Chapter Text
It had been a few weeks after Tommy left exile. He was currently staying with Techno in his cabin. It was nice, he liked it. If he was honest, he actually felt quite safe. He kind of did technically break in but it's fine, atleast Techno didn't murder him as soon as he saw him in his house, that was a relief. Tommy was sitting outside on the snow, he had one of Techno's jacket to keep him warm. He looked at the scenery in awe, it was really beautiful when you focus on it. The tree's swayed in the wind and the snow layed on the ground neatly. Everything felt peaceful. He needed it afterall, after everything he went through, after the tower. He pushed those thoughts away as Techno called him from inside.
"Coming!" Tommy yelled as he rushed into the cabin, rubbing the snow off it coat while he walked in.
"Don't wipe the snow off in here!" Techno said angrily but in his still monotoned voice.
"Well, I've already done it, haven't i?"
Techno looked at him and took a deep breath, his face returning to a neutral expression
"Im going to get wood. You stay here and make sure to come and find me if you see Dream."
Dream. Tommy thought to himself, his stomach churning at the thought. He wasn't going back, its fine. Techno would keep him safe, he has all this time anyway. He looked back up at Technoblade and nodded
"Alright, bye." Tommy replied.
Soon after that, Tommy was alone, again. He was bored, it was better than exile but he was starting to doubt if it was a good idea leaving, if Dream found him, he would be dead. He sat in worry for a few minutes, wondering if he should go back. No. No. He is not going back to that hell. Dream is a bad person. It doesn't matter if he was the only one who visited. He didn't deserve to be in exile in the first place, right? He decided to look out of the window with the telescope Techno had sitting on the floor. He grabbed it and tried to look through it, shuffling the modes as he looked at the snow.
"How does this thing even wor-" He cut himself off.
"Dream." Dream was walking here, he could see him in the distance walking through the trees. Tommy began breathing heavily as he thought of what to do, he had a few options
One: Stay put, do not make a single sound.
Two: Go get Techno and hope for the best.
Three: Give himself in. (which he obviously wasn't going to do.)
He considered his options and decided the only logical and safe option was 2. If he stayed put, Dream could break in and take him. If he picked three then he's just giving himself away. He put the telescope back on the floor and grabbed some enderpearls from Techno's chest and ran out of the front door, hoping Dream wouldn't see him. He enderpearled straight to Techno, who he could also see through the telescope.
"Techno!" Tommy cried.
Techno looked at Tommy with disbelief, confused on why Tommy was yelling so loud.
"Your hurting my ears! What's wrong?" Techno spoke.
"Your ears don't matter right now, Dream is near the cabin! I saw him through your telescope and he is going to kill me! You need to fight him!" Tommy rambled.
"First off, why did you touch my telescope, second, why do you have my enderpearls and finally, I'm not fighting anyone." Techno said back quickly.
"But hes going to kill me!"
"No he won't, lets just go back in the cabin, you can hide in a closet."
Tommy stared at Techno with fear. Despite this, he ended up agreeing with him and walked back to the cabin with him, cautious of every noise that wasn't Techno or him talking. They eventually arrived, Tommy didn't realise how many enderpearls he used to get to Techno so fast because he was now exhausted from walking so much back to the cabin. Techno looked at him before speaking.
"You can keep those, i don't want them now that you've touched them." Techno said that last part sarcastically.
"What the hell! How dare you!" Tommy fought back.
They both laughed but was cut off by a knock on the door. Tommy's heart sank, techno pointed the the closet and signalled him to hide inside it. Tommy ran over and hid inside as he heard Techno open the
door.
"Can I help you Dream?" Techno asked.
"Lets cut to the chase, Techno." Dream said, walking in.
"Ask permission to come in next time" Techno said mockingly.
"Where.Is.Tommy" Dream said with a fake respectful tone.
"I don't know what your talking about." Techno spoke back without a return of Dream's "respectful" voice.
"I know you have him, pass him over and we can remain civil with eachother."
"I don't, that's unless you want to call in the favour.
Dream stood still for a moment, then doing a blood-curdling grin and laugh.
"What if I do?" Dream asked manically.
"A deal is a deal." Techno lend his arm out.
Dream shook his hand.
Tommy was listening and looking through the crack of the closet and froze after he saw and heard this, he then lost balance and fell straight into the closet door, revealing himself to Dream.
"Sorry kid, cant turn down a deal." Techno walked over and lent a hand towards him.
Tommy slapped his hand. He was stunned. His own brother betrayed him. To give him to this horrible person just for some sort of favour. He picked himself up and stared Techno dead in the eyes.
"This is all your fault, Technoblade." Tommy spoke with hatred and he walked past him, over to dream. Tommy was still clutching the enderpearls as he looked at Dream with anger.
"Let's go Tommy." Dream said, grabbing tommy by his arm and squeezing it.
"Pleasure doing business with you, Techno." Dream spoke as he shut the door.
