Chapter Text
After what felt like a million years, classes were finally over and students who didn’t have after-school clubs were finally able to go back to their dorms, and Enid was nothing but relieved.
However, Wednesday was busy beekeeping with Eugene for the next few hours, and Divina, much to Yoko’s dismay, had to finish an assignment to avoid any repercussions. It left both girls sad they couldn’t have their girlfriends with them to bring along — or rather drag along, in Enid’s case — to a complete girls’ night, but they’d manage.
“Bye, babe, I’ll see you in half an hour, okay?” Divina told Yoko, giving her a quick hand squeeze. “I only have two paragraphs of the essay to finish and then I can come over.”
Yoko nodded and stood there, Divina’s hands cupping her face as she gave her a quick kiss.
A moment later Divina walked off to her dorm, leaving both Yoko and Enid watching from the middle of the nearly empty quad. Yoko smiled to herself as Enid merely sighed, slightly jealous of their affection.
”You’re lucky, Yoko. I always have to kiss Wednesday first,” She voiced her thought aloud as they began to walk to Yoko’s dorm to finish their remaining hour on their re-watch of Mean Girls. Yoko’s head turned, an eyebrow raising to show the emotion Enid couldn’t see past her dark red sunglasses.
”Seriously? Does that bother you?” She asked as they walked up the steps, avoiding bumping into anyone. She paused when Enid didn’t say anything, too busy thinking to herself. “If it does, simply tell that to your moody gloomy girlfriend and make her do something to fix it.”
Enid shrugged then, finally finding the right words. “It’s fine, its just that sometimes I wonder if she ever wants to kiss me too.”
”So does she... not reciprocate?”
”No, no—“ Enid hurriedly defended. Because Wednesday did in her own way. Always did. “She does... I mean, she reciprocates, but I wonder if she is scared to, like, kiss me without me trying to kiss her.”
Yoko paused again and stayed quiet for a brief moment until they reached her closed door. She reached down into her pocket to retrieve her key, but a laugh broke through the silence and disproved Enid’s idea that the conversation was over with.
“What’s so funny?” Enid asked, brows knitting together as she unconsciously tilt her head. Yoko shook her own as she opened the door, smirking to herself.
”I have an idea,” Yoko jokingly told her, “How about you use pick up lines on Wednesday? That’ll make her flustered, don’t you think? Maybe she’ll be so flustered, she’ll kiss you on her own then.”
To her surprise, the blonde’s face had a familiar smile overtake it again.
”Wait, that’s not a bad idea, Yoko,” she said sincerely, beaming as she followed the vampire inside.
And maybe Yoko was a little mean to not tell Enid it was a joke, but any possible guilt was clouded with amusement and curiosity as to what would happen.
