a very impatient fox who would certainly love to be where I am right now.”

Felix doesn’t want to think too hard about Changbin’s last sentence, in case his mind starts wandering into even more dangerous territory; but it’s become clear that another experiment has failed, and he’ll need to look elsewhere for his content. He sighs heavily, thoughts already racing without his permission. He slips out of Changbin’s hold and walks over to his phone to stop the recording.

On to plan D, it seems. He’s running out of options quickly, and he’s not really sure if he’s upset about that fact just yet.

Chapter Text

Jeongin couldn’t believe it; how could he possibly have been on his Lixie-hyung’s kiss list after Kim Seungmin? Seungmin doesn’t even flirt with Felix! Does Seungmin even know how to flirt? So much for maknae on top!

Had he not been obvious enough? How many JeongLix edits does one man need to send to get his pretty hyung to take the hint?

It is taking all his self-control and Minho’s threats to chop off half his dick (to which he replied it would still be bigger than most) to not storm over there and get his much-deserved kiss.

Well, he may not have been the first member Felix had kissed, but he definitely would be the best!

He had everything planned out: Minho was spending time with his best friend, Seungmin was visiting his parents, and he had made plans with Felix to have a movie night after his recording session. Almost everything was ready; he had picked up snacks, found the biggest and fluffiest blanket in the apartment, and had Lady and the Tramp queued up and ready for Felix’s return. He had even gone as far as setting up fairy lights around the snack table for ambiance, after they had turned up in several images under his Google searches for “romantic movie nights.”

He messages Felix to check where he is, and he gets a response back almost immediately that he is just down the road, grabbing some ice cream for them. Perfect! He lights the expensive scented candle he had “borrowed” from Hyunjin’s room the day before, sits himself on the couch, and pulls out his lip balm from his pocket and applies it. He has just put his lip balm back in his pocket when he hears the distinct beeping of the security pad on their door. Game on!

“Innie, we are home,” Felix calls out from the front foyer.

“In the living room, hyung,” he answers. Wait, did Felix say “we?”

His favorite hyung walks into the living room with a bag from the corner store and Jeongin smiles brightly at him, but the smile is short-lived as not even a second later, Seungmin enters the living room, too.

“Oh my gosh! This is so cozy, Innie, you are so cute!” Felix claps his hands in excitement. “I love Lady and the Tramp!

Jeongin can’t even concentrate on what he is saying because he is too busy glaring at Seungmin, who is slumped against the wall, laughing silently but visibly at the expression on his face.

“I’m just going to put this in the freezer, I will be right back,” Felix says as he heads to the kitchen.

“What are you doing here?” Jeongin whisper-yells at Seungmin while his fairy-like hyung is distracted.

“I live here,” Seungmin answers, voice dripping with his usual smugness.

“You know what I mean!” Innie responds in annoyance. “I called dibs on the apartment today, we had plans.”

“Clearly.” Seungmin grins, and Jeongin wants nothing more than to choke him.

Felix comes back in, and Jeongin makes sure to plaster on his best eye-smile.

“I am going to change into something more comfortable,” Felix announces. “You should, too, if you are joining us, Minnie.”

“I wouldn’t want to impose,” Seungmin says, eyes still on Jeongin, smug grin unwavering.

“Nonsense! You aren’t imposing. You don’t mind, right, Innie?” Felix smiles sweetly.

“Of course not,” Jeongin manages to get through gritted teeth, as he fake-smiles through the pain. “The more, the merrier.”

“See, Minnie? Let’s get changed quickly, and then maybe after the movie, we can even play a few rounds of Mario Kart,” Felix instructs Seungmin before disappearing into his own room.

The two youngest members stare each other down for a moment after his door closes, until Seungmin–unable to restrain himself any longer–starts laughing out loud.

“Who knew you were such a romantic, Ayen-ah,” he says, pulling his phone out to take a picture of the maknae glaring at him from the couch. “I can’t wait to tell the others about this.”

“You wouldn’t dare,” Innie threatens.

“I would, and I have,” Seungmin says smugly before he winks and turns to head into his room.

Jeongin hears his phone beep and curses to himself. From the multiple beeps that follow that first one, he knows that his hyungs have plenty of opinions on his setup. He can only be grateful that at least Hyunjin (who still doesn’t know about the “borrowed” candle) and Felix aren’t in the new chat.

He puts his phone on silent without checking the messages, because he refuses to waver from his quest.

He can still do this, even with Seungmin home, he decides with determination. And if he can’t, then at least Felix will make an excellent alibi when he murders Kim Seungmin.

                                   💜

Felix is cuddled up to Jeongin on the couch when the movie ends, cooing over how Lady and Tramp’s children are just like the Dragon line to Seungmin, when the youngest excuses himself to go to the bathroom.

“Oh, okay,” Felix says as he sits up to allow Jeongin to go, slightly disappointed to lose the warmth and comfort of his body.

As soon as the bathroom door closes behind the maknae, Seungmin gets up to set up their Nintendo Switch to play Mario Kart.

“You should film your TikTok with Innie today,” Seungmin advises as he is putting the game into the system.

“What?” Felix is taken by the sudden suggestion. “But…you are here, and we are having such a good night.”

“Exactly. I am here, so he is more likely to think it’s a joke and give you the reaction you want,” Seungmin says, with a twinkle in his eye that makes Felix nervous.

“That does make sense.”

“Don’t worry, I can film it for you,” Seungmin offers.

“But how will I even initiate it without it being awkward?” Felix pouts.

Seungmin sighs and rolls his eyes. “I swear I have to do everything around here. Just follow my lead.”

“Okay,” he agrees, not entirely sure what he is agreeing to.

When Innie comes back from the bathroom, he grabs his controller and returns to his position on the couch, moving Felix back into his lap.

Felix can’t deny that his heart flutters at just how easily their youngest can pick him up and reposition him. He relaxes back against Jeongin’s chest.

“Mmmm, you smell nice, Innie. Did you put cologne on?” he asks, turning to nuzzle and sniff the shirt the youngest is wearing.

“No!” Jeongin is quick to deny. “I smell like this all the time.”

Felix is so busy getting comfortable that he misses the mischievous grin on Seungmin’s face or the way Jeongin scowls at him.

“Before we start, Felix has said that whoever wins the most races tonight will get a special prize,” Seungmin announces as he starts the game.

“I did?!” Felix asks, confused, and is met with a nod and a raised eyebrow from Seungmin. “Ohhhh, yes I did, a special prize.” He nods in agreement when he realizes Seungmin’s plan.

“Then I better win, I guess,” Jeongin responds, his competitiveness always ready to make an appearance.

An hour and a half and several games later, Jeongin and Seungmin are tied.

“Final game to determine the winner!” Jeongin declares. “Felix-hyung, you choose the race track.”

Felix picks his favorite track, and he can feel the tension in the room as the game starts. They are both neck and neck for the majority of the race, trading leads. Felix finds himself biting his bottom lip in nervousness as they start the final lap, Seungmin in the lead. Just as they make the final turn into the finish line, Jeongin sends out a blue shell and blows Seungmin up, racing past him to the finish line.

“I win! Suck on that, Kim Seungmin!” Jeongin yells in victory and jolts Felix out of place in his joy, almost dropping him to the floor.

“Okay, okay, you win.” Seungmin raises his hand in defeat. “I guess you get the prize.”

“Hah! Yes I do! In your face.” Jeongin pokes his tongue out at Seungmin.

“Well then, give him his prize, Lixie.” Seungmin grins. “He deserves it.”

“Right!” Felix stands, takes a deep breath, and turns to straddle Jeongin’s lap.

“Huh?” The youngest looks confused for a second, though his hand instinctively wraps around his hyung’s waist. “What is the prize?”

“This,” Felix whispers, as he takes Jeongin’s face in his hands and moves forward to connect their lips.

It doesn’t take Jeongin nearly as much time to adjust to the surprise of being kissed as the others, Felix realizes. In fact, he finds himself surprised when, as soon as their lips meet, Jeongin smiles into the kiss and lifts him up just enough to place him on his back on the couch with the youngest lying on top of him, all without disconnecting their lips.

The kiss is hungry from the start; bruising, intense. Jeongin moves like a man starved and Felix is a three-course meal. The maknae pulls away just for a moment to smirk–being the little shit that he is–before nipping at Felix’s bottom lip and going back for seconds.

When Jeongin does finally come up properly for air, he still has Felix’s bottom lip in his teeth and has the audacity to wink down at him before letting it go.

“Well that was fun.” Jeongin sits up, smiling. “You taste good, hyung.”

Felix cannot find words for what just happened; he opens his mouth and closes it several times while trying to articulate something, anything.

“What’s the matter, Lixie-hyung? Fox got your tongue?” the youngest remarks, a little too proudly.

“I hope this means I am now forgiven for ruining your little date," Seungmin says from the armchair he is sitting on.

When Felix turns to look behind himself to where Seungmin is sitting, he can see that his phone is out recording, as promised.

“Yah! Kim Seungmin, stop filming us! This is an embarrassing position to be in; and what date?”

“I don’t know, hyung. I find you very cute in this position,” Jeongin smirks. “Personally, I look forward to seeing you in it more often.”

Graciously, Jeongin does move off and helps him sit up, despite his comments to the contrary.

“You really are so innocent sometimes, Lixie,” Seungmin laughs. “Fairy lights, comfort movie, scented candle…” he points out, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world; and really, now that Felix thinks about it, it should have been.

“Was this a date, Innie?” He turns to the youngest for confirmation, cheeks tinted pink.

“No,” the maknae sing-songs. “But the next one can be, if you want.”

Felix squeaks and gets up to run into his room. He slams the door shut, but he can still hear the two menaces laughing in the living room.

He catches a glimpse of himself in his bedroom mirror and gasps at his bruised lips and tousled hair. He throws himself face-first onto his bed and groans at how much he liked all of it.

Well, this experiment has been a failure of epic proportions, and everything he expected to happen has been turned entirely on its head. He feels like he’s free-falling without a net.

He needs someone to catch him. He needs Hyunjin.

Chapter Text

There’s something weird going on around here, Hyunjin just knows it. The others have been sneaking around for the past few days, laughing at something on their phones that they won’t show him. Normally, if it’s just one or two of them, he’d shrug it off. But it’s practically all of them, short of Felix and Chan.

Then again, he hasn’t really seen much of Felix, either. So he could be doing it too, for all he knows. Every time Hyunjin has asked, he’s been busy with another member, which isn’t that far-fetched, even if the two of them usually still find time for each other within their usual schedule constraints. So on top of all the weird behavior from the rest of the group, he’s having Felix withdrawals.

He’s about two minutes away from breaking into the other dorm, throwing Felix over his shoulder, and retreating to his own room with a firmly-locked door when he finally gets a text from the man in question, asking if he could come over.

Thank god, he thinks. Minho-hyung would have killed me if I broke anything. He looks around his room quickly, making sure it’s not too messy. He’s usually a decently-tidy person, but sometimes he gets so tied up in a project that he doesn’t pay attention to what he’s throwing where.

Satisfied with the state of his room, he goes into the living room to wait for Felix. He doesn’t know what the other boy has in mind, but he’s open to anything. He always is, when it comes to his angel.

The others all know exactly how pathetically soft he is for Felix, of course, and never cease to torment him about it any chance they get. And yet, Hyunjin can’t ever bring himself to really mind it, especially when he’s rewarded with one of those huge, blinding smiles or sweet hugs.

A soft knock on the door startles him just a little, despite being the exact thing he was waiting for. He waits for a moment, expecting Felix to punch in the keycode and enter like he normally does. But when the door remains shut, Hyunjin gets up and walks towards the entryway with a slight frown.

He opens the front door, surprised to see the way Felix is wringing his hands together, biting his bottom lip like he always does when he’s nervous.

“Angel? Is everything okay?” Hyunjin asks gently, moving out of the way for the shorter man to slide past him into the apartment.

“Yeah, everything’s fine, Jinnie. My head’s just in a really weird place right now; and I…I have a weird request, I guess.” Felix doesn’t go very far, stopping just inside the living room. “Promise you won’t get mad at me, no matter what?”

“I could never be mad at you, Lixie,” Hyunjin says as he joins him. “Now, what is it that you need?”

Felix just stares up at him with wide eyes for another moment before setting his jaw, appearing to come to some conclusion. Before Hyunjin can open his mouth to ask anything else, Felix lunges forward, wraps his arms around Hyunjin’s neck, and tugs his head down far enough that he can connect their lips in a sudden kiss.

Hyunjin freezes. What the fuck is happening? Did he die and go to heaven without realizing it? Because he can’t think of any other reason why his Felix–his precious angel–would suddenly be kissing him out of nowhere. This is everything he’s ever dreamed about, late at night when he’s lying in bed by himself, wondering if he’ll ever get the chance to show his love openly.

He’s so lost in his shock that this is finally–finally–happening that he forgets he hasn’t reacted until he feels the arms around his neck loosen, and Felix pulls back a little. His heart lurches at the sad tilt of his mouth and the very-faint tears in the corners of his eyes.

No, no, no! Shit, he forgot to kiss back, and now Felix thinks he doesn’t want this. He needs to fix it, now.

💜

After the way the others had turned his expectations on their heads, Felix supposes he shouldn’t be surprised that Hyunjin would also follow that pattern. And yet…he can’t help the disappointment that burns in his belly as he draws back.

He thought that he’d been reading all the signs correctly, especially after some of the sly comments by the other members, and in the back of his mind, he’d been so sure that Hyunjin would actually kiss him back. He’d been so sure, in fact, that he didn’t bother to set up the camera, because this was supposed to be something that couldn’t be shared.

How ironic, he supposes. Though it’s not like Hyunjin really pushed him back, either, so it wouldn’t have worked for his video in any case. A resounding failure on all counts.

But before he can step back and attempt to salvage a friendship that he’s surely ruined, he’s startled by the feeling of a long arm wrapping all the way around his waist, while a large hand curls around the nape of his neck.

He blinks up at Hyunjin, who’s looking down at him with fire in his eyes, though he only gets a second to see him before the taller man is diving down to press their lips together again, much more firmly than Felix had attempted only a few seconds earlier.

Felix’s confusion lasts for another moment or two, until there’s a tongue tracing his top lip; then he simply melts. He opens his mouth just a little, meeting that probing tongue with his own in tentative movements. The hand braced against the back of his head tightens, tugging on his hair a little and pulling out a soft groan from his mouth along with it.

Hyunjin pauses for a split second before letting out a soft sound of his own, pulling Felix more firmly against him as he slides his hand up, tangling it in Felix’s hair. He tugs again, gently, and Felix gasps. Hyunjin swallows the sound greedily.

When they finally are forced to part in order to breathe, Hyunjin doesn’t let him get very far as he trails an insistent path down Felix’s jaw and neck with his lips. He eventually settles with his head in the crook of Felix’s shoulder, mouth only centimeters away. Every panting breath he takes flutters against the sensitive skin of Felix’s neck, and he barely resists the urge to shudder.

“You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to do that, Angel,” he says, voice raspy in a way that sends lightning down Felix’s spine.

“Yeah?” He’s going for teasing, but his voice hitches at the feeling of another soft kiss being pressed against his neck. “How–how long?”

“Since the beginning,” Hyunjin whispers. He keeps up with the faint, tender kisses as he speaks, making Felix’s knees wobble just a little bit. He has to really concentrate to hear what Hyunjin is saying. “You came into the practice room, all decked out in your gold jewelry and your big watch, and I just…I wanted you. And then I got to know you, and that feeling’s just gotten stronger every single day since.”

“Jinnie…” he starts, heart racing from the wave of mixed emotions that hits him. Hyunjin lifts his head to look at him.

“I’m not asking for everything, not all the time,” he says quickly, cutting off Felix’s attempt at explaining. “I know that you have feelings for the other members as well, so I know that as much as I would want to, I can’t have you all to myself.”

Felix pauses, mouth open in shock. “What?”

Hyunjin hesitates, clearly taken aback. “‘What’ to which part? The fact that you love the other members as well, or that I can’t have you to myself?”

“All of it, I suppose,” Felix says faintly. “I didn’t…really think about it before. I was too caught up in filming for TikTok, and then it all spiraled out of control and all I could think was that I needed you, and then I was here, kissing you.”

“For the sake of my sanity, I’m deciding not to ask what the hell you were filming for TikTok that landed you here, kissing me. But Angel, really, you haven’t thought about this before? You haven’t noticed the way any of us look at you?”

“No…not really,” Felix admits, somehow a little ashamed.

Hyunjin seems to pick up on that, though, and pulls him into a gentle hug. “Hey, none of that. It’s alright, no one is mad or upset about it.”

“Not even you?”

Especially not me. I was always happy to be whatever you needed me to be, just happy to be here with you, doing this thing we love. Though obviously, I would also love if we were something more.”

“Does–” Felix swallows nervously, trying to get the words out. “Does it make me a bad person, that I like everyone in the group?”

Hyunjin looks down at him, eyes soft. “Angel, you are not a bad person. You love; that’s what you do. It’s not a surprise at all that you can manage to love more than one person, not to anybody who knows you.”

“Well yeah, but…won’t that cause problems?”

“I won’t lie and say I don’t get jealous, because you deserve the truth. But we all know exactly who you are, we know how loving you are, and we’d never want you to be anything but yourself.”

“But–”

“Felix.” Hyunjin is serious now, looking straight at him with determination. “I think I can confidently say that any one of us would respect your decision either way, but if you’re worried about us…well, I’d rather have you at least some of the time than not at all. That’s all I need.”

Felix stands there for a moment, stunned. He hadn’t entirely thought this whole thing through before he came over, that’s for sure; he just knew that Hyunjin was usually the one that helped him put words to his feelings, would sit with him and let him talk it out even if it was in English and he didn’t understand.

But now he’s reached a point where every single thought is clashing in his head, none of them clear or coherent. He needs someone to help him sort them out.

He needs Chan.

Pulling away from Hyunjin’s tight grip, he plants one more sweet kiss on Hyunjin’s lips before he heads for the door. Before he leaves, he turns around one last time, just to see Hyunjin collapse onto the couch, fingers pressed to his smiling lips.

Felix giggles to himself as he slips out the door. Six down, one to go.

Chapter Text

Felix admits that when he started on his quest the other day, he had not expected even one kiss, let alone six. His skin is still buzzing from where Hyunjin’s lips had trailed it less than half an hour ago, and now he’s on a mission to find the one man who could help lift the fog surrounding his brain.

He steps out of the car into the cool night air and stares up at the JYPE building. He needs his Chan-hyung.

He enters the building and follows the all-too-familiar path to the 3racha studio, where he knows their leader is working late putting the finishing touches to their latest album. The album was done, he didn’t need to be here; but Chan is a perfectionist and he never stops working until the album is released and there is no more to be done.

The low glow of Chan’s overhead desk light radiates through the studio door as Felix approaches. When he reaches the door, he peeks in and sees his hyung thankfully isn’t wearing headphones.

He knocks gently and waits, fingers tracing his lips and all of the ghosts of the last few days.

“Come in,” he hears through the door.

He pushes the door open and slowly enters the room.

“Chris,” he murmurs softly, almost quiet enough that he’s afraid the other man won’t hear him. But he shouldn’t have worried.

Chan stops what he is doing immediately and turns to face him, face lit up with the smile that Felix has come to think of as home.

“Ah, hello little one, I’ve been expecting you.”

Without much thought, Felix flies the short distance between them and is on his lap in a heartbeat, arms tightly circling his neck. He allows himself just to be still for a moment, breathing in the scent of his hyung’s cologne as Chan traces soothing circles across his back.

After a long moment, he pulls away to look at his hyung and loses his breath at the sheer magnitude of emotions looking back at him. Chan brings the hand not circling his waist up to cup the side of his face, and he allows himself to close his eyes and nestle against it.

When a thumb traces over his bottom lip, he opens his eyes and finds his hyung still looking fondly at him, eyes asking a silent question.

He doesn’t answer; he doesn’t need to. He simply brings his lips down to Chan’s and presses the faintest of kisses there.

It is all the permission their leader needs to slide the hand holding his face to the nape of his neck and chase his lips.

He finds that in kissing, unlike in all other aspects of his life, Chan allows himself to take. He takes Felix’s breath away, steals every small sound Felix makes lost in his lips, allows himself to hold his little one in place until he himself is breathless and has had his fill.

Felix is dizzy in the knowledge that his hyung wants him, that his hyung would let himself have him.

When they pull away, Chan is giddy and Felix is impossibly in love with the way that if it weren’t for Felix in his lap, his hyung would surely be kicking his feet right now in happiness.

“Wow,” is all he manages in response for a long time as he regains his bearings.

“Wow,” Chan echoes.

“What was that for?” he finally manages, though there is more weight to that question than he is able to verbalize.

“Is that not why you are here?” Chan teases.

“What do you mean?”

“Where is your camera, Lixie?” Chan asks.

Felix looks down at his phone in his hand, and Chan follows his gaze.

“I guess I never did give you the chance to set it up,” Chan concedes, and it takes a long minute for realization to dawn on Felix.

“How did you know?” he asks, eyes wide with surprise.

“Well, a little birdie may have told me that our kitten has been making the rounds and kissing all our members,” Chan laughs. Felix studies his face and finds no judgment there, but he still feels a flash of embarrassment.

“As the official chicken of our team, I am the only bird you know. Though there is a puppy I may need to kill later,” he mumbles as he blushes.

“Possibly a quokka, fox, and dwaekki, too,” Chan adds, finding a little too much joy in snitching. “In their defense, I am the leader. I do need to know… most things, that is.”

“I knew I could only trust Danceracha.” Felix rolls his eyes.

“Well, Changbin says Hyunjin is still lying on our couch, staring aimlessly at the ceiling with a dopey smile on his face, which is where he has been since you left. Though I am sure that once he recovers, there will not be a soul on earth who will be safe from him shouting his love for you from the rooftops. But you are right about Minho; the man would never kiss and tell.”

“You aren’t mad that you were last?” He can only bring himself to ask the question in a whisper, afraid of the answer.

“I am sure you had your reasons for it, little one,” Chan reassures, taking his hand to stop it fidgeting with his sleeve and intertwining their fingers instead.

“I guess…I knew deep down that you wouldn’t push me away.” Even if he hadn’t been ready to acknowledge it, Felix knows the truth of that statement.

Chan indulges himself once more and leans up to kiss him. It's short and sweet this time, but still leaves Felix dizzy with emotion.

“And you were right; I could never deny you or myself this,” Chan says, as he lifts Felix’s hand to brush his lips over his knuckles.

“But hyung, everyone kissed me back.”

This wasn’t at all how it was supposed to go; they all were meant to push him away, tell him they were just friends, that he wanted too much.

“Well yeah, baby, who in their right mind would refuse a kiss from you?” Chan responds, like it is the only answer possible to that question.

“What does this mean?” he asks, scared of the answer, but needing to know all the same.

“We will have to figure that out together as a group, but I can tell you now that I want everything with you, and I don’t think I am alone in that. Does that scare you?”

“No.” The answer is immediate and comes with the same ease as breathing.

After all, Felix has never been scared to love.

Chan adds the last touches on the final song and sighs with relief, standing up to stretch out his aching back. He turns his laptop off and places it in his backpack, grabbing his phone so that they can head home.

When he turns to wake Felix, he is taken aback by just how beautiful he is lying there, and can’t help but stop and take a picture.

He checks the time: 1 am. He looks at the picture again and decides it is worth any potential wrath from Minho if he wakes him.

*Chan changed the group chat name to “Kissracha”*
*Chan added Hyunjin*

Hyunjin: What the hell? Why is there a whole chat without me?

*Chan sent a picture*

Hyunjin: an angel
Changbin: our sunshine
Innie: pretty hyung
Jisung: my baby
Seungmin: baby chick
Minho: Bang Christopher Chan! You are lucky my kitten is cute, are you trying to die?

Chan laughs fondly at the members’ responses and then turns his attention back to the sleeping blond curled up on the sofa of the studio.

Chan: family meeting, our dorm 11 am tomorrow. We need to talk about this

He sighs, pocketing his phone. They were all a bunch of simps for their angel; not that he could judge, as he wasn’t any better.

“Little one.” He strokes Felix’s cheek gently to wake him. “It's time to go home.”

Felix stirs and sits up slowly, and even with the zipper imprint on his cheek from Chan’s jacket that he’d used as a pillow, he looks angelic to Chan.

“Chris,” Felix says, his voice the deep honey tone he gets right after waking, the one that sends shivers down all their spines. There’s just a little bit of a whine at the end, though, which sets Chan into motion immediately. He gets up from his chair and moves to the sofa, pulling Felix into his arms.

“I am here, baby,” he says soothingly.

“It was real, I wasn’t dreaming.” Felix melts into his side.

“It was real, and I love you,” Chan agrees, before kissing his forehead. “I am in love with you; we all are.”

“Is it not too much, hyung? To get to have all of you…” Felix whispers into the quiet studio.

“Is that why you chose this TikTok challenge, little one? Because you thought it was too much? You wanted us to push you away and reject you, so that you would stop feeling like you wanted too much?”

Felix pulls away from him, his mouth open, cheeks pink, and eyes as big as an owl’s; and that is all the answer Chan needs.

He laughs, heartily and without restraint, pulling the blond to his chest.

“Baby, I am sure Hyunjin would watch the world burn for you, Changbin spends hours at the gym so that you have muscles to paw at, Innie and Seungmin—who only tolerate the rest of us—adore you. Jisung and Minho are each willing to share their soulmate with you and I…I would pull the moon from the night sky if you asked, because you have already given me the sun.”

Felix is crying now, but the smile on his face says they are happy tears, and Chan promises himself—right there in the darkness of the studio—that he would ensure those were the only tears his beloved would ever cry.

“I am in love with you, too; all of you,” Felix confesses.

“Good.” Chan kisses his cute little nose. “That's all that’s important. We can work the rest out together. Now, let’s get you home before I have an angry mama cat after me.”

Tomorrow, they would have to talk about all the feelings they have all avoided saying out loud and discuss what happens next. He would also need to find a way to convince their PD-nim to give Siwoo and Jia a much-deserved raise, because heaven knows they owed them that much after all their antics.

Tonight, however, he would allow himself to just cuddle his baby to sleep, and bask in the knowledge that at least now they were sure he loved them as much as they loved him.
