Chapter Text
The glorious lineage of House Vegeta can be traced back to Age 550 of the known timeline. For many years prior, a civil war among the Saiyan race left their home planet Sadala destroyed and inhabitable. One brave warrior led his people into the darkness of space and found refuge on the scientific world of Planet Plant. This man would be remembered as a hero, honored with the title of King Vegeta the First.
With the Saiyans all but extinct throughout the universe, King Vegeta I insured the survival of his subjects with the help of the technologically advanced native species, the Tuffles: also called Tsufruians in their native language. Saiyans grew in number, size, and strength; training under the planet's intense gravity which kept the Tuffles small and weak. With their savior's shrewdness, the Saiyans kept their true power a secret. King Vegeta I perished in Age 649 at 124 years old. His people mourned him greatly as passing in his sleep, but palace intrigue whispered that he was slain by his son, King Vegeta the Second. The prince was already 60 years old at the time of his coronation and said to be an impatient man.
King Vegeta II was not the shrewd man his father was, instead pushing for more power over the years. With his band of warriors, the Saiyans tried for more control over Planet Plant but were defeated by the technology of the Tuffles. It wasn't until Age 720 that Saiyans struck a major blow, inciting a 10 year civil war which burned the world. The full moon, only appearing in orbit every 100 years, granted the rebels the power of the Great Ape. King Vegeta II perished during the conflict, proudly fighting in his old age and desperate for his father's recognition. He was succeeded by his son King Vegeta the Third, then 33 years old, who won the war in age 730. Planet Plant was renamed Planet Vegeta, in honor of the new ruler's grandfather.
The revolution was not unnoticed by the universe at large. Immediately, King Cold arrived to subjugate the Saiyan people and conscript them to serve in his army of intergalactic warmongers. The next year, King Cold retired from activity, gifting his younger son his empire and dubbing them the Frieza Force. In Age 732, King Vegeta III and his Queen bore their first son: Prince Vegeta, fourth of his name. His birth was an act of defiance, believing that one day the Legendary Super Saiyan would be realized and free the slaves from Lord Frieza's grasp. A second son, Tarble, was born in Age 736 to double their chances.
In Age 737, while Vegeta and Tarble were off world on conquest missions with others, Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta for fear of the Super Saiyan. King Vegeta III led a rebellion of Saiyans against Frieza on the final day, but died alongside the vast majority of his race. His Queen's name and fate were lost to history.
Prince Vegeta had been raised for the first 5 years of his life hearing tales of his lineage's pride and bravery. Yet for the next 25 years he was brought up as Frieza's pawn, continuing to conquer planets for profit alongside his Saiyan comrades. Prince Tarble, being of a low power level, was forgotten: or allowed to exist on a distant planet in peace. He is known to have married a being of an alien species called Gure. It is unknown if they have produced any progeny.
Following his arrival to Planet Earth in 762, Prince Vegeta, now known as Vegeta, would make this world his new home and formed bonds with the humans. After losing his previous comrades, Raditz and Nappa, he believed that Kakarot, a Saiyan raised on Earth, was the only other full blooded member of the Saiyan race. In Age 763: Vegeta, Kakarot, and others brought down the Frieza Force on Planet Namek. In the ensuing years, Vegeta took for his bride a woman of great acclaim on Earth. Bulma Briefs was a brillant inventor, scientist, and the CEO of Capsule Corporation.
In Age 766, Vegeta and Bulma welcomed their firstborn child Trunks into the world. Although his Saiyan pride called for his heir to be named after his forefathers, Vegeta believed that without a throne to promise his son, the princely title was worthless. Vegeta's mind took many years to rehabilitate, as did his relationship with his wife. In Age 780, a second child was born into his house: a daughter named Bulla. Trunks worked tirelessly to become a mighty warrior worthy of his father's admiration. Meanwhile, he also trained his mind and succeeded his mother as CEO of Capsule Corp. Bulla, on the other hand, was raised in an era of relative peace. She enjoyed the spoils of her loving father and received little to no fight training.
In Age 790, Trunks and his wife gave birth to a son named Boxer. The next year, they had a daughter named Garta. Vegeta gravitated towards the only boy among his grandchildren. For all the coldness he showed Trunks growing up, Vegeta spent double the amount of time with Boxer. The young man grew up to be tall and muscular like his father, with dark Saiyan hair falling to his shoulders. Garta looked up to her older brother, developing a fit physique and wearing her purple hair short and spiky. The old prince, now in his 60s, raised his only grandson with tales of Saiyan pride and taught him to be a fighter. In Age 801, Bulla and her husband bore twin girls into the family: Camisole and Corsette. The twins grew up girly like their mother, one playful and the other more mischievous.
In Age 817, Garta gave birth to a daughter: Bustle. It was the first and only great-grandchild Vegeta would witness. After the death of his wife Bulma in Age 818: Vegeta, the Prince of All Saiyans, left Earth. It is believed, though unconfirmed, that he became and still acts as the God of Destruction in the universe.
Many branches of Saiyan blood came from the tree of House Vegeta. In 820, Boxer's daughter Nyx was born. Also born that year was Garta's son Jox. Nyx and Jox grew up as combative rivals. In 824, Camisole gave birth to a son named Tank and Corsette gave birth to a son named Tong. It was often said for Tank and Tong, the intelligence gene of the Briefs family was divided between their twin mothers, and neither passed it onto their sons. In 827, Corsette gave birth to twins, a boy named Gees and a girl named String. One was never seen without the other. In 829, Camisole gave birth to a daughter named Bustier. She was a romantic. In 830, Camisole gave birth to a son named Lonjon. It was noted how much he resembled his ancestor Vegeta, short in stature and temper.
By the 850s and 860s, there were dozens of children who descended from Prince Vegeta 100 years after his arrival on Earth. In Age 859, Lonjon and his wife gave birth to their third child: a daughter named Bulma Leigh. To name a child after a deceased relative was the highest honor. One had to live up to a name of greatness. And in a line of human-Saiyan hybrids, the power scale was always increasing. Bulma Leigh was named, in part, after the matriarch of the family. She and her generation of relatives and friends helped saved the universe from a dire threat. And it was more than enough to earn her the greatest prize of their legacy.
In Age 880, Bulma Leigh gave birth to a son named Vegeta Jr, fifth of his name and descendant of the Prince of All Saiyans.
