Work Text:
On a random day like this, In-woo knows he won't be well today. He can feel the strange heaviness seeping inside him.
Fuck, it's one of those days.
He has been staring at the half-empty whiskey cup on his mahogany desk with the reports sprawling open for him to review.
In-woo has zero to no energy at all to do anything; it's one of those days where he feels as if he isn't worth the oxygen. Unusual, ain't it?
He hasn't had one of his episodes with the help of his husband, Dong-sik. But strange enough, he has never opened up a conversation about his episodes.
His skin feels hot. The suit is burning him. Everything around him is suffocating him.
And suddenly, his stomach started churning. Yeah, he should have known he shouldn't be here once he tasted how nasty the usually delicious breakfast on his tongue.
He needed to get out of here, ASAP. He can't breathe. Everything around him is suffocating him.
In-woo gathered his stuff and exited his office, rushing to his car parked in the basement of the building. Fuck, he doesn't even know what's causing him to crash out this badly.
As soon as he entered his car, he could finally breathe. Surrounded by the familiar scent of Dong-sik managed to soothe him.
He glanced over to the phone screen only to see the date. No wonder. It's his mom's death anniversary.
It's been too long. He's still facing difficulty with trying to keep himself sane.
In-woo grabbed the half-empty bottle of mineral water and chugged it down before starting the engine and driving back to his penthouse.
Fortunately, he arrived home in one piece cause he wasn't sure if he could see the road or if it was all just his illusion.
He dropped everything, his bag, his phone, his clothes.
And he's just naked, in the shower while the water's running.
"Fuck.." He muttered softly, he could barely form a word, his mouth was too dry.
Is he finally dying? He's trembling and his eyes begin to twitch.
He feels lightheaded, almost dizzy.

He still couldn't rub away the bitterness in his tongue. Maybe fighting with In-woo this morning isn't the best idea. They were arguing about another mundane thing and it caused In-woo to storm off.
But Dong-sik feels something doesn't right in his guts, In-woo.
Throughout his whole day, he can't even pull a decent smile due to how stressed he is. He couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling deep inside him.
The argument kept replaying in his head, repeating it like a broken cassette tape. He tried to analyze what happened this morning.
His manager has been busting his ears about upcoming projects with other companies as his debut novel was such a big success.
His words flew past him as he thought too hard. Something ain't right and he will have to point it out.
The way In-woo's face scrunched up after eating breakfast, his rather twitchy hands, his red face, and how he isn't talking much during the argument.
Holy shit.
Is this his husband we're talking about?
His grip on the steering wheel tightened, starting the engine to the car.
Suddenly, a familiar tone started playing. Dong-sik's eyes averted to the abandoned phone only to see, the contact 'Assistant Jo Yujin'.
He picked up the phone.
"Hello, Ms. Jo?" He greeted the woman.
"Hello, Mr. Yook. I'm sorry for contacting you in this busy hour but I think something is wrong with Director Seo." She replied hurriedly, possibly from running.
He couldn't believe what he was listening to. Something is wrong with In-woo?!
His heartbeat fastens, fuck holy shit.
"W-what's the matter, Ms. Jo?" Dong-sik fled out of the parking space onto the busy road. Fuck, please.
"I couldn't contact him and the receptionist told me that he was rushing to his car, possibly to drive back. Mr. Yook, please. Please can you check up on him?" The woman begged from the other end.
Of fucking course, he will be checking on the ravenette.
Today is his mother's death anniversary and he isn't likely to go to the grave alone.
He drove as fast as he could without breaking any road laws. Once he saw the familiar building in sight, he jumped out of his car right after parking.
He ran as fast as he could. Please be okay, please be okay please be okay please be okay please be okay please be okay please be okay please be okay please be okay please be okay.
Once he walked in, he noticed the clothes scattered on the marble floor. He's here.
He searched for the man everywhere and ended up spotting a naked, shaking In-woo in the shower and immediately ran to his aid.
He grasped the male, waking him out of whatever he was doing. He looked at the male, his eyes twitching.
Is he.. is this a panic attack?
He pulled In-woo in for a hug, not minding the shower still running. His fingers work wonders on In-woo, his fingers dug into the male's black locks, gently comforting the male.
"Shh.. chagi.. I'm here.."

After drying him off, Dong-Sik gently pulled In-woo onto the bed continuously offering sweet words and promises to comfort him.
In-woo nestled in Dong-Sik's arms, hugging himself and leaning against him as if he were his lifeline.
Dong-Sik wrapped him in a duvet, showering him with kisses on his cheeks, forehead, and hands—anywhere he could reach.
"Hyung, since when have you had this happen to you?" Dong-Sik asked as his fingers made their way into the latter's black locks, gently tugging it a few times.
In-woo grumbled. He stayed silent for a while, and Dong-Sik cut him off.
"It's fine if you don't want to tell me, hyung.." He said, quietly. In-woo rolled his eyes at his husband's antique.
"Since Mom's death. It got so bad that I was hospitalized for a week."
"When Mom was announced dead, I couldn't eat or sleep, I felt lightheaded most of the time and I feel like my heart was about to jump out of my chest."
"Chairman found me in that condition and sent me to the ER, thank god it's nothing bad."
"Otherwise, you and I wouldn't be together," Dong-Sik added which made In-woo chuckle, pinching the latter's hand slightly.
Dong-Sik yelped in pain, what a drama queen!
"It's all fine now, after sessions of therapies and medications. Plus you being here, married to me, I don't face it that much anymore."
"Thank you, Sik-ah. Really."
Dong-Sik's face lit up, almost like the sun. His sun. And In-woo is his moon. Both need each other to function.
"Heh, you don't have to say thank you to me, chagi..!" He blushed with his pearly white teeth still on display, In-woo know he must be proud.
Dong-Sik, Dong-Sik.
What a fool. My fool.
"I love you, chagi."
"And I love you too, yeobo."
