The rocket ship that Danielle, Karol, and Lill was in finally landed on the dusty surface of Mars. The engines shut off as Lill stepped onto the planet.
“Isn’t it a relief we’re finally here?” She asked.
Karol crossed her arms as if she didn’t want to be there, “Let’s just get over this, there’s too much dust and no wildlife.”
“Maybe Mars did have life, long, long ago. What if it even had water?” Danielle asked, jumping slightly to show her excitement.
“Looks like someone did her investigation,” Lill said, to which even Karol agreed.
Danielle nodded eagerly, “Mars has two moons! And is about half the size of earth!”
“Yeah, sure. We should probably get to exploring if we want to get home soon,” Karol said, rolling her eyes.
“Don’t pretend you don’t care,” Lill said, “Let’s just go explore. We should stick together though.”
The trio set off, stopping to look at some minerals occasionally.
And then Danielle spotted something white, “I think I see frozen water!”
“‘Think’?” Lill asked.
“It’s really big. And white,” she said, taking both women’s hands and dragging them away.
Once they made it to wherever Danielle said, Lill and Karol realized it was true. A huge patch of ice, lying there. Karol couldn’t help but gasp.
“That’s a lot of ice,” Karol said.
“Unfortunately, it’s salty,” Lill said.
“Exactly,” Danielle thought for a few seconds, “How about we try to find that massive volcano? What’s its name? Olympus Mons! Or the Valles Marineris? Where do you want to go?”
The other two women thought, and then said, “How about the Valles Marineris?”
“Let’s go then!”

After walking for what seemed like forever, they finally arrived to the humongous canyon.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Lill asked, while Danielle snapped photos as part of their research.
“I think we’ve got enough,” Karol muttered.
“Yeah, let’s head back. I’m kind of hungry,” Lill said.
Danielle reluctantly agreed, and so the three of them went back to the rocket.
