Chapter Text
The two men walked up the mount,the wet grass being trampled under their feet,it was a cold night,the rain had just stopped,the world was silent from up there,after walking for a short while,both men sat down on the grass,looking up at the clear night sky filled with stars.
"It's been a long time since we've done this,hasn't it?" Noah said,looking at his lover sitting by his side. Takumi looked back at him with a loving smile "Mhm,it really has,yet,i can still remember that day very clearly."
It was one of their school's many prom balls,every year they would skip said prom,escaping the ballroom to go stargazing,but this time,it was Noah's graduation prom,his final school year was finally over,which meant he would see Takumi even less. Even though they have been friends since they were both babies,Noah knew he would only see Takumi less and less,so he decided that he had to spend this last night with him,doing exactly what they always did every year.
Noah and Takumi had no words to say to each other,they were used to doing this and always had something to say,but now? They couldn't bring themselves to say anything,it was hard to believe they'd barely see eachother ever again,or so they thought,both just looked at the starry sky,keeping close to eachother in a comfortable silence despite their conflicting feelings.
"..I'm gonna miss you..a lot." Noah managed to spit out,he didn't have the courage to even look the other boy in the eyes,he was scared that it would be the last time he would do so,and just the idea of the last time he looks at him being this very moment made him sad and slightly angry.
"Me too,don't disappear 'kay?" Takumi responded,looking down at his own feet,also avoiding eye contact at all costs. He takes a deep breath before turning to Noah,he wanted to hug him one last time,like how he did the day he fleed from his house with his younger sister,like how he did when they watched a movie all alone at Noah's house,even falling asleep in eachother's arms,but his body wouldn't move no matter how hard he tried.
"I'll...try.."
"...And here i was,scared to death of not seeing you ever again." Noah chuckled,he also was mortified that he would never see Takumi again,but in the end...
Not even the inevitable passage of time could separate them
