Poster was sitting on a bench waiting for One and Taco too appear
"you can do this"
Poster told themself this over and over again trying to calm down
he could feel his heart pounding and his mind whirling. the soft cold wind pressing hard against his paper-like structure felt uncomfortable.
"i just want my girlfriends here."
Poster thought to himself, waiting for them to appear felt like it was taking forever.
He then heard footsteps in the distance and looked down the concrete path to see Taco with a heart shaped box of chocolates accompanied with a bouquet of dark red flowers.
"Im sorry im little late Poster," Taco said sheepishly.
"Its okay! im just glad you came, i would rather be with my girlfriends in the cold wind than be in the cold wind alone." Poster said in a positive tone
Taco smiled and sat next to Poster on the bench. "do you know when One is coming?" Poster asked Taco. "Im not sure, i know she'll be here soon though." Taco answered in a reassuring tone.
A couple minutes went by. Taco and Poster were chatting when One poofed in front of them; It made Poster and Taco jump. One looked out of breath and was holding a couple boxes with flowers.
"Im sorry i was so late loves, i was trying to pick out gifts for you both and got stuck." One then levitated 2 boxes with her powers and gave both of them to Taco and Poster.
"Awe, One, you shouldnt have!" Poster said with a big smile that made One blush. Taco looked at Poster "do you need help opening your box?" Poster looked at Taco with gratitude. "No thanks, i think im good. i mean, if im able to open gifts on christmas and my birthday i think i can open a neatly tied box." Poster smiled reassuringly at Taco.
Taco started opening her gift and in it was a microphone and black thread. Taco looked a bit confused. "Why is there black thread?" Taco asked One. One replied "Oh! well its for when your bowtie starts falling apart, or when you rip it. I know that it used to rip a lot back then and you had to get Light Bulb to stitch it back together, that not being a very good job." One mumbling the last part. "So i thought that maybe you could try stitching it back together yourself, you never know if you might like stitching or not!". Taco looked at One lovingly with a smile. Taco was happy to have someone smart and lovely as One.
Poster was next and started opening his gift. inside was a book and an apple pin. Poster smiled widely and tried to get a closer look at the pin. it was a red apple with a green leaf and golden outline, the back was a twisty thing. "Wow One! you really did put a lot of thought into these gifts! how'd you'd know i love apples, especially pins too!" Poster said in a playful tone with a blush. One giggled "Oh Poster, i know lots! you might know this already but you mightve told me almost all of the things you loved a while back and i just so happened to remember that you love pins and apples! oh and cat books too." One said with a soft smile and blush.
Poster looked at both Taco and One with a smile. "doe, i love you gal's so much." Poster said with joy and true love for them both. Taco smiled, "well you're not the only one that has gifts." Taco then grabbed two heart shaped chocolate boxes with one of them having a cat pattern and the other a heart pattern. Taco gave them both to Poster and One. "they didnt have a star pattern at the store so i got you a heart pattern One." Taco said.
Poster seemed entranced in the cat pattern, tracing the lines of the cats with his eyes and adding little hats on them for fun. One looked at the back of the box and started looking at the different chocolate flavors, mapping out which one's she will eat first and which one's she'll give to Poster. Taco looked at them expectantly, waiting for a response. "so, do you guys like it? i also got you flowers." Taco then grabbed the bouquet behind her back and showed it to both of them. "It was the last one" Taco sighed.
Poster looked at the flowers with love, "they look so pretty! now the question is whose vase should it go in?" Poster said in a playful tone.
One hummed a small laugh and Taco giggled. "Well i think it should go in my vase; it would clash nicely with the blue in my dimension." One spoke. Poster replied "i think it would actually, you can have the flowers! very good idea indeed." Poster then looked at the flowers again "they are very pretty flowers so make sure you take care of them!"
Taco looked at Poster, "did you get us anything for Valentine's Day?" Taco said, then quickly after saying "not that im judging if you dont! im okay with getting nothing from you, as long as im here with you two is as much as i can ask for this Valentine's Day." One blushed and Poster looked lovingly at Taco.
"actually, i do have something," Poster gulped "so do you know why i chose this place?" Poster asked both of them. Taco looked around and realized "its the place where we all first met!" Taco said blushing. One then realized too "ahh, i still remember how it went, i was walking down the path when i saw you two on the bench talking. it feels like eons ago." One said.
"Well," Poster was shaking, getting up and getting onto one knee.
at this point Poster was shaking a lot; he then turned and grabbed a small box behind him and positioning it on his knee.
Poster gently opened the box to show two ring necklaces.
"will you two marry me?"
One and Taco looked at eachother then looked at the rings.
"Of course we will!" Taco hugged Poster and kissed him on the cheek, Poster gaining an even bigger blush with both of them getting slight tears in their eyes. One picked up the rings with her powers and put them both over her and Tacos necks.
One looked at Poster and Taco lovingly with a smile and small tears in her eyes. she went over to them and joined in on their embrace. it made them all feel warm in the cold air.
Poster was happy that he finally got to be with his girlfriends for hopefully, forever.
