With Joe's blessing, Nicky invited Nile to have a look in one of their old storages to see if she could find anything she could use for her room to make her feel more at home.
Nile loved everything she saw because there was stuff from all kinds of ages. So far, Nile had found some old candlesticks with a big dent in one of them from the 17th century. When Nile asked about the dent, Nicky told her she had to ask Andy what happened the night she ate dinner with William Shakespeare. She had also found some old blankets from the 1970s, pictures and an old armchair from the 1920s, which Nicky promised to show her how to put on new fabric if she didn't like the green fabric.
Nile ventured a bit further back into the storage to have a look. Suddenly, Nicky heard Nile make a noise, and he went to have a look.
"Nile?" Nicky asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Nile replied. "I didn't know you owned a Vespa."
Nicky turned the corner and saw the Vespa. He actually thought it was in another storage.
"Is this an original one?" Nile asked as she took a closer look at the Vespa. "And does it drive?"
"Yes, it is an original one, and we last used it sometime back in the 1980s, so I don't know if it drives anymore," Nicky replied. "We had to leave it behind because of some events I would rather forget all about."
"Fair enough," Nile replied. "I always wanted to try out a Vespa. Can I have a try?"
"You have to ask Joe about that," Nicky replied. "It belongs to him."
Nile smiled.
"It does sound like something he would do," Nile said. It made Nicky raise an eyebrow. "What I mean is, it is a romantic idea to drive your Love around on a Vespa in Rome."
"Now I understand," Nicky replied. "But you got it wrong, Nile. Joe didn't buy the Vespa. It was me who did it."
"Really?" Nile asked. "Why did you buy the Vespa?"
Nicky smiled.
"I will tell you that once we are done here," Nicky replied. "Because a good story will make the drive back to the safe house feel shorter."
It was more than fine with Nile. While Nile took one final look around the storage, Nicky decided to take the Vespa with him now that they had the truck with them.
