Summary
Chishiya knew it was inevitably going to provoke Niragi, but he wasn’t expecting just how effective it was going to be. Or rather, how much the intensity of Niragi’s emotions could override his broken body. Niragi moves with a sudden, stunning amount of speed to shove Chishiya into the cashier counter. His bandaged hands wrap around Chishiya’s throat and start to squeeze with a snarl. And then he comes to an abrupt stop, all twitching muscles and hate.
Chishiya smirks up at Niragi even with the hands around his throat, holding Niragi’s stare while he presses a scalpel against Niragi’s stomach. He really should have expected that Chishiya wasn’t entirely unarmed. He’s aware now at least. Niragi is hot-headed with a bad temper and mannerism, but he isn’t stupid. He’s smart enough to know than to assume Chishiya’s bluffing with his retaliation. The slightest pressure of cold metal had been enough to bring the beast to stand down for now. Not forever, but at least for a brief period. He can work with that.
“ Careful. I can kill you faster than you can strangle me.” Chishiya offhandedly remarks.
