Fateful Reflections: Chapter 1: Sealed Fate

Adrien has been used to disappointment in his life, he came to the realization that not everyone has a pure heart, and that there are people who lie and manipulate people to get what they want.
He just never though his father would be one of them.
Adrien was in his room, staring at his hands where his Miraculous was. He was grateful for the power the miraculous gave him, it let him be free to do what he was never allowed to do, to have freedom. His father kept him locked away in the Manson the majority of his life, afraid of what people would do.
Adrien never wanted this life, he never wanted to be kept in a prison and hidden away from the world especially his friends. His father had banned him from school thinking that his friends were bad influences on him. It made Adrien angry.
He clenched his hand and balled it into a fist, then slammed his hand on the couch.
“This is so unfair, why does he have to dictate my life!” Adrien then proceeded to pace around his room. Plagg was watching him from his desk where he sat with a piece of camembert next to him. Plagg silently sighed as he glanced in the direction of Adrien’s phone sitting on the desk near his computer.
Plagg gave a small smile and went to the phone and lifted it off the desk, he flew over to Adrien and placed the phone in his hand.
“Why don’t you call Nino and have a chat with him or what about pigtails, she always makes you smile”
Adrien glanced down at his phone and scowled at it “My father would get mad if he found out I called my friends Plagg, he banned me from making any contact with them”
Plagg snickered and said “Pfft, as if. Your father is a loony Adrien. He needs to lighten up and so do you, he doesn't have to knowww. It can be our little secret. Besides I don’t like this gloomy look on your face”
Adrien sighed “I guess I can call someone and see if they pick up”
Plagg danced in the air “See that's the spirit, now who are you going to call?”
Adrien pulled up his contacts on his phone and scrolled down until he came to ‘Marinette’
Plagg smirked, knowing the reason why he was so drawn to Pigtails. Sometimes it was good to be a Kwami.
Adrien pressed the call button for Marinette but just as it started to connect, the signal bar came up and a voice mail message begun to play on loud speaker.
‘Nice try Adrien, no calls are to be made to anybody outside this house. You will stay in this house forever unless I permit it’
Adrien grasped his phone and threw it across the room and collapsed on the floor and placed his hands on his head while he started to cry “It's no use Plagg, he has tampered with my phone and I can’t call anyone, this is a nightmare I can’t wake up from”
Plagg flew to his shoulder “Kid, don't let your father get to you. You may be stuck in this house as Adrien, but not as Cat Noir. You can leave “ Plagg winked as he said this.
Adrien glanced up at Plagg “What if he has sealed my windows?”
Plagg flew over to the window and gestured to it “Only one way to find out besides, he can’t barricade every window in the house ALL the time”
Adrien threw a look at his Kwami “You do realize my father has the highest security ever designed. Right Plagg” Adrien proceeds to walk to the window and tried to open it, but it was bolted shut.
Adrien gasps “Plagg, I can’t even escape as Cat Noir... what if Ladybug needs my help with an Akuma? I can’t leave my own house. This is a disaster!”
“Okay that might shake a few things” Plagg flew back to the desk, trying to think of a solution and for that he needed cheese.
Adrien sits on his bed and brings his legs up and rests his chin on his legs “Plagg.. I don't know what to do. How am I supposed to get out of this. My father controls everything in my life, Felix is right. I let him control everything and now it's come back to haunt me. I can’t even go and get help because he has me confined to my own house and has cut me off from my friends... HE IS RUINING MY LIFE”
Adrien got off his bed and walked over to his desk, grabbed his computer chair and flipped it over. Screaming in pain.
Plagg had never seen Adrien so out of control, he was upset and furious at his father. The last thing Plagg expected was for Adrien to lose himself. He has always known Adrien to be the sweet, kind, caring boy who put others welfare before his own but his father has pushed him too far and this is the price of that.
“Adrien stop. You need to control yourself kid, I'm sure your father will come around and allow you to talk to your friends again, he just needs time to cool off”
“WHEN HAS MY FATHER COME AROUND TO ANYTHING OTHER THEN CONTROLING MY LIFE PLAGG!, there's only so much I can take” Adrien looked tired and worn out, defeated. Plagg had never seen Adrien so lifeless, it scared him.
Just as Plagg was about to say something to Adrien, he notices something fly above the floor. It was a purple butterfly. Plagg gasped terrified “ADRIEN WATCH OUT”
Adrien glanced up at Plagg, racing towards him but the butterfly flew into the ring, not just any ring but the miraculous ring “NOOOOOO” Adrien heard Plagg scream as his world turned black and he felt darkness swallow him as he heard someone talking to him.
“My, my, my, dear sweet Adrien, you are angry at your father for keeping you from your friends and the rage you feel is only the beginning. Allow me to help you become something that your father fears and more importantly allows you to be free. All you have to do is accept my offer.”
Adrien was in the mist of despair he could hear someone in the background say something but it was drawn out by the voice inside his head.
“Adrien, its Monarch, don't let him win. You need to be strong, reject the Akuma. LADYBUG NEEDS YOU!”
Adrien knew that voice, it was Plagg.
Adrien tried to resist the voice inside his head.
“You won’t control me Monarch”
Monarch was laughing “Why are you resisting so hard my boy when I can give you everything you have ever wanted. Your freedom. All I ask in exchange is Ladybug and Cat Noirs miraculous”
Adrien started to panic, he was trying so hard to break out of the control but his raised heartbeat made it worse, especially when Monarch could feel it increase.
“You are afraid of something. Why are you trying to resist, are you keeping a secret?” Monarch gasped while in the spell “Could it be that you know the identities of the Ladybug and the black cat? Or something more?”
“No please. I don’t know anything. Let me go” Adrien pleaded to the voice inside his head. Adrien saw the eyes of Monarch come into his vision as he saw the villain smirk and could only watch as he understood why Adrien was resisting “You are Cat Noir?!”
Adrien fell over to the floor as he held his head, it felt like it was about to explode. “my, my how the tails have turned. My own son. All this time you have been living under the same roof as me”
“What?” Adrien gasped in the vision “Father?”
“Oh Adrien, the things we can do now that I know the truth... together we can bring your mother back from the dead and all we need now is Ladybugs Miraculous. My boy victory has never been sweeter. From this day on, we will be victorious. You shall be known as Mirroir!”
Adrien could feel his mind being hijacked as his vision become blurry and all his emotions came apart as he felt darkness evolve him.
“ADRIEN NO!”
Plagg could only watch in horror as Adrien succumbed to the darkness of Monarch and watched as Adrien become an Akuma villain, while Plagg got sucked into the Black Cat ring.
