   “It’s just the two of us now,” Rogue murmured. His first words spoken since they had settled matters with their draconic parents, grief still heavy in his words. “I’m the shadow cast by your light.”

   “And I’m the light that shines brightest because of your shadows,” Sting had managed the faintest of smiles at that. It had been their saying ever since they had grown old enough to understand the nature of their magic, and the complimentary and opposing forces they wielded.

   When Rogue falls, Sting consumes and is consumed by his shadows.
