Work Text:

“Hey, Tsukasa-kun. Let’s play a game.”

The blonde lifted his gaze from his phone, meeting Rui’s eyes. He wore a slightly mischievous grin, which quickly let the vampire know that he wasn’t up to anything good. He furrowed his eyebrows slightly.

“What is it?” he grumbled. Rui only responded with a flick of his pointer finger, beckoning him closer on the couch. Tsukasa sat up, scooting to sit at Rui’s feet, who then hoisted one leg onto the back of the couch and let the other fall off the edge, allowing more space for Tsukasa.

The alchemist patted his chest without saying anything. Flexing his claws in brief contemplation, he knew Rui must be planning something if he were to phrase something as a “game.” Tsukasa finally gave in and obliged. He softly laid atop Rui, resting his head on his chest, the other’s loud heartbeat ringing in his sensitive ears.

Rui tangled his hand in Tsukasa’s hair, scratching his head. “Good boy,” he cooed. The vampire’s face warmed at the praise and he nuzzled further into his partner.

The two stayed like this for a while, Rui rhythmically petting Tsukasa’s head. This would be quite relaxing for most people. A tangle of limbs, the warmth of two bodies shared- but for the vampire, this was anything but relaxing. Rui’s heartbeat was so damn loud .

Tsukasa was finding it increasingly difficult to sit still. He shifted his face to point toward Rui’s, pressing his ears back in annoyance.

“You’re doing this on purpose,” the vampire growled, dark eyes meeting Rui’s.

An innocent smile retorted his accusation. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Rui used to be so careful with Tsukasa. Not that he was ever afraid of the vampire, but he used to be mindful of his actions. If he noticed that Tsukasa was becoming a little unruly, he would allow him some of his blood to let him come back to his normal self. As they’ve gotten closer, Rui has become a little more daring, to say the least.

The vampire would never bite Rui without explicit permission, and Rui has taken advantage of that. He found himself teasing Tsukasa more and more, permitting himself to see more of Tsukasa’s wild (often rather pathetic) side. Rui would bring him close to his neck, letting the vampire drool all over him, before pulling him away without allowing him to sink his fangs into him.

That must be what Rui was up to. He was trying to drive Tsukasa mad with bloodlust. What a scheming bastard he could be, but at the same time, the vampire was hesitant to leave his side. It would be so easy to untangle himself from his partner and sulk in his room, but something kept him tied in this uncomfortable spot. Perhaps, subconsciously, he was excited by this power Rui held over him… but now was definitely not the time to unravel whatever sort of submissive complex he might be hiding deep inside himself.

Tsukasa absentmindedly kneaded Rui’s abdomen, closing his eyes shut tight to focus on his partner’s body heat rather than the sound of the blood pumping through his veins. Into his heart. Out of his heart. Ba-dump. Ba-dump. He let out an annoyed whine, swallowing back a build-up of saliva. Ba-dump.

“Someone’s rather restless,” Rui kindly pointed out the obvious, lightly drawing a circle with his finger on Tsukasa’s back. Piercing red eyes only glared back at him.

“You know exactly what you’re doing,” the vampire responded through gritted teeth, a string of drool dripping from his mouth and onto Rui’s shirt. Smiling, Rui dragged his thumb across Tsukasa’s bottom lip, wiping away the saliva. This only deepened his already flushed cheeks.

The alchemist pulled his hand away, bringing it up to his own neck and tilted his head to the side. He tapped the side of his neck with his finger.

Tsukasa’s eyes widened. Quickly, he dove into his partner’s neck, wrapping his lips around the tender skin. He was immediately pulled off, Rui tugging his head back by his hair.

“Ah-ah!” Tsukasa’s surprised gaze was met with stern, golden eyes. “I didn’t say you could bite yet, Tsukasa-kun,” he scolded.

The vampire whined loudly, pouting in frustration. “I-I know!! I wasn’t gonna..” He brought a hand up to his face, hiding his embarrassment.

“It’s okay,” Rui reassured, gently laying Tsukasa’s head back against his neck, massaging where he pulled his hair a little too roughly. “I know you wouldn’t.” Tsukasa was quick to begin lapping at the soft skin, spreading his quickly-accumulating saliva. He sucked at and kissed the skin, acting as if doing so would bring even the tiniest bit of Rui’s blood onto his tongue. It never did, but it kept his mouth busy.

Tsukasa pressed his lips against Rui’s jugular. His heartbeat had quickened, louder than ever. With labored breaths, he applied pressure from his tongue to the vein, drooling over the pulse. A deep, animalistic growl escaped his throat.

He felt Rui’s grip on him tighten. “Good boy,” Rui spoke, his voice coming out higher than usual. He continued rubbing circles into his back. “You’re being such a good boy, Tsukasa-kun.” The vampire moaned softly, burying his face further into his neck.

A good boy…

The way Rui was able to completely pull Tsukasa apart and turn him into a pitiful mess was incredible. And yet, there was nothing Tsukasa wanted more than to follow his partner’s orders and be praised. Everything inside his biology was telling him to just bite down , bleed his prey dry . His roaring hunger would be satiated so quickly; his fangs were already so close to blood and flesh. He choked back a frustrated sob at the feeling of Rui’s supple skin brushing against his canines. If he broke, Rui would not praise him. Therefore, Tsukasa must not break.

More gently this time, Rui tugged at Tsukasa’s hair to pry him from his neck. His face was red, eyes dark and unfocused, and his mouth was smeared with saliva. Sharp fangs protruded from his parted lips, heavy breaths escaping with low whines. The corners of his eyes were wet with tears threatening to spill. Vision blurred, Tsukasa could barely make out the gentle smile Rui gave him.

Rui brought his hands up to cup the vampire’s face. He massaged his cheeks softly, Tsukasa leaning into the touch. He pressed one of his thumbs to his  lips, chuckling when Tsukasa brought it into his mouth. He held it firm in between his teeth, but not with enough force to break skin.

“Are you hungry?” he asked simply, as if that wasn’t obvious.

Tsukasa groaned, nodding his head with furrowed eyebrows. Rui flicked his thumb against Tsukasa’s tongue before pulling it out of his mouth. He wiped the saliva on his shirt.

Prying one of Tsukasa’s hands off his midsection, he interlaced his fingers with his partner’s. “What is it that you want, Tsukasa-kun?” He purred, rubbing his thumb against the back of Tsukasa’s hand.

“P-please, Rui,” the vampire mumbled, drool trickling from his lips. The rise and fall of his chest quickened. “Your blood. I-I need your blood.”

Rui propped himself up on one elbow, leaned forward, and caught Tsukasa’s lips in a kiss. A whine escaped his throat, turning into a frustrated moan as Rui deepened the kiss. His tongue feverishly pressed against the vampire’s, savoring the excess saliva coating his mouth.

Their kiss didn’t last long. Tsukasa broke free, pushing Rui back against the couch with a strained growl. Tsukasa now towered over him, his lips twisted in a snarl, drool and tears dripping onto the alchemist’s face. Eyes wide and face flushed, Rui let out a shaky breath.

“There’s my little predator,” he sighed. Softly shutting his eyes, Rui turned his head to the side and bared his neck for the vampire. “You can bite me now.”

Tsukasa didn’t waste any time pouncing. In only a heartbeat his fangs sank into the side of Rui’s neck, puncturing his soft skin. Rui’s initial gasp turned into a moan. He sucked at the wound, groaning as the warm blood from his lover cascaded down his throat. The anticipation only heightened the experience, pleasure flowing throughout his body. He barely felt the tight grip Rui had on his back, his mind growing hazy with desire. He needed more . Tsukasa’s appetite felt insatiable.

He released his hold briefly, only catching a glance of Rui’s unfocused gaze, flushed cheeks, and soft moans, before diving back into his neck with another sharp bite. He relished in the metallic tang of Rui’s blood, licking and sucking on his neck with increasing force.

More. More.

Tsukasa’s claws dug into Rui’s shoulders, feeling him wince. He released his bite, sinking his teeth in again.

More.

He felt a weak tug on the back of his shirt, drawing a growl from his throat. He stilled for a moment, teeth latched onto Rui’s neck, before another tug came. His partner’s deep breaths brought him back, snapping him out of his daze.

Tsukasa pulled back from Rui with a sharp inhale, suddenly acutely aware of where he was. Rui’s pupils were blown wide, eyes lazily trained on the wall. Dark blush dusted his cheeks and a line of drool escaped his mouth. Despite the absolute bloodbath Tsukasa had created, he looked in utter bliss.

Panic set into the vampire. That was a lot of blood. He flew off of Rui and raced to the bathroom, recovering the first aid kit from below the sink before swiftly returning. He made quick work, having become used to the routine by now. Rui remained quiet and compliant as his partner disinfected his bite wounds and dressed them with bandages, cleaning as much blood and saliva from the surrounding areas as he could. When he was sure he was done tending to Rui, he went back to the bathroom to clean himself up.

His face was covered in blood. Tsukasa stared at his reflection in the mirror, slowly swiping two fingers across his chin and bringing them to his lips. He watched himself as he licked the fingers clean, the familiar taste of Rui coating his tongue. He flushed, ignoring his thoughts and washing the rest of the blood off in the sink.

When he returned to the living room, Rui was already sitting up. He still appeared slightly out of it, but a genuine smile tugged at his lips. His eyes lit up when he saw Tsukasa.

“Tsukasa-kun~!” he cooed, outstretching his arms. The vampire rushed to his side, taking Rui’s hands instead of leaping into his arms, like the alchemist had hoped.

“A-are you okay?” he asked, voice tinged with worry.

His partner nodded happily. “Never been better!” Rui patted the couch next to him. “Come lay with me.” Tsukasa let out a sigh and obliged, planting himself when he was directed to. Rui wrapped his arms around Tsukasa and pulled him back against his chest.

This time, however, the steady sound of his heartbeat was calming.

The two laid with each other for a while, Rui gently petting Tsukasa’s head. Several minutes of silence followed as Rui let his vampire’s adrenaline run out.

Finally, he spoke. “You sure did bite me a lot this time, Tsukasa-kun,” he giggled, intertwining his fingers in Tsukasa’s long, blonde hair.

“You were provoking me!” Tsukasa met Rui’s eyes, furrowing his eyebrows. Light pink dusted his cheeks as he remembered what Rui was able to do to him.

His partner kissed the top of his head. “You’re so obedient, though. Such a good boy,” Rui purred, giggling at the way Tsukasa groaned in embarrassment. He scratched behind his ears. “You’re so good at following directions. How cute.” The alchemist smiled at the way Tsukasa seemed to melt in his touch.

Quietly this time, Tsukasa asked, “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

“I wouldn’t let you hurt me,” Rui gently reassured. He smiled. “I just like to see how far you can go.” He practically felt the vampire’s seething glare.

“You’re such an asshole, Rui,” Tsukasa huffed, burying his face into his partner’s chest.

“I’m your asshole.”

“Whatever,” he groaned, smiling into his touch.
