Work Text:
Sometimes I like to sit with you and watch
That frown of concentration on your face,
The way you scrunch your nose when you’re in thought,
The restlessness when you stand up to pace.
Your mind is such a dark and twisty thing—
It’s beautiful in how it puzzles out
The details of each new, exciting scheme.
My deer, will this one work? I have no doubt.
But when you take the pen up from your desk
And bifurcated tongue wraps round its length,
My deer, that is the moment I like best;
Love, that’s the moment I begin to think:
That now might be the time to take a break—
You see, I’ve got this lust I’d like to slake.
