He’s a fool to have thought that Alex wouldn’t see the dopey grin and heart eyes that have all but borne a permanent imprint on the back of his curls. He’s a fool to have written down his feelings, a fool to have had them at all. A fool to have posted them.
He’s a fool with a foolish heart, a heart poured out through little messages no one was ever supposed to see, let alone Alex. Let alone Alex, who was currently reading them out loud from the other side of the kitchen table. God, he was a fool.
