Notes:

Hi, it's me. After two years, I am back with a sequel to Not Another Teen Drama. This has been in the works for over a year now at this point. I found inspiration and then lost it. I had about 4 chapters written, but I just couldn't continue on. I lost motivation. Then, I saw that KlaineCCFanficLibrary is running their annual Valentine's challenge again this year. I figured, if anything was going to motivate me, it was this challenge. Since the first story was written for the same challenge two years ago. It will help if you read the first story, Not Another Teen Drama before you read this. So, here we go.

Each chapter will have a reference to each song title prompt.

This is my contribution to the Klaine's Valentine's Day Challenge 2025.

Day 1 Song: Good Old-fashioned Lover Boy by Queen

Chapter 1: Good Old-fashioned Lover Boy

Chapter Text

It’s a beautiful summer day in early August. Blue skies with no clouds in sight with temperature above 90 degrees. It’s a perfect day for a wedding. Kurt had been planning this day for months. It’s finally here and he couldn’t contain his excitement. He had planned everything from cake to flowers, to the place setting, and down to the smallest detail of how the napkins were folded. He took pride in it and he had so much fun planning everything. It was a very special day after all.

Kurt checked his list one more time to make sure there was nothing left unchecked. He wanted today to go perfectly.

Kurt looked up when there was a knock on the door. A smile took over his face instantly. “Hey you!”

“Hi, you look great.” Blaine said before he leaned in to kiss his boyfriend.

“Mm... you look stunning. I love your hair like this.” Kurt replied admiring Blaine’s coifed up hairstyle.

Blaine smiled bashfully. “Thanks. My boyfriend showed me a different way to style it so it’s not weighed down by gel.”

“I do like your slick back gel look, but this suits you way better.” He reached up to pull back a few strands of hair in place behind Blaine’s ear.

“You ready?” Blaine asked, taking his hand. “Your dad’s already outside. He looks really excited.”

Kurt smiled, squeezing Blaine’s hand. “Yes, I’m ready. And of course, my dad’s excited. He's getting married today.”

It was a beautiful wedding. It wasn’t just Burt and Carole joining together, but it’s Burt, Carole, Finn, and Kurt becoming a family. They were no longer broken. Two broken families coming together today to become whole, to become a new family.

“May I have this dance?” Blaine asked, looking so dashing in his black suit.

Kurt smiled and accepted Blaine’s hand. He let him lead him to the dance floor as the opening notes of Can’t Help Falling In Love began to play. “Oh, I love this song!”

Blaine pulled him into his arms and they began to sway to the music. “I know.” He whispered in Kurt’s ear. “I requested it to the DJ.”

“My prince charming.” Kurt beamed.

“You look happy. I like seeing you so happy.”

Kurt sighed happily and leaned his head on Blaine’s shoulder. “I am. I have an amazing boyfriend. This summer has been like paradise. I’m so happy for my dad and Carole. I get to have a mom again.”

Blaine tightened his hold on Kurt’s waist. “I know...”

Kurt lifted his head up immediately. “Oh Blaine, I didn’t mean to be so insensitive.”

Blaine brushed him off. “No, I know you didn’t mean to. I’m always going to miss my dad whether my mom remarries or not. Just like I know that you will always miss your mom even if you have Carole now. But I know that having Carole will help fill that void and I’m so happy for you.” Blaine gently touched Kurt’s cheek with his fingertips. “Like I said, I like seeing you so happy.”

Kurt’s face split into a wide grin. “Well, that makes two of us.”

Blaine burst out laughing.

“The reception turned out nice, don’t you think?” Kurt said looking around the room.

“It’s beautiful, Kurt. You did a great job planning it.”

“I’ve been planning weddings since I was 5 years old. My power rangers have been married multiple times.” Kurt replied making Blaine laugh. “And I’ve been thinking about how I would plan my dad and Carole’s wedding since they started dating a year and a half ago. I’m so glad they let me do it.”

Blaine studied his boyfriend. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he asked, “and what about us? Have you started planning our wedding yet?”

Kurt looked back at Blaine with an amused smile. “What makes you think we’ll be married some day?”

Blaine pouted adorably. “That hurt, Kurt.” He put his hand to his chest over his heart. “Right here.”

Kurt chuckled and stopped teasing him. “Of course, I’ve started planning our wedding ever since you gave me a promise ring.”

Blaine smiled back; eyes bright with love. “And...? Give me some details. What's the color scheme? Is it gonna be a summer wedding like this one?”

“The colors are going to be black and white. Classy and elegant. And we’re having a June wedding.”

Blaine raised his eyebrow. “June wedding, huh?”

Kurt nodded. “It’s still a summer wedding but the weather wouldn’t be too hot yet. Especially since it’s going to happen in New York City. Who wants all that humidity on your wedding day?”

“New York?”

Kurt looked at Blaine. “Yes, New York. We’ll be fabulously living our best life on the upper west side. You'll be working for Lockheed Martin or GE. I’ll be working for Vogue.”

“You have it all planned out, huh?”

Kurt put his hands around Blaine’s face. “It’ll happen Blaine. I know it. I believe in us.”

Blaine leaned in to kiss Kurt softly. “Me too.”

Kurt let out a little squeal. “I can’t wait for school to start. Our Senior year! It’s going to be magical!”

Blaine laughed softly. “Did I turn the Cheerios Captain, Kurt Hummel into a nerd that he’s so excited about school?”

Kurt smiled back. “Well, maybe you’re just rubbing off on me.”

Blaine leaned closer to whisper in Kurt’s ear. “Speaking of rubbing off...”

Kurt gasped. “Blaine! Not on my dad’s wedding night. Ew!”

Blaine laughed. “I was going to say that, your parents are going on their honeymoon tomorrow for a week. You'll have the house to yourself.”

“Well, I’ll have Finn there.”

Blaine tugged on Kurt’s jacket lapels. “Well, Finn won’t be at home all the time. He’ll be at the shop or with Quinn.”

Kurt regarded him with a teasing glint in his eyes. “Did I turn the pure, innocent, hopeless romantic Blaine Anderson into a horn dog?”

Blaine let out a chuckle and shook his head slightly. “I love you, Kurt. Everything I’m feeling... it’s all to be with you. To express my love to you.”

“Blaine...”

“I just... I love everything we’ve been doing so far and I love that you wanted to take things slowly and made sure that I felt comfortable. You've been the perfect gentleman. Good old-fashioned lover boy.”

“Why, thank you, kind sir.”

Blaine eyed him smolderingly. “But I’m hoping that you stop being such an old-fashioned gentleman and just take me against a wall.”

Kurt’s breath stuttered out of him as he stared back at his boyfriend, who was clearly turned on, in a middle of the dance floor of his parents’ wedding reception. “Christ, Blaine!” was all Kurt could mutter.

“Don’t you ever feel like you want to just rip each other’s clothes off and get dirty?”

Blaine was going to kill him with these words and Kurt knew that if he didn’t put a stop to it, they were going to have a very embarrassing incident in public. So, he teasingly replied, “well yeah, but that’s why there’s masturbation.”

Blaine leaned in closer and whispered, “why masturbate when we can give each other what we really want?”

Kurt’s knees were going weak and his pulse was pounding in his veins. He cradled Blaine’s face in his hand. “I just want to make it really special for us. I know how much it means to you. I know you like romance.”

“Kurt. It will be special because it’s with you. I’ve always wanted my first time to be with the person I love. And I love you, Kurt. I love you in a way I didn’t know it was even possible to find in high school. I never thought I was going to fall in love as a teenager. I mean, no one meets their soulmate at sixteen.”

Kurt’s blue eyes shone with unshed tears. “Is that what I am to you? Your soulmate?”

“Do you even have to ask? I’m crazy about you.”

Kurt surged forward to kiss him deeply. “I love you and you’re right. Who knew when I decided to ask for tutoring sessions last year that it was going to lead me to finding you? We are soulmates.”

Blaine smiled. “So, what are we waiting for?”

“Finn’s working at the shop tomorrow afternoon before going out with Quinn later.”

Blaine smiled widened. “It’s a date.”

Black Rivian RS1 drove down the highway leading to Lima. The driver ran his hand through his dark hair and glanced over at the sign, “Welcome to Lima, Ohio.” He smiled to himself before checking the GPS on the screen of his car leading him to his new home. This was a fresh start for him. A new job, new town, new home, and if he’s lucky; really lucky, he’ll have a new family too.

He pulled up to a cottage style single story home on a quiet street. He didn’t need a big house. He just wanted a home that was in a nice neighborhood and in close proximity to work and the town square. A house that's equipped with solar panels and a charging station for his electric car. He's not a fancy guy even if he came from a wealthy family, but he did enjoy cars. Electric cars were his new obsessions. The real estate agent had left the keys for him inside the mailbox. He was moving into his new home. He had brought a suitcase of clothes and some personal essentials in his car. The rest of his stuff was coming on a moving truck the next day. Today, all he had to do was to get settled in, get some groceries, and get himself familiarized with the neighborhood.

After taking a shower and putting on fresh clothes, he felt like a new man. Although driving from Columbus wasn’t too long, he was glad to be in his new place. He grabbed his phone to bring up the Maps app. He typed, “The Lima Bean Café" in the search bar, set it as his destination and walked out of his house.

As he drove around the quaint town square of Lima, he made note of different places. He wasn’t used to a small town, but he found the charm that Lima offered to be pleasing. He had only been here once when he came for a job interview a couple of months ago and to sign the escrow papers on the house. He couldn’t wait to explore what Lima had to offer. But, most importantly, what he’s looking forward to finding wasn’t anything or any place. It was the people; two in particular.

He opened the door of the Lima Bean Café and felt the cool air conditioning hitting him like a welcome hug. He smiled softly as he looked around the charming café. Since it was a Monday afternoon, there weren’t many customers. A few teenagers taking up tables and slowly sipping their Frappuccinos to stay inside the air-conditioned café.

He stood in line and was perusing the menu on the wall when he heard it.

“I’m taking off, Mom. I won’t be home for dinner.”

He looked over at a young man with dark hair like his; talking to a beautiful woman. He could feel his heart beating faster in his chest. He put his hands in his pocket to hide the fact that they began to shake.

The woman smiled and hugged the young man. “Okay, honey. Thanks for your help. Tell Kurt I say hi.”

“I will!” With that, the young man turned around to leave. His eyes landed on him for a second as he was walking out. The young man gave him a small polite smile, the kind you gave to strangers who were just customers in the café, before leaving.

“Hi, what can I get you?” The woman was now speaking to him, so he turned around as he approached the register.

“Hi.” He breathed out and smiled. “I’m new to town and it’s my first time here. What would you recommend?”

The woman’s smile widened. “Oh, welcome to Lima! Are you visiting or staying?”

“Staying. I just got a new job at McKinley High School. I’m the new English teacher.”

“Oh, my son goes to McKinley! He’s gonna be starting his Senior year when school starts in a couple of weeks.” The woman replied excitedly.

“I’ll keep a look out for him.”

“His name is Blaine. Blaine Anderson. I’m Pam, and I own this café. For your first time here, I’d recommend a chicken pesto panini with kale salad on the side. Unless you have nut allergy because there are pine nuts in the pesto sauce and peanuts in the kale salad.

“No, no food allergy. Chicken pesto panini and kale salad sound good. Can I please have a large iced vanilla latte to go with it as well?”

Pam entered his ordered in the computer. “Coffee is on the house today. Consider it as a welcome gift...”

“Oh! My name is Cooper. Cooper James. Thank you!”

Pam smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, Cooper. Go take a seat. I’ll bring the food over.”

Cooper smiled, paid for his panini and salad before walking over to a table by the window to sit down. When he decided to have lunch at the Lima Bean, he had hoped to meet at least one of the Andersons. He got to see them both today, even though he only officially met Pam. He couldn’t wait to meet Blaine. After all, he’s been searching for him for almost a year now. Ever since he found out he was his brother.
