Summary
Bulla collects the dragon balls and wishes that Vegeta's old comrades, Nappa and Raditz, can join in on the annual Capsule Corp. winter festivities. It's a lot more complex than she realizes. While Raditz goes to stay with his brother, Nappa comes to Capsule Corp., and he struggles to find his place on this remote planet, resurrected after so many years. He finds an unlikely friend in his hostess, Panchy.
And now for something completely different. This is a short story broken in to a handful of chapters centered around a resurrected Nappa's friendship with Panchy. Lots of Vegeta and the Briefs family moments and feelings. A little melancholy, but this is generally fluff.

There's a boy still running across that street. Sixteen years old, ammunition boxes in his hands, his corporal's blood cooling against his cheek. He's been running for almost twenty years. The man who came back, Twilight, Loid Forger, whoever he is now, he left that boy behind.
Had to.
You can't build a life carrying a child soldier with you. Except he's still there. In the dreams. In the flinch when artillery sounds like thunder. The war ended but the boy never stopped running.
Never made it across.
The man walks through Berlint and pretends he's whole, for the mission, but he left half of himself bleeding in that street.

He warned them. Repeatedly. Kakashi didn’t want a genin team. Kakashi had no idea of what to do with a genin team. He was self-aware enough to know he wasn’t quite right in the head. He should not be trusted with a bunch of children.
But did the Sandaime hear him? No, because the Sandaime wasn’t Minato-sensei and the old man never listened to him. And he went ahead with the brilliant idea of saddling him with his dead sensei’s son, Itachi’s little brother, and a kunoichi who was so much a cannon fodder that she had a literal target on her bright red dress.
He would not be blamed for the shitshow that was about to start.
OR.
Kakashi only knows how to teach three things: survival, assassination, and pretending to be normal. Good thing that's exactly what his cute little genins need to learn. And if they also learned how to be a family in the process, well, that's just a bonus.
