The day started normal, nothing crazy or out of the ordinary, black sapphire sat in his room at his desk looking over the social after he had published a new rumor.
Most of the time people hate them and become angered when their favorite idol cookie or influencer gets rumored about, black sapphire adored, and others theorize trying to figure out if it is true or another one of his lies.
One comment stood out though “When I catch you black Sapphire your burnt dough” black sapphire giggled.
“Such creative words”
Shadow Milk would tell him to be careful, he enjoys black sapphire little rumors, encouraging like some sort of…dad at their son's soccer game, a strange comparison but it works.
But black Sapphire paid no mind, nobody would dare put their hands on him.
That was until he decided to have a causal walk in the square, wanting to treat himself.
But just as he rounds a corner a kick in his step the cookie is grabbed by the back of the collar and brought into a small alley corner away from prying eyes.
He gasped shocked by the sudden display against him.
Once his back is forced to a wall he looks up.
“Your black Sapphire cookie right?” the cookie that towered above looked pissed and crowded the black Sapphire space purposely to intimidate him.
If he learned one thing from his master it was not to let another know your fear.
The shorter cookie smirks staring straight up not breaking eye content “So you know me, I'm really that famous, hmm?”
The grip around his front collar became harsher “How dare you talk about shimmering glitter!”
So it's a die-hard fan who didn't like what Sapphire said, of course.
“Ah I see, I'm simply sharing news-”
“I don't give a damn! I'll have justice for her.”
Before Sapphire could react the bigger cookie slams him into the ground “Ngh-”
Pain shoots up his back and struggles against the hold on him, his top was most definitely sketched now, just his luck.
It doesn’t stop there, all of the cookie-built-up anger was taken out on him, black sapphire doesn’t know when he began to dissociate, but probably after the 2nd time, he was pushed onto the ground.
It must have been hours of him just lying there even after the other cookie left.
He ignored the tremble in his small body as he began to curl in on himself.
He felt weak, he's not supposed to be weak.
A soft wing sounded, it felt far but in reality, it was right beside him.
He couldn't find the strength to go toward the source.
Groaning quietly Sapphire opens and closes his eyes reluctantly deciding, in the end, to stay close.
Not long after there was a whooshing effect.
“Black sapphire cookie! I tried contacting you, I hope you’re not trying to slack off-“Shadow Milk pauses mid-way through the portal he made.
Rushing steps made their way to the cookie lying on the ground “What happened?…sapphire” Shadow Milk paused to allow black Sapphire to speak but nothing but soft breathing was returned.
Shadow Milk curses, it doesn't take much to pick him up, his eyes tracing over the small cracks on his frame.
He was attacked and was not the winner.
Shadow Milk goes back into the portal now in his palace and takes black Sapphire to his room, he needs to remind black Sapphire to clean his room.
Placing black Sapphire on the bed he began healing him “Stupid cookie” he mutters.
Shadow Milk cares for his two sidekicks dearly, even if he won’t outright show it only, so there being a chance some random cookie went out their way to put their numbs on one of them brought him to anger and confusion.
He told Sapphire to be careful with his little rumors, looking up at Sapphire's face with reluctance, it was clear the younger one didn’t listen.
“I swear once you wake up…I’ll” Shadow Milk couldn’t finish his sentence, he was not sure what he’d do, but he’d make sure black sapphire didn’t attempt publishing another rumor any time soon.
The figure on the bed began to stir awake, also waking another.
Candy Apple shoots up, squealing as she brings Sapphire Cookie into a hug before he’s even available to sit up.
Not fully awake he just pats her back as she rambles about b something, it was hard for him to decipher what the girl was saying due to her quick speech.
He does catch the last bit “I'll get master!” she then runs out of the run not bothering to close the door after.
Black Sapphire sighed, soon shadow milk was emerging from one of his portals, Candy Apple surprisingly not coming out of it with him, he must have told her not to come with.
He could tell my shadow milk menacing neutral face, he usually makes that fast when he is trying to control his anger.
“Sapphire…”
He gulps but sits up in the bed, shadow milk makes his way to the left side of the bed “Care to give me the full story of what happened? I think I know, but you know I'm curious about stories!” he smiles but there was a creek in his browns, and he sounded overly cheeky.
“Urm, right..”
It doesn't take long for him to recap to the beast, who nods along.
Once finished there was a horrible long pause of just silence.
“Do you know what this means for you?”
“No….”
“You're grounded! Idiot! I told you to be careful, and not to just walk all willy-nilly after making a rumor, you piss off cookies and you think they just let you off the hook? And without your staff! You keep it on you all the time, why must you have to go out without it this time!”
Shadow Milk scolds him not holding back as he stares down at him.
Breathing heavily he stops “Just don't do something as foolish as that again.
Shadow Milk then opens up his portal again “And your on bed rest, and I mean it when I say your grounded”
And then he was gone.
Black Sapphire didn't even realize he had left a bowl of jelly beans before leaving at first on the bedside table, he smiled lightly at the gesture.
