“Please drink it!” the girl begs, eyes sparkling as she holds up a light blue potion bottle up to black Sapphire.
Black Sapphire wasn't interested in the slightest, in honestly he was starting to gain headaches from her constant begging.
You see Candy Apple has managed to buy a potion from a cookie in town and wanted black Sapphire to try it for her.
Which he was very suspicious about.
“Do you even know what's in that thing, what if I die?” questioned with a frown as he crossed his arms.
She groans “Master shadow milk could just bring you back I think!” even her voice sounded unsure while saying that, she shakes her head as if pushing away a thought “Anyways you're super strong! So you'll be fine”
They both stare at each other for a few beats.
“Fine, give me it”
“YIPPIE!” she hands it off, already bouncing on her toes, anticipating black Sapphire's next move while black Sapphire agonized over it.
With a big breath, and a silent prayer ‘Life is short anyway’ was his last thought.
He then chugs it, pulling it away from his mouth after coughing handing the now empty potion bottle back to Candy Apple who takes it, but her eyes do not leave black Sapphire, not wanting to miss a single second of what could happen.
“So how do you feel?” both of them were tense, unsure as to what the potion may do.
Black Sapphire shrugs, the potion must have been some hoax “I feel-”
Just as he responded he suddenly felt a tightening feeling in his chest.
He quickly hovers his hand over his chest as if it may stop but of course that didn't do anything “I think something is wrong..”
Candy apple began to panic a little, she moved forward to try and see what she could do to help.
But then black Sapphire hunched over falling to his knees, his legs too shaky to keep upright.
Candy Apple watches in shock as black Sapphire's body begins to shrink, black Sapphire notices this discovery too, and he looks up at her “Go get master shadow milk” he demands with his teeth clenched.
“I..okay” She runs out of the room running to where she last saw their master.
His breathing picks up and he fights everything in him to not get up knowing it worsen the pain.
Due to indifferent breathing, Sapphire's vision starts to blur as he loses consciousness.
Candy Apple rushes back to the room with shadow milk close behind, he's confused as to what the two have gotten into now.
Especially to have Candy Apple this worried, she didn't explain the full story just telling Shadow Milk to follow her as it being an emergency.
So when they enter the room, both of them but mostly Candy Apple are surprised to see no black Sapphire cookie, just a mop of his clothes.
Candy Apple cries “It killed him!” she screams dramatically dropping to the floor in front of the clothes.
“You will be missed..” she sniffles.
Shadow milk was unamused, he tows over to the mop of clothes but instead of crying historically and assuming the worst he examines them.
Just from doing that, he notices a lump moving as if stuck under the clothes.
Raising a brown he lifted the clothing untangling them, his jaw dropped, candy apple who was still kneeling didn't seem to notice until she was given a quick tap on the shoulder.
“Hm?” looking up she then sees Shadow Milk now holding a small black Sapphire.
She stands from her position fast nearly falling over “Is that..?”
Shadow Milk nods unsteadily he was not prepared for something such as this “black Sapphire”
The beast cookie held the baby out looking it over, he hadn't seen a baby cookie in a long time, and this baby was his sidekick so it made the whole situation more intense, same purple hair but a little shorter, and downturned eyes, with a little but sharp snaggled tooth.
His gaze turns to candy apple “Urm- Im not sure what we will do now-”
He cuts off by her squealing and and making grabby hands to try and take black Sapphire “he's so cute! Omg and so small, please let me see him, let me see him, let me see him” she asks repeatedly.
“No!” Shadow Milk kept black Sapphire out of her reach “He's too fragile! Anywho I got a task for you since I'm guessing you're part of the reason he's like this, run along and try and find whoever gave you that potion and get answers out of them”
Pouting sadly she agrees, he ruffles her white hair hoping it encourages her, and he continues “Good, now let me deal with…this”

After buying (stealing) some diapers from a store with a portal and putting one on Sapphire, Shadow Milk began to think.
He had half a mind to go ask one of the other beasts for help, he doesn't have enough knowledge or experience with baby cookies.
He found them annoying honestly, constant crying, needing multiple things all of the time, and then they couldn't speak to what they wanted.
So he sat on his bed in his room with baby black Sapphire on his lap, supporting his back so he wouldn't fall backward.
Black Sapphire was far from quiet, before the peace they were having now he was crying like crazy, even trying to hit shadow milk with his small hands.
“You are such a hassle for me, you know that?” his eyes glare begrudgingly down at the baby, who was clueless, shadow milk expression flatters, as he stares longer at black Sapphire, what crumbles his facade was when the baby smiles.
He groans “But you're such a cutie” Shadow milk almost sounds like candy apple now, he stands holding Sapphire up spinning him around in the air and the baby giggles as he is played with.
“Whos a cute baby, hmm I should take pictures, I don't have any childhood pics of you”
Shadow Milks states with his usual big smile.
Shadow Milk tried making it seem like he didn't care at first, but here he is fonding over him now.
He then stops with a horrid expression, holding Sapphire to his chest carefully, letting him rest from the spinning he endured.
“Is this how mothers feel…”
