“Don’t go home with him.”
The decidedly male voice made her jump. Her eyes snapped open and snagged on the rumpled reflection of Teddy Lupin. His warm hazel eyes were fixed on her with a startling intensity.
“You shouldn’t be in here,” she said, trying her best not to sound as nervous as she felt. “This is the ladies.”
“Don’t go home with him,” he said again.
Anger flared in her belly and she whirled toward him. He had some nerve.
“I don’t believe it’s any of your business who I choose to take home,” she said sharply. “You should be more concerned with your own date. You know, the woman climbing all over you?”
It was meant to be a jibe, but she hated how desperate and jealous it sounded.
“I don’t want her,” Teddy said, eyes still trained intently on her.
