Sweet Science Experiments (That Really Aren't That Sweet)

Summary:

Tree gets drunk/sick after Golf Ball uses him for science. Fanny is very upset about that.

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

“Are you positive this is a good idea?” Tree questioned, looking at the big box of chocolate balls Golf Ball had managed to find. He was tasked with eating as many as he could handle, and then past that.

“For the name of science, of course it is! Besides, this could be valuable information for you to retain.” Golf Ball explained.

Welp. Looks like Tree was stuck in this predicament. He went ahead and ate the first one, and already started to feel the effects. He hated this. Golf Ball had hooked him up to some machine, and was writing stuff down. Pressing buttons. Doing… whatever she does. Oh well. He’s going to suck it up.

Around 20 chocolate balls in, Tree was feeling terrible. Not just weird, but straight terrible. It felt as if the world was spinning, even though he was not only completely still, but had only been sitting still for at least 10 minutes. Part of him just wanted to lay down and (try to) sleep.

“Alright. That should be enough data for a simulation past this point. Give me a few minutes, and you’ll be free to go!” Golf Ball mentioned, before walking over and unhooking the machine from Tree.

Once everything was said and done, Tree stood up, only to immediately trip over himself. Golf Ball went back to her desk, and wrote down some more notes. Tree didn’t even bother messing with Golf Ball, just attempting to get outside while stumbling over his feet with every step. He felt sick.

After what felt like hours, Tree finally made it out of the stupid factory. He fell down the stairs at least 3 times, and felt like he couldn’t take it anymore. He was… so weak… and felt sick…

Fanny and Black Hole had spent the last 20 minutes looking for Tree. He had told them he was going to help someone with something, but everything he spoke about was very vague. All that was mentioned was that he should be coming back by now, and that he didn’t even know what he was helping with.

“Where haven’t we checked?” Fanny asked.

“The only places we haven’t checked are Golf Ball’s Underground Factory and Cloudy’s Collection.” Black Hole muttered back.

“Then let’s go!”

They decided to check Golf Ball’s Underground Factory first. Lo and behold, they found Tree, passed out at the entrance. Before either could say anything, Fanny dove head-first into the factory, and jumped down the stairs right next to Golf Ball.

“Hmm?” Golf Ball turned around, only to see Fanny face to face with her, absolutely pissed off.

“WHY IS TREE PASSED OUT AT THE ENTRANCE OF YOUR FACTORY?!?!??!?” Fanny screeched at the top of her lungs.

“Well, he did agree to the data collection we did. It was simple enough, just seeing how sugar affects him.” Golf Ball stayed calm and collected.

“YOU WHAT?!?? ARE YOU STUPID YOU BOZO-BRAINED BOSSY BOT IDIOT?!?” Fanny only got more pissed, yelling loud enough for even Black Hole to hear.

“No, the data could be valuable for future testing on other contestants or people in general to diagnose sugar intolerances.” Golf Ball explained why she desired to do the tests.

“YOU COULD OF KILLED HIM IF YOU GAVE HIM MUCH MORE CONSIDERING HE’S PASSED OUT AT THE ENTRANCE!” Fanny knocked Golf Ball off her feet.

At this point, Black Hole decided to intercept, slowly going down the stairs to stop Fanny’s yelling. As he went down the stairs, he heard quite the conversation.

“I only stopped him once I gathered enough data. Besides, if he actually had died, we could of easily recovered him.” Golf Ball elaborated further.

“I HATE YOU AND YOUR STUPIDITY TO THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA!” Fanny screamed.

Before anything else could be spoken, Black Hole lifted Fanny up, basically his form of dragging her away. She relented, but clearly wasn’t done with Golf Ball yet. Once they left the factory, using Black Hole’s help, the two got Tree on Fanny’s back, and walked back to the hotel.

Tree woke up with a nasty headache. He was, at first, unsure of where he was, until he realized someone had brought him to the hotel and tucked him into his bed. He felt terrible, with foggy memory and generally pretty weak along with his headache. Who even brought him here? It felt too bright, as he turned where his head was facing his pillow.

He heard his door creak open. He really didn’t want to know who was bothering him for what reason, he just woke up, and he felt miserable. He didn’t even have the energy to get whoever was bothering him to get out.

“Hey buddy, how are you doing?” Fanny asked, surprisingly quietly, as if she was trying to make Tree as positive as possible.

“Gmmn…” Tree didn’t feel like talking. Or doing anything really.

“Alright. You want me to get you anything? Maybe some water?” Fanny wanted to be as helpful for Tree as possible. Tree gave a simple thumbs up in response.

Fanny promptly left, leaving Tree alone for a bit. He wanted to go back to sleep, but wasn’t tired. He just laid there, until Fanny returned with a glass of water on her head.

“Hey, I got you some water. Cold and fresh.” Fanny whispered. Tree took the glass, weakly sat up, and drank the entire thing pretty quickly.

Fanny chuckled, “You must of been pretty thirsty. Want me to get Four and X to make some soup?”

“Mhm…” Tree mumbled, before laying back down.

Fanny went to tell Four and X to make Tree some soup, but first went ahead and gave Tree her noise-canceling headphones (just in case he wanted to use them to listen to music or quiet the hotel). Once she got downstairs, however, she saw a familiar face she wasn’t too happy with.

“So, TB, with the valuable data I collected earlier today, I enlist your help to make a simulation with me!” Golf Ball was very happy to spend time with TB, in which this was the perfect opportunity!

“Alright Golfie, but was the data even ethically gathered?” Tennis Ball questioned.

“He agreed to help me collect that data, and I think that is good enough!” Golf Ball explained.

“AND?!?! HE PASSED OUT AT THE ENTRANCE OF YOUR FACTORY AND ISN’T WELL!” Fanny called out from the bottom of the stairs. She wasn't going to get the soup for a while, she had more important matters.

“Well if it isn’t Little Miss Hateful, back once again.” Golf Ball remarked, clearly fueling the fire within Fanny.

“WELL MAYBE I HAVE A GOOD REASON THIS TIME, BOZO!” Fanny yelled.

“Well the scientific research will be invaluable at a small sacrifice.” Golf Ball was clearly getting upset, but kept her voice calm.

“SMALL SACRIFICE?!?! ARE YOU INSANE?!” Fanny questioned, getting closer to Golf Ball.

“WHY DON’T YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP?!?” Golf Ball snapped.

The room suddenly went dead-silent. Not only did Golf Ball snap, but there was an unspoken rule she just broke. Since Four and X started to work in the kitchen, it was unspoken that no one were to swear around them, since back in BFB that would land you punishment. Depending on what you said, the punishment would get worse. Golf Ball not only broke the unspoken rule, but broke it using the worst of the words.

“Did I just hear what I think I heard?” Four called out from the kitchen. The room was tense.

X came over to Golf Ball and Fanny, who, even though the room was silent, they were still angry with each other. X looked at Golf Ball, and then Fanny. Before much longer, X grabbed Golf Ball, and called out to Four:

“I think it was her!”

“Grrr… One week in the EXIT for you!”

Four proceeded to suck Golf Ball up, not realizing she would be actually enjoying the next week. Although Four really did not want to help Fanny (for starting the argument), X understood that it was started out of a place of concern for Tree, and agreed to make him some soup.

Notes:

If you guys want a fic focused around Golf Ball in the EXIT I will write that. I probably will actually write it either way.
