Everything Is On My Horizon

Summary:

It starts so simply.

Well, not entirely— there were lots of questions at first, and lots of confusion, discussions on logistics, how they could realistically make it work.

But in the end, the six closest former Furin boys in class 1-1 end up the owners of a proper house.

And that’s how it begins.

Notes:

This is my first published work in any fandom at all, so my apologies if the formatting is off or something is missing! I wanted an excuse to shower Sakura with all the love in the world from as many people as possible.

For context: the six Furin boys and Kotoha are dating each other; everyone else who appears is only dating Sakura (for now).

If I missed tags or need to fix something, please let me know! And thank you so much for reading!!

Chapter 1: the beginning

Chapter Text

It starts so simply.

Well, not entirely— there were lots of questions at first, and a lot of confusion, discussions on logistics, how they could realistically make it work.

But in the end, the six closest former Furin boys in class 1-1 end up the owners of a proper house.

Which is wonderful news to all of them, because it means they no longer have to sneak around several different homes at odd hours of the night to see each other, or steal private kisses in public places because they’re too grossly in love to go home just yet, or hang out in the disgustingly dirty old park by Haruka’s apartment that hasn’t seen a child or even a lawnmower in years because it’s the only place with a table big enough to fit all of them for picnics.

Admittedly, the idea was every bit as much to get Haruka out of his terrible apartment as it was to let them all live together: the water damage after every tsunami and goddamn rainstorm his landlord made him pay for even though Haruka’s not the one who refused to fix the windows and floors; the vast and barren nothing within the walls except that one shitty futon without so much as a pillow; the aching loneliness the other boys had tried to swallow down every second they were inside.

So, it’s honestly incredibly easy for all of them to pool together and get a house, in comparison to letting their boyfriend continue to live there. The only things they’d even struggled to move over were Mitsuki’s and Akihiko’s excessively large wardrobes— Hayato, Haruka, Kyotaro, and Taiga have select styles and don’t tend to deviate from them, but the other two boys have accumulated enough clothing over the years to open their own thrift shop between them.

And really, with them all being eighteen and entering universities and transitioning from Furin to Roppo-Ichiza to continue protecting the town, this part of their lives is easy. It’s so simple to agree with living together, to allow them to be themselves around one another unapologetically— well, mostly, because old habits die hard and Haruka still has many to break— and simply start living their lives the way they want to live them.

And, well, being able to curl up with one another in bed at the end of the day, after draining classes and their duty to fend off any would-be dickheads and a passable meal any of them had managed to scrape together… it’s better than it has any right to be. Because it’s for them.

They just never realized that creating such a safe haven would become a lighthouse for all their various partners, friends, even acquaintances— or maybe they just underestimated Haruka’s magnetic capabilities when it comes to people who love him.

Not that they really mind, though. The more the merrier, right?
