A Bright Beginning(discontinued)

Summary:

Lunar gets his powers back, yet at the cost of maybe not seeing them for months or even years.

Chapter 1

Chapter Text

“I just don’t know what to choose!” Behind closed doors, the lunar bot screamed. The frustration was eager to just eat him straight up. “Why do I, ME?! Have to make the decision to become some ASTRAL BEING and end up leaving my own family for months, scratch that! YEARS MAYBE!? I hate this. Why me…”Lunar just was so indecisive. Everything the astrals told him were too vague, who was HE saving? Would it be people like his family. Or like eclipse, the creator or even himself. He didn’t want to save people that deserve punishment. It wouldn’t feel right, not at all! The astrals stated that he would go to different planets and help them. But then again, Lunar wouldn’t be a thorn in his family’s side for once! He hurt so many with his original star powers being on earth, even his own sister, boy did he do a double whammy to her. He was blinded by his own self pity and anger to realize the bullshit he got himself into. He didn’t want any of this. That breakdown earlier made sure that was imprinted into his mind. Earth came back to the daycare, totally acting like she didn’t hear anything about this breakdown. “Okay, Lunar we should probably get to cleaning!” Earth exclaimed. “Oh hey Earth, sorry about not starting it, sorta got distracted. Welp alrighty I’m going to get straight to it then!” Lunar replied trying to hide his frustrations deep in his mind. “So Lunar, where’s the donut?” Earth asked, “I have no clue! I was trying to look for it so I could sleep on it.” Lunar loosely replied in a silly tone. “Alright we’ll find it tomorrow, we’re almost done already hence the fact that Sun already did most of the important cleaning.” Earth said. “I think I got the last thing! I hope-“ Lunar scrambled around the place, looking for any missing daycare equipment. Nothing was to be found yet. “Well I’ll head back to my house” Earth spoke. “Alright seeya! Love you sis!” Lunar yelped. “…- I love you too Lunar.” Earth replied. *Earth was seen finally leaving the daycare by Lunar’s eyes, he sighed with relief. He didn’t know how long he would keep up this silly act of this, even if everyone knows it might be fake.*. “I just have no clue how I should approach this situation anymore. I mean-“. Lunar exclaimed in concern to himself. “Luckily, you don’t have to Lunar.” A woman’s voice was heard behind Lunar. He turned around in alert. “Oh hey Nebula… what are you doing here?” Lunar asked, preparing for the best or the worst. “Well, Lunar we need of your assistance, we ask of you to follow orders from Taurus. He’ll tell you what we need.” Nebula blankly said, and stepped towards Lunar, not giving him a chance to say anything. Immediately Lunar found himself with Nebula in space. In front of Taurus, the horned creature that supposedly looks like it was mixed with a human. “Lunar we request of your assistance, we already know you have mostly lost your powers and cannot be trusted to a certain extent, but in these harsh circumstances. Listen to me carefully Lunar, we have seen disappearances of astrals going missing. We have little to no leads on where they could be and we hope you’ll assist during it. Cause sadly you have little to no choice in this. You’ll get to-“ Taurus was explaining before getting cut off. “So you seek my help through all of this. Yet I get no choice in this? At all?!” Lunar’ anger grew a bit larger. “Lunar, would you rather die having your own family not knowing and then having them think you just disappeared for your own benefit? Then having your family die after you and their casualties being on you? Or come back months or years later to seeing them halfway not infected with dark star power and any galactic beings.” Taurus immediately snapped back at Lunar. “…hmph”. “That’s what I thought. Listen to me, this is urgent. I wish you didn’t have to assist. So you could atleast build back your relationships within your family. But yet your family could get severely injured if we don’t have leads on where Gemini, Libra and Capricorn were taken to.”. Lunar didn’t know, he didn’t know if he should help. Lunar doesn’t know if Taurus is telling the truth or the full story. But he needs to a decision fast. Lunar let out a sigh, “I’ll help, what’s in it for me?” Lunar looked up at Taurus. Taurus blankly stared at the lunar bot. “Your family goes unscathed, Lunar I already-”. “Alright, I know, I know. Sorry”. Taurus walked towards Lunar, asked him to follow him towards a room far from the room they were in. Finally they reached the room, it looked as if it were a church. Stained glass windows surrounded the room. Taurus requested he move to the middle. Lunar of course moved towards the middle of the room. He heard a slam. The door had been closed, Lunar swore his mechanical heart would pop out of his chest. Nothing left but him and the stained glass. Suddenly his eyesight went dark, he felt lightheaded and nauseous. His powers were regained but his body could barely maintain this power and it ended up breaking apart completely. He looked upon what he became. Lunar could not contain the utter shock as he looked at his now broken empty spirited body on the ground. Speaking of spirits, that’s what his astral body looked like. Lunar tested his ability first, one of the safest ones of course. Flying, gradually he felt like a bird soaring through the air. He wasn’t the happiest with gaining his powers back but at least he could protect his family but at what cost of not seeing them? This was a thought that reoccurred and repeated over and over again. He didn’t feel like himself anymore. Lunar wondered how much time it has been since he disappeared, probably already a day or two.

Chapter 3: Ophiuchus

Summary:

Earth hears a little girl’s voice urging her to wake up.

Chapter Text

“Wake up.” A mysterious voice ensured to make itself clear.

“Eh? Who’s there!?” A robotic voice called out.

“Wake up! Earth please!” The voice sounded more hoarse.

Earth finally rose from what seemed like almost a whole half day of sleeping.

“Dazzle? Are you okay, what happened sweat heart?

“Uncle Lunar’s gone! Dad and uncle Moon didn’t wanna wake you up to bother you at all, i’m sorry.”

Suddenly everything came back to Earth as she sat up from bed, guilt overlayed every other emotion. She should have helped, she could have went into the daycare but what could she have said? Earth silently pleaded in her head, for someone or something to help her.

“Okay Dazzle dear, where’s Sun and Moon?”

“I think they could be at the pizza plex or at the daycare. Also Uncle Solar’s in the basement.”

“Okay Dear, do you mind staying with Solar? I’ll go find Sun and Moon, alright?”

“Okay” Dazzle sniffled and smiled as she ran down stairs to the basement.

“Okay, I guess I’ll take the car. I don’t have one of those teleportation thingies” Earth sighed as she took the car to the pizza plex and walked into the daycare

“Earth! Oh goodness, thank gods you’re here!” Sun almost sounded as if he was about to burst out into a panic attack.

 

“We found Gemini” Taurus said as he moved aside from the door.

“Hi, Lunar.” Gemini made there presence clear as they spoke

“Hi Gemini, glad you’ve been found-“

“We need to talk to you, Lunar.” Gemini spoke, but specifically Castor. Pollux not so much.

“Alright? What is it?” Lunar replied, confused on what they needed now.

“We need you to handle some problems on other planets, incase you didn’t already know”

“What about the occurrences of astrals disappearing-“ Lunar questioned

“We’ll deal with it, and Taurus will too. So you don’t need to worry about that.” Gemini replied bluntly, not letting Lunar know too much about the matter.

“Now Lunar, I will warn you these planets have been corrupted. We need you to protect these planets, I know it’s cliche but I sincerely believe that won’t stop you from helping the people of these planets.” Taurus again, wasn’t giving Lunar a choice and he knew that.

“… alright.” Lunar wasn’t used to this at all, gods he did not like the sound of these so called planets being corrupted.

“I must of forgotten to say, these planets are dangerous. A specific one runs off of relationships with astrals and worship. Don’t be afraid to send out subtle messages to know you’re there.” Something about Taurus’s voice sounded off when saying they ran off of “worship”. Lunar does not want to be worshipped as a godly entity. But the other astrals were already worshipped by many of the planets.

“Again, though Lunar. You’ll be on your own for this mission unless special circumstances change.” Taurus had made this very clear over and over.

“Wait! Lunar needs a name! He can’t just go as “Lunar!” Pollux blurted out.

“What possibility would Lunar have a need to change his own name? But I suppose it’s alright.” Taurus hesitantly agreed.

“Well, what name should I go by?” Lunar was too confused and utterly lost.

“Perhaps… Ophiuchus? It’s fitting for his journey onwards.” Taurus suggested.

“ Okay, I’ll take it.” Lunar actually liked the name, but he didn’t know if it was fitting for his character right now.

“ Ophiuchus, you must be on your journey now. I need Nebula to send a message to the celestial family.” Taurus requested

“I’ll call upon her presence.” Gemini offered

“I’ve been here…” Nebula replied

“Nebula, do you mind sending a message to the celestial family while Lunar-Ophiuchus goes upon his mission and me and Gemini will look for the other astrals.” Taurus requested.

“Alright.”

“Wait, can you tell them I’m alright?!-“ Lunar said as Nebula slowly teleported to earth.

Lunar felt rushed and overwhelmed. He has a new name, he has to succumb to the pressure of being an omnipresent being, which meaning he can’t let his emotions control him. But how long is it going to be before he can see his family again.

“Taurus, I believe the family might be in a state of overwhelming distress, I believe we should wait until they are ready to hear the truth.” Nebula said

“Okay, do not forget what I requested though. They’ll be able to handle the situation soon enough.”

Sorry for the procrastination! I hope you enjoy this chapter! This chapter was supposed to be a lot longer but I had to improvise and rush it about bit sorry about that!

Chapter 4: A new beginning SPIN OFFS?!

Summary:

“Hey! It’s me Ophiuchus- I mean Lunar, gosh I keep forgetting my own name! Sorry, I don’t know if you guys are getting this message any time soon, but from now, I do have the desire to see you all again. The solemnly warm smiling faces I once knew, though, I sadly cannot remember much at all. Of course I do wish to see you guys once again. I know it’s been way too long, I’m sorry. Apparently this is ‘voice recorded’ which I like in my opinion, I would make due of what time I had but it has all been used up by this one message I’m sending upon you all. I’m sincerely sorry, I will have to tell all about my adventures later on when I come to visit.” Nebula showed the voice tape to the celestial family

“That’s all the time Ophiuchus or Lunar had, I do apologize, Ophiuchus had some problems to attend to after this message was recorded.” Nebula spoke

“I’m just glad he’s still alive.” Moon spoke out in a jokingly manner though everyone looked at him with blank faces.

“… stop looking at me” Moon’s smile faded.

“Anyways, I just hope he’s doing well” Earth said after some silence eluded the room

“Thank you Nebula, we appreciate it a lot!” Sun responsibly said and smiled politely.

“Alright, I will be taking my leave.” Nebula said

“Bye nebula!” Dazzle sweetly waved.

Silence filled the room whilst everyone went up to their designated room. The house as well drifted into silence.

Chapter 5: Dark age of the matter

Summary:

Lunar had to catch up with his family to only find them…dead?

“What the hell. No, no no no, what is this?! This isn’t real! Please is someone out there? Anyone?! PLEASE!?” Ophiuchus sobbed
His own family layed dead on the floor, but this wasn’t supposed to happen right now. This is all messed up.

*bzzzt!* a small buzzing harmonized Ophiuchus’s sobs. Ticking sounds started to overwhelm his mind, overstimulating any sense that he had before, everything went blurry, his body was dead weight now. But he was still… standing? No, was he walking, running even? Who was “he”? What is “he”?

The A03 curse hasn’t hit me yet chat, only writer’s block has! I have literally no ideas what to do.
