Honestly, Vi couldn't remember the last time she had a period, she knew she had a short one right before getting tossed in Stillwater but, the stress of not knowing if her sister was okay and, the constant beatings to the abdomen quickly shut that down.
So, it was only reasonable that she froze after seeing red spots in her shorts, it took her a moment to remember she was even supposed to have a period, so with slightly flushed cheeks and some hesitancy she woke up Caitlyn with a small shake and a "Sorry to wake you.." and something else, Caitlyn still waking up couldn't quite make out.
After a brief wave of tiredness washed away Caitlyn's concern was apparent, Vi rarely looked so flushed always sporting a confident look no matter what, especially in these past weeks while Cait was healing, Vi tried to put as little attention on herself as possible so, for Vi to look so shaken is worrying for Caitlyn but she is quickly pulled out her thoughts by Vi's mumbling
"I-uhm..fuck I didn't wanna wake you but I.. think I started my period and I don't know what the fuck to do."
Caitlyn let out a small chuckle of relief which only made Vi blush harder, noticing her partner's reservations on the topic she changed her demeanor, giving Vi a gentle smile that calmed the Zaunite's nerves a bit
"Darling," Cait said as lovingly as possible "You've never had a cycle before?" she asked while sitting fully up, "I have, but it only lasted like.. a day," Vi said unsure "Then Y'know Stillwater and stuff so-" she cuts her self off with a shrug not knowing what she was supposed to say so Cait spoke first
"Love, it's alright." she assured while gently running her hand through Vi's hair "Come on I have stuff in the bathroom and we can get you set okay?" she asked hoping Vi would be alright with that. Vi gave a small nod and followed Caitlyn into their bathroom and took a seat on the side of the bathtub watching as Caitlyn opened the cabinet under the sink and took out a basket of what she guessed to be period products, Cait moved and sat next to Vi "Did you use anything like this in the past?" she asked and Vi shook her head "No- uh just toilet paper " she mumbles and Caitlyn gives her a small sympathetic nod
"Thats alright, I have a few types of pads but I tend to use tampons myself" she explains while showing Vi the different options, Vi nods along and picks a medium pad to play it safe then blushing as she asks Cait how to use it and after being taught, she got changed and came out from the bathroom looking far more relaxed.
Now back in bed with her lover's arms wrapped around her and a warm water bottle that Caitlyn says is supposed to help with the cramps shes having plus with Cait whispering sweet nothings in her ear it's hard for not to drift off, after a minute of Vi fighting the tiredness Caitlyn whispers in her ear "rest Violet.." and just like that she's down.
