Chapter 1: Glowing Flower: Part 1

Chapter Text

Jasmine stood in the field, her yellow dress swaying and twirling at her knees. She moved gracefully around the meadow, a sea of flowers beneath her feet. Her blonde hair fell over her shoulders, moving and gently blowing in the wind as she danced through the flowers. She turned her head towards the sky, the sun was slowly lowering beneath the horizon, casting an orange and pink glow across the sky and her skin.

A giggle broke from her lips as the wind hit her skin, her eyes glossing over with the force of it. The evening glow turned to night, but she continued her prancing throughout the meadow.

She looked down, flowers surrounded her bare feet. She wiggled her feet and legs, the daisies tickling her skin. She looked up across the sea of flowers, it seemed to go on forever. She spread her arms out, like an angel's wings, as she began to run.

She relished in the wind against her skin, at the flowers brushing and rubbing her ankles as she ran. She grinned as she ran, her cheeks and nose rosy with the chill of the night.

She stopped suddenly, noticing a small flash of light to her side. She turned her head, looking for the source, soon spotting a small flower in the distance.

The flower was white, it's petals glowing with an ethereal white light. She slowly approached; her eyes wide as she stared at the otherworldly flower.

She fell to her knees in front of it, her dress trapped beneath her legs. The yellow of the dress splayed around her, making her seem like a drop of sun in the dark of night. She gingerly reached her hand out to the light of the flower.

The tips of her fingers had only just brushed against the petals when she began to fall. The world faded out, and she no longer felt the wind on her skin as she fell through the void of nothingness.

As she opened her eyes to the voice, colors bloomed and blossomed around her. Dots of light began to glow in the distances, greens and purples and blues dancing across the void. Thousands of stars and galaxies forming and moving in front of her eyes. She was starstruck, to say the absolute least.

Her dress was flying upwards, like it was caught in the gentle winds of the meadow, though there was no wind around her now.

Her eyes were drawn back to the colors as she switched onto her stomach, or as much as she could in this directionless world, her blonde hair flowed behind her as she soared through the sky full of stars.

It all came to an abrupt halt, though she found herself unafraid. Her feet met the soft ground, grass on her skin, as slowly, a forest appeared around her.

She did a slow twirl, her eyes wandering around the glade she had landed in. Blue moonlight shined on her skin, gracing the small clearing with celestial light. The trees towered above her body, forming a circle. Her eyes were drawn away as she heard a crack across the clearing.

There, across the clearing, and as real as she was, was a man.
