“You’re not stopping me this time,” Rui murmured, pressing a slow, open-mouthed kiss to Wumuti’s jaw before pulling back just enough to meet his gaze. His eyes were dark, filled with something unreadable, something that sent a shiver down Wumuti’s spine.
Wumuti’s breath hitched. “Maybe I don’t want to.”
Rui’s lips curled into a smirk, pleased, triumphant, but there was something else there too—something softer, something that made Wumuti’s heart stutter in a way that had nothing to do with the heat curling in his stomach.
