Summary
By the time the pizza was gone, he was ready to fall asleep on the couch. He left the dirty plate on the coffee table, too tired to care, and shuffled across the room to the light switch. Just as his fingers flipped the switch, that tiny moment before the room was suddenly dark, something caught his eye.
There, across the room, in the shadowy corner by the window, something moved. It was faint - barely more than a shimmer - but the outline was very human-like.
Daryl’s heart leapt into his throat, and he hit the switch again, flooding the room with light... Nothing.
