(After Rabbi Gerson Jr’s service, a few days before the most recent episode)
Dantz: Asriel, I mean, the D’var torah was interesting, but Channukah is so close, can he talk about the story of the Maccabees?
Asriel: I know right? But, you would have been bored if he did that story all month.
Dantz: Yeah, you caught me there. I mean, Channukah is a few days away and I am still working on my wishlist. Mom’s not done shopping yet.
(The two go into the social hall)
Dantz: The best part about the services is obviously the oneg after.
Asriel: No kidding Dantz.
(The two get a plate and sit at a table)
Dantz: So Asriel, is it true you have a crush?
(Asriel blushes heavily)
Asriel: (Embarrassed) W-what? No. I don’t have a crush.
(Asriel manages a chuckle)
Dantz: Okay. But, you’re giggling. Is it true?
Asriel: Dantz, I said no.
(Dantz shoots magenta light arrow goes through Asriel’s head)
Dantz: Asriel, you have a crush on Susie. I mean, who wouldn’t, she’s pretty cool. If anything, that’s why when she’s over you hide.
Asriel: (Blushes) Dantz! You weren’t supposed to reveal that!
Dantz: What, she’s not here. Plus, it’s just us, no one else knows… yet.
Asriel: Don’t leave me in suspense!
Dantz: Speaking about suspense, and chance. A dreidel competition is next week. Is that exciting?
Asriel: It is. I am so excited!
Dantz: (Thinking) Mood swings are crazy. (Speaking) That’s the final event on our Calendar, December 26. 202X, 4th cycle.
Asriel: You now know how to count years in Hometown?
Dantz: Yeah, to transfer from human to monster years, you have to get rid of the ones place, place an X and the ones place is a cycle. Making 2024 to 202X 4th cycle. It’s pretty cool.
Asriel: You didn’t have to give me an information session.
Dantz: (Chuckles) That was pretty good Asriel, I’ll give it to you. Let’s sign the form.
(Dantz pulls out a piece of paper, they put their names and check the box of a prize they want)
Dantz: If I win, I get all the gelt they used to play with. What did you put if you win Asriel?
Asriel: Tickets to an art festival.
Dantz: Of course Azzy.
(Later during the competition)
Asriel: Gimmel!
(Asriel takes the gelt)
Player 1: (Thinking) How is this man winning?
Dantz: (Thinking) I am so bored. I mean, I can just pull out my phone and start scrolling, but if my mom catches me, it’s game over. I’ll just take some of the extra gelt. It won’t mess up the game. (Speaking) Hey Asriel, Imma head out for a sec, there’s some extra gelt in the closet.
Asriel: Okay, take care.
(Asriel spins the dreidel and gets a shin)
Asriel: Are you kidding me? (Places gelt in the center)
(The others spin the dreidel)
Player 1: A nun!?
Player 2: Calm down, (spins) it’s not like I’m about to get a shin- (it lands on a shin) aw dang it! (places gelt in the center)
Player 3: Well it seems your very lucky Asriel!
Asriel: Thanks. Although, I wonder if I’ll get in the finale.
(Player 3 spins the dreidel, it lands on a hey)
Player 3: (Quietly) Yes.
(They take half of the coins in the center)
(The game goes on, Dantz is hiding in the closet)
Dantz: Finally, I get to have some of the extra gelt!
(Dantz gets a piece of gelt from a bag and starts eating it, cut back to Asriel’s game)
Player 4: (Thinking come on, give me something good)
(Player 4 spins the dreidel, it lands on a nun)
Player 4: Are you serious! That’s it!
(Player 4 flips the table, Asriel rushes to player four)
Asriel: Hey, are you okay?
(Player 4 slaps Asriel, Asriel starts to cry)
Asriel: (Tears up) You didn’t have to slap me! (Cries)
(Toriel is at a different table)
Toriel: So this player wins! Here’s a sticker for winning- (hears Asriel cry) Oh my God!
(Toriel drops the sticker)
Finale Player 1: Great lady now I have to pick it up.
(He picks it up and puts it on his shirt, cut to Toriel and Asriel)
Toriel: Asriel, are you okay?
Asriel: (Sniffs) Yes. (Cries)
(Toriel finds a slap mark on Asriel’s face)
Toriel: Who did this to you!?
Asriel: A player. (Sniffs)
Toriel: I am so sorry. (Toriel hugs Asriel)
(Asriel stops crying, Toriel looks around)
Toriel: Asriel, where’s your brother?
Asriel: (Normal) He’s in the closet. He found a “gelt stash” and stayed in the closet.
Toriel: Dantz you- (Toriel takes a breath) Don’t worry Asriel, I will get your brother.
(Toriel walks over to a closet)
Toriel: (Yelling) Dantz Jellal Dreemurr get out right now!
Dantz: (Inside closet, texting) Susie, of course you’re the toughest person in school, you don’t have to confirm that with you flexing in the mirror.
(Dantz unwraps a gelt, Toriel opens the closet door)
Toriel: Dantz, I am not mad, but can you please get out of the closet?
Dantz: Fine.
(Dantz gets out of the closet and eats the gelt)
Dantz: I guess that’s the last gelt I am eating today.
Toriel: Dantz, if you’re unaware, those gelt are for future dreidel competitions.
Dantz: Oh, okay. I did not notice.
(Cut to the finale, Dantz is whispering to Toriel)
Dantz: (Whispering) Mom, let’s try a sudden death for the finale, the first person who gets a gimmel takes all.
Toriel: (Whispers to Dantz) That’s wonderful! (Speaking) Players, Dantz has spoken a good idea to me. He has requested that the first player who gets a gimmel wins the competition.
(The spectators and players are all communicating to each other)
Toriel: Now, our winner from table 1, Asriel!
(The spectators are clapping for Asriel, he spins the dreidel)
Asriel: (Sweating, thinking) Come on come on.
(The dreidel lands on a gimmel)
Toriel: The winner is Asriel!
(The spectators cheer, Asriel handshakes the finale players)
Toriel: And for his prize it is (puts on reading glasses) art festival tickets.
(Rabbi Gerson Jr walks with 4 art festival tickets in hand, Asriel picks them up)
Dantz: (Counts tickets) Asriel, there are four ticket’s who are you inviting?
Asriel: You’ll see, now you’re the one in suspense.
(Asriel tries to pull off a mischevious grin)
Dantz: Asriel, are you seriously trying to copy me? (Chuckles) That’s pretty good.
(Dantz gives Asriel a noogie)
(Intermission)
(Later at the art festival)
Asriel: Hey Dantz! Those paintings look so cool! I want to buy one of them soon! Mom, can I buy one of those paintings?
Toriel: Of course Asriel, you can only pick one.
Asriel: Okay.
Dantz: Hey Asriel, since your a person who leaves me in suspense for all things. I am still wondering who the surprise guest is.
Asriel: I’ll tell you-
Dantz: It’s Susie. Come on, wouldn’t I have known beforehand? You can’t leave me in suspense like that. That would make me more curious to know. (Thinking) Great, now I can bail out of this for something more fun.
(Susie is near some trees)
Susie: (Thinking) Where is Asriel and Dantz, I can’t WAIT to see them.
(Susie sees Asriel and Dantz)
Susie: Perfect time.
(Susie jumps down and tags Dantz with a note on his shoulder and sticks beside him)
Dantz: Hey Susie, how are you doing?
(Dantz looks right)
Dantz: What’s that on my shoulder Susie?
Susie: (Whispers) Read it.
(Dantz pulls the note off his body and reads the note)
Dantz: (To self) I get bored at these things too, I want to get out. (Whispers) Alright Susie. I got this.
(Dantz surrounds Asriel and Toriel with pink mist, they visualize all of Asriel’s favorite art works come to life)
Toriel: Asriel look, a starry sky right in the middle of the daytime.
Asriel: Yeah, I see. So cool, just like Vincent Van… did Dantz just leave me?
Toriel: I don’t see Susie too. My child, I will have to look for Dantz. Don’t worry Asriel, I’m not mad at you, I am mad at Dantz and Susie for ditching us. (Breathes) Dantz Jellal Dreemurr and Susie Lacertilia, get over here right now!
(Near the rooftop)
Susie: I’ve been to this community center before, and I know where the best rooftop is. Right here.
(Dantz climbs the ladder)
Dantz: I’ve been on the school roof before, but this is way shorter than what I have been on.
(Susie pulls out some water balloons)
Susie: Here, have some.
(Cut to Toriel and Asriel)
Asriel: Dantz? Susie? Where are you?
Toriel: Everything is going to be fine Asriel, there is no need to worry.
(Cut to Dantz and Susie)
Dantz: Hey Susie. Watch this, the roof has a wall so we can hide easily. There’s a couple. I guess.
Visitor 1: Is it a beautiful day to get married?
Visitor 2: Yes it is! We just got the documents signed.
Visitor 1: (Looks up) Oh my God-
(Visitor 1 and 2 get splashed)
Dantz: Rain on a wedding day. A good marraige to them.
Susie: That was pretty good Dantz.
(Dantz looks down)
Dantz: Berdly!? He is about to get it.
(Cut to Berdly and his family)
Berdly: Honestly, you will think my art skills are incredible!
Mr. Cardinalis: Of course your art is amazing. You can paint me anything and it’s magic! Like your grades. Mr. Herkabe says you’re his favorite student!
Berdly: (Thinking) Excellent! Now he thinks I am his best son! He thinks that ME sneaking out to a party was a fluke.
(A water balloon from Dantz gets thrown onto Berdly and Mr. Cardinalis, they both get splashed)
Dantz: Ha! Two birds with one balloon!
(Dantz high fives Susie)
Dantz: In your tiny little beak Berdly!
Susie: Dude. It’s not that serious.
Dantz: Fine.
Mr. Cardinalis: (Screaming) This family will get you back Dreemurr!
(Cut to Asriel and Toriel, in front of a fortune teller)
Fortune Teller: You will see water and rooftops in the future.
Asriel: What does that mean?
Fortune Teller: Make up your own meaning to it.
Toriel: Will it help us find Dantz?
Fortune Teller: Only if your son figures out the meaning of the message.
(Toriel and Asriel go to a mime)
Asriel: Have you seen a person who looks like this?
(Asriel shows a drawing of Dantz, the mime makes himself look like he is climbing up onto a roof, then he looks like he gets a balloon and drops it, then he visualises the water going onto his head, then shows an angry face expression)
Asriel: (Thinking) Water, climbing, anger, I think I’ve got it! (Speaking) Mom! I know where they are!
Toriel: Asriel, what is it?
Asriel: Dantz and Susie are splashing people off of the building!
Toriel: I knew these two were trouble! Let’s find them.
(Toriel and Asriel look around the area for rooftops, then find a familiar face)
Asriel: Berdly? Is that you?
Berdly: Yes Asriel, it is me.
(Berdly does a flamboyant gesture)
Asriel: Have you seen Dantz?
Berdly: Dantz’s location, I don’t know Asriel. But he seems like I got splashed by something. I heard Dantz’s voice-
Mr. Cardinalis: (Angry) Asriel, I am sorry to interrupt but your Godawful brother and his friend have splashed us with a water balloon.
Asriel: Berdly’s dad, my brother isn’t that bad. He’s just a little chaotic, that’s all. He likes to have fun. But it gets out of hand sometimes, I’m not brave enough to reel him in like mom, but he’s pretty cool if you get to know him.
Mr. Cardinalis: I don’t care Asriel. Your brother is horrible-
Toriel: Let’s move this along.
(Toriel holds Asriel’s hand)
Toriel: (Thinking) Dantz you are in so much trouble!
(Back to the rooftop)
Dantz: My mom is close, we need to hide.
Susie: Sure.
(Dantz and Susie hide on the roof)
Dantz: I don’t think my mom will find us now.
Toriel: (Picks the two up) Aha! I found you guys. Don’t worry, your punishment won’t be bad Dantz, your here for your brother, I can understand why you bailed, art isn’t your thing, but please try your best to manage.. I’ll just have to bring you to the car. Susie, I would like it if you hand the rest of the water balloons to me.
Susie: Sure. (Susie opens her jacket and a few water balloons come out.
Asriel: (Gets on rooftop) Mom?
Toriel: Yes sweetheart.
Asriel: I want to give Dantz a little heart to heart. (Asriel smirks)
Dantz: (Thinking) Oh no.
Toriel: Asriel, remember this is your free pass.
(Cut to Dantz and Susie standing on the roof, the rest of Susie’s water balloons are in Asriel’s hands, and he gets to throw them at Dantz and Susie)
Dantz: I realize what’s happening now.
(Dantz gets a water balloon thrown at him it pops and his clothes are wet, Susie gets the same treatment too since there are two water balloons left)
Dantz: I guess that’s it for this prank.
(Everyone laughs)
(Cut to boarding the car)
Dantz: So Susie, that was another successful prank!
Susie: Heck yeah Dantz. You were pretty good.
(Zoom out, then a menorah with the far right light and middle light lit up, then the light next to the far right light gets lit)
